CHAPTER EIGHTY SIX

I froze as soon as I registered Hans's voice. Isla was a wolf, and that too a yellow moon wolf, she was a rogue.
That was not good at all. If the yellow moon wolves had Lexi, there would be no end to all the evil they would do to her. If I ever found her, she would be lucky to still be alive.
I mind-linked Mina immediately because I was about to explode and sink my claws into Isla's neck and rip her head from her body. I had to look down and ball my hands into fists because I knew that my eyes were already changing color.
I could feel Hans, he was already close to the surface.
"Cool down, let me handle it." She mind linked me back.
I did not know how she expected me to cool down, but I knew that she was right, killing Isla would not bring Lexi back to me, and it would not help me find her.
But it was tempting, every minute that passed, I felt like snapping her in half like a dry twig.
There was an issue though, I should have been able to sense her wolf hours ago or even immediately when I first met her. I should have been able to tell that she was a rogue, Hans should have sensed it.
It didn't make any sense to me, and I smelled witchcraft. I wished Reyah was around, she would have been able to make better sense of the situation, and I bet she would know where Lexi was immediately.
"She called me saying that she was coming, and then I waited for her, she didn't come, so I guessed she was preoccupied with that boyfriend of hers. Have you asked him? She calls him Ace or something like that," Isla said.
"It's Axle," I snapped, I was already losing my patience.
"Patience." Mina reminded me, and I ignored her.
Patience was not bringing out any results right now.
"So you're her boyfriend, you better not be the reason why she's missing right now, I hope you didn't hurt her." Isla eyed me warily.
I felt like knocking her out with a blow to her skull, she was testing my patience and annoying me. My patience was wearing thin as the moments passed without my mate by my side.
I swore never to let her out of my sight once we found her.
"I would never hurt her." I narrowed my eyes at Isla.
Annoying btch.
"So she never made it here, where could she be?" Lex asked Isla worriedly.
"Do you know anywhere else she might have gone to?" Mina asked Lex, trying to comfort him.
"I don't know, she was not very popular here. The only friend I know that she visits is Isla, and if she's not here then—" His voice broke, and his eyes filled with tears.
"We need to find her, give me a second." Isla rushed into the house and slammed the door in our faces.
"We have to find her, Lex. Are you sure you have no idea where she could be?" I asked, "Soon it would be sundown, and we would have to sneak back into the school's line for attendance before we moved to our rooms."
I couldn't believe that Lexi was missing.
I was trying really hard not to break down, and my heart was bleeding.
The door burst open again, and a fairly recognizable Isla walked out of the door, she had packed her flowing red hair up in a bun, and she had scrubbed her face clean of makeup, save a lip gloss. She had also ditched the skimpy clothes for more comfortable ones, and now she was wearing cutoff jeans and a long t-shirt.
The four of us left her house, and we went in search of Lexi.

"We don't have much time, we have to send her back before they start looking for her," Asmi said, walking into the basement.
I was very proud of my mate, he had brought me the girl. She was currently unconscious and strapped to a chair. I had been staring at her for a while, trying to figure her out.
She was supposed to be an all-powerful witch with a great power that nearly equaled that of the moon goddess, but all I could see was a weak teenager knocked out on a chair.
I wanted to meet her because I wanted to see what the fuss was about. The witch that I had tortured, who had revealed the prophecy to me, must have exaggerated because she said she held the power to correct the world in her hands, like she could literally remold the world.
"Did you hear a word I said?" Asmi asked, and I was brought out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, I was just thinking," I replied to him.
He was right though, Axle would probably already be looking for her, and I didn't want to start a war yet, it was not yet time. I needed to find a mole to infiltrate the Blue Moon pack first to study them and report to me so I could know their weaknesses and use them against them.
'What are we going to do about the Isla situation?' I asked him, she had seen Isla, meaning she probably would not believe her friend anymore and she probably would not want to have anything to do with her again, meaning Isla would be of no use to me.
"She knows that Isla was possessed, we can only hope that she values her friendship enough to overlook that detail and she's paranoid enough to think that it was all her fault." He answered.
"Okay, what did you do to her?"
"I tried to get answers from her subconsciously, but she's developed her mind so it's repelling my attacks, I could only get a little information from her. Right now she's in a false sleep. I put a tracking spell on her so we can harness that, but I don't think it would hold for long. We can use it to spy on the blue moon pack while it lasts, though."
"That's all we need." I smiled and pulled him closer to me for a kiss.
He never disappoints me.
I signaled to the guards and ordered them to help me dump her at the beach. When she wakes up, she'll probably think she took a nap at the beach before her entire memory comes back, and if she's as paranoid as Asmi thinks she is, then she'll keep this encounter a secret to avoid worrying her friends and family.
Weak emotional people, you could always trust them to keep secrets.
