Chapter 817 Those Who Don't Know Might Think It's a Gang Fight

The moonlight was beautiful at night. After a few minutes of driving, they arrived at the villa. Only the housekeeper was there, and Paul took Christina's suitcase to the room where they stayed last time.

That room was the master bedroom, and it was already stocked with women's toiletries. The walk-in closet also had clothes which Paul had bought for her.

Christina finally got a good look at the bedroom.

They had both been drinking that day, and after they had sex, she didn't have the mind to visit the bedroom.

Paul brought in a glass of milk. "Warm milk, it helps you sleep better."

Christina took it and drank a few sips, holding it with both hands.

Paul hugged her from behind. "I asked Nicholas to buy a wedding house for us in City B. When you return to the country, you can check it out. You can decide on the decoration, but I have one request: I want a big massage bathtub."

He added, "One that can fit two people."

For some reason, Christina blushed when she heard the last part.

Paul's breath was warm on her cheek as he spoke.

Just when Christina thought Paul might make a further move, he let go of her and yawned.

"I'm going to take a shower first. I'm exhausted today."

Christina remained silent. Christina pushed her suitcase into the walk-in closet and hung up the clothes inside.

She didn't bring much, just three sets of clothes and a few medical books.

She quickly finished unpacking, and Paul had also finished his shower.

Paul said, "It's getting late, darling. You should shower too."

"Okay." Christina was also a bit tired today; she had assisted in three surgeries.

When she came out after her shower, Paul was already asleep. Christina quickly got into bed and turned off the bedside lamp.

The feeling of having someone next to her was strange. She wasn't used to it and couldn't fall asleep.

She turned over a few times, and suddenly a hand reached over and held her waist.

Paul's husky and soft voice came through. "If you keep moving, I won't be able to hold back."

"What?" Christina didn't understand.

The current position was uncomfortable, and her arm was getting sore, so she moved to find a more comfortable position to sleep in.

As soon as she moved, Paul pulled her over and pressed her down.

"Christina." Paul looked down at her, his eyes burning with desire. He said irritably, "You keep moving. I'm not without desires. I can't hold back."

Christina understood. Her face turned red embarrassedly, and his irritable tone made her temper flare up too.

Christina retorted, "Did I ask you to hold back?"

Paul, angry, lowered his head and kissed her hard on the mouth.

Paul said, "You said it. Now I'm moving."

"Don't chicken out. Chickening out is for cowards…" Before Christina could finish her sentence, her mouth was covered.

The temperature in the room began to rise. After an unknown amount of time, Paul's voice became even deeper and more magnetic.

"Christina."

"What?"

"The process wasn't good that day. Tonight, let's enjoy ourselves."

"Okay."

That day, both Christina and Paul had been drinking, and it was their first time. The process was indeed unforgettable in a way that was hard to describe.

The consequence of enjoying themselves was that when Christina woke up, it was already 9:30 a.m., and Paul had long since gotten up and gone to work, full of energy.

Christina looked at the messy bed and couldn't bear to look directly at it. They had been too indulgent.

Since it was already late, Christina decided to take a bath and relax and then went to the hospital.

Luckily, this wasn't in the States. Otherwise, with her current work attitude, she would definitely be criticized by the hospital.

"Mrs. Watson." As Christina hurried out the door, the housekeeper caught up to her and handed her a thermal lunchbox.

"Mr. Watson asked me to prepare lunch for you. This lunchbox can keep food warm for eight hours. You don't need to heat it up; you can eat hot food as soon as you open it." The housekeeper said.

She had just had breakfast, and it seemed like it was almost time for lunch again.

She originally didn't plan to eat lunch, but since Paul had the housekeeper prepare it, she didn't want to refuse and took the thermal lunchbox.

"Thank you." She replied.

When Christina arrived at the hospital, Elowen came over with a teasing expression.

Elowen asked, "Did you do something naughty with your husband last night?"

Christina's face turned red instantly. She lowered her head and said nothing.

Elowen continued, "Don't worry, Knox didn't say anything, but we're going to be very busy next."

Christina replied, "Okay."

Today was the last day of Paul's bet with the Thomas Group.

Early in the morning, everyone was thinking about today's big event.

Paul had slept in at home and came to the company leisurely.

When everyone saw Paul alone, they had a look of "I knew it" on their faces.

Paul had never done anything serious. How could he possibly have recruited those technical talents?

"Mr. Watson, where are your talents?" Holden walked over with a smile.

Paul stopped, smiling, but his eyes were cold.

"What's the rush? There's still an hour before the meeting."

"Mr. Watson, did you really bring technical talents to the company?"

"You'll find out then."

"Then I'll wait for your good news, Mr. Watson."

Holden's squinted eyes were full of contempt.

As Paul walked past him, he stepped hard on Holden's foot.

Holden cried out in pain.

Paul said in a panic, "Sorry, I didn't mean to."

Holden was in so much pain that he was sweating. If Paul had stepped any harder, he could have broken a bone.

At this moment, Preston walked over, followed by two secretaries.

"What are you doing standing here?" he asked in a deep voice.

Holden put away his pained expression and forced a smile. "Mr. Watson just stepped on my foot. It's no big deal."

Holden had completely different attitudes towards Paul and Preston.

Preston glanced at Paul indifferently. He walked past him with his people, mocking him in a voice only Paul could hear.

Paul put his hands in his pockets and smirked coldly.

An hour later, the work report meeting began, and all the company's senior staff had to attend.

Joseph looked at the time. The meeting had already started, but Paul hadn't arrived yet.

Preston had a faint smile on his lips, playing idly with a pen in his hand.

"Mr. Thomas, is Mr. Watson not coming?" someone broke the silence.

That person originally wanted to say that Paul didn't dare to come, but since Paul was Joseph's son, he changed his wording.

Everyone present had a look of anticipation, as if they were watching a show.

In their eyes, Paul's delay in appearing meant he was backing down and would definitely lose the bet.

Joseph's face darkened slightly. This was Paul's own choice, so he couldn't blame anyone else!

Before he could say anything, Paul's voice came from outside. "Sorry, I just went to the restroom and was late." Paul walked in energetically, followed by several bodyguards in uniform.

Joseph's face darkened. "Why did you bring so many people to the meeting?"

Anyone who didn't know might think he was here to start a fight.
