CHAPTER EIGHTY SEVEN
{Lexi}
I blacked out, I know I did, but then I was not totally unconscious, it was like I traveled from my body into my mind.
It was very bright inside, so I did not feel much fear. I walked around the empty bright room for a while before I noticed a black door appear out of nowhere.
The black door was vibrating, and it felt like something or someone on the other side was trying to pry the door open.
I immediately ran to the door and pushed it close with all my might as it began to open. I struggled for a while before I finally shut it close, then the scene changed.
I was back in my body, but I was still unconscious. I couldn't move a muscle, but I was beginning to hear sounds around me.
I was surprised because instead of hearing frightening sounds, I was hearing soothing sounds, like the sound of the ocean, but that was not possible because I was nowhere near the beach.
"Hey, get up. You've been asleep for hours, you're already getting sunburned. You need to reapply your sunscreen." A voice called out.
I opened my eyes slowly and shut them immediately the bright light of day penetrated through my eyes.
I looked around me, and behold, I was at the beach, lying on a beach towel and in my bathing suit.
How was that possible?
The last thing I remembered was being at Isla's place.
Oh sht Isla.
I wondered what the witch that had possessed her did to her. I felt really guilty that I had put my friend in danger. I could not believe that a witch had possessed her just to get to me.
Now, what had the witch done to me?
I did not recollect anything else, so I was unsure of what the witch had done to me. I had not even seen the face of the person, I did not even know if the person was male or female.
I began to look around at the familiar site before me. I was raised here anyway, so I knew that I was at Colonial Beach, but the beach was over an hour away from Isla's. That could only mean one thing, whoever that witch was had been stalking me since I arrived in town.
If they had possessed Isla, then what would they have done to Alex, Mina, or even Axle? I bolted up immediately, wincing slightly as my skin felt sore. I looked at my wrists, and my heart sank instantly; they were red and sore, like I had been bound by a rope.
"Lexi, Lexi, Oh, Lexi. "I heard about four different voices.
I smiled instantly, relieved because I recognized two of those voices to be both Axle's and Lex's.
Four people rushed up to me, and they engulfed me in a huge group hug.
"Where were you? I thought something had happened to you, I was so scared. I thought I had lost you. Why didn't you answer yourphone?,Whyy didn't you come to my houseagain?"" They bombarded me with questions, but one stood out.
Why didn't you come to my house again?
It was Isla, Ifroze,e and I detangled myself from the group. I had not realized that she was among the group before.
I stared at her with cold eyes because I was unsure of how to approach her, I didn't know if she was stillpossessed orr if she could still be possessed.
"Guys, give her some breathing space." It was Axle who spoke up this time, he must've noticed my expression.
Lex hugged me and whispered that I would have to tell him everything that happenedlater,r and I nodded my head. Mina hugged me and followed him. Isla must have known that I was feeling some type of way about her, because she just squeezed my hand softly and left.
"Want to tell me what happened?" Axle asked as soon as we were alone.
I didn't know if that was a good idea, but I also didn't want any secrets between us.
"I was attacked," I told him the truth and watched his expression blacken, he was pissed and sad at the same time.
"Who the fck do I need to murdertonight?"" He growled out.
"It was awitch., I was at Isla'shouse,e and then Isla was possessed all of asudden,n and then I blacked out and woke up here at the beach," I explained.
"I'm so sorry, I wish I had been there to protect you. I'll make sure that whoever that was pays for what they did to you." He said and hugged me closer to him.
He did not sound the least bit amazed, he only seemed relieved to have found me.
"You have to stay away from Isla, she's not who you think she is." He said, and I frowned.
Nothing was wrong with my best friend, I was the one who had the issues, and all that happened was my fault, but I didn't mention that to him because I didn't want to argue with him.
"I'm glad that I've found you, I nearly ran mad with worry, I couldn't sleep a wink." He said.
"Wait... what day is today?" I asked. There was no way, I couldn't have been gone that long.
"Today is Friday," he replied, and I was shocked.
I had been missing for two days, who knows if my mother had heard of itord what about my attendance inschool?.
"Don't worry, we didn't inform anyone, and we told the teachers that your allergy was acting up and you had to stay inside your room all day.
Nice cover.
I was glad that not many people had worried so much over me, the story about the allergy would be believable because I was sure that my skin was looking terrible right now, I was even feeling itchy.
Especially somewhere between my ear and my neck.
It felt especially itchy.
