Liam

I was sitting on the floor for over an hour crying after Ethan told me everything, I was shocked and heartbroken because of what I did to her.

"She would never forgive me," I said to Ethan who was sitting on the couch with his head in his hands.

"I don't think she's mad at you," he said and I shook my head.

"You don't understand Ethan, I said things to her hurtful things, I said it on purpose, I said it to hurt her because of what I felt at the moment, I was selfish, I only thought of the hurt she caused me,"

"You didn't know what was going on, I think she would understand,"

"She might understand that but I don't think she would understand why I almost became a monster, Ethan I was so close to hurting her and our babies," I said and Ethan sighed.

"I don't know Liam,"

"I do, I was selfish, mean, and insensitive she might be mad at me or even disappointed at the moment but I will get my wife back, I will make sure she forgives me and I will do my best to be a better person to her," I said using my hand to dry the rest of my tears.

"That's the spirit man, you are right, crying does make you weaker than you already are but once realization sets in you'll feel stronger and get more determined," Ethan said as I stood up.

"I'm not sure what that is supposed to mean but thanks man, now let's go get my wife," I said and he raised a brow.

"What?"

"You said that like you know where she is,"

"I don't know but we'll find out, let's start by talking to Isabella," I said and he shook his head.

"I don't think Isabella knows anything,"

"She might have a clue,"

"Okay, but you can't leave this house looking like this," he said looking at me from head to toe.

"I'll go and take care of that,"

I took care of it as I said and we went to his place, my mum was really glad to see me, so was Isabella, I missed them even though I didn't admit it to them when they said it.

"Where is Laura? Isabella kept telling me she's fine but she won't tell me where she is," my mum said and I looked at Isabella whose eyes met mine at first but then she looked away.

"To be sincere mum, even I don't know but don't worry, she'll be back soon," I told her and she nodded even though she looked worried.

I left the sitting room with Ethan and Isabella so that we could talk.

"Isabella, I need you to be sincere with me," I said to her when we settled in Ethan's library.

"Okay?"

"Did Laura tell you where she was going?" I asked and she looked at Ethan.

"I told him everything already," Ethan said and she nodded.

"She didn't tell me, I tried making Tracy tell me but she said she didn't know either, she said Laura had it all planned out already,"

"Laura didn't even give you a clue,"

"Not even one,"

"What are we going to do now?" Ethan asked and I sighed.

"We make calls and search for clues," I said and they nodded.

"Where do we start searching for clues?"

"The mansion,"

We left Ethan's place and headed to my place, we called people on the way and we supplied them with the information they needed to help us.

"Where do we start from?" Ethan asked when we get to the mansion.

"Tracy's room, that was Laura's former room," I said and he nodded but I noticed Isabella watching us with a brown raised.

"What?"

"You are telling him where to start looking but you've not told us what we are looking for," she said and I frowned.

"I don't know, we are looking for clues,"

"And what do they look like?

"You'll know when you see it, let's go," I said and we moved.

We checked everywhere, Tracy's room, our room, Isabella's room, but there was nothing, not even the smallest clue.

"I'm not surprised, she has not been around here for over three months," Ethan said sitting on the couch.

"That's true," Isabella said sitting on another couch, what Ethan said suddenly made me realize something.

"You are right! She's not been here for over 3 months, Ethan do you know where Laura stayed for those two months she was away from home?" I asked and he nodded.

"One of my houses, the one closest to this place,"

"Oh, so she was close all this while,"

"Yeah, she was,"

"Okay, let's go,"

We left the house and we were on our way to the house which was an hour's drive from the mansion when we received a call from one of the people helping us search for Laura.

"Any update?" I asked the moment I picked up.

"There is, thing is, she is not in North America, she left over two weeks ago,"

"What? She left the continent?" I asked in surprise.

"Yes she did sir, we are trying to determine where she is at the moment,"

"Good, I need more updates," I said then I hung up.

"They left the continent?" Isabella asked and I nodded.

"We better find those clues," Ethan said but I was not paying attention, my mind was gradually drifting, it was like my thoughts were floating.

I got so lost in thought that Isabella had to tap me when we got to the house, we went in immediately and we began to search.

I checked the sitting room, Ethan checked the room Tracy used and Isabella checked the room Laura used.

Unfortunately, I didn't find any clue in the sitting room and Ethan came back downstairs without any too.

"Nothing here just this safety book for ladies," Isabella said raising Laura's safety handbook as she came downstairs

The moment I saw it I remembered Laura telling me she wrote some things inside, so I took the book from Isabella and I started going through it.

The book did have tips on safety but those tips barely occupied five pages, the rest of the book was blank pages, most of those pages were filled with Laura's handwriting, I quickly turned to the last page her handwriting was and I saw it.

"What's going on Liam?" Ethan asked and I looked at them feeling partly relieved, partly scared, and partly mad at myself, I opened my mouth and I let the words out.
