Chapter 92 092
Brian's POV
I'm not going to give up just because he did this to me. It doesn't mean Amelia is going to love him anyway. He's a brute and doesn't deserve her. I already have my own plans, and I just need to work hard before screwing him over. It won't be easy for him to mess with me anymore. It would only be a matter of time.
My father came into the room to look at me. My injuries were a little bit severe that I had a hard time healing up myself. I had to stay at home because I didn't want people to find out about what happened to me. It's a bit embarrassing, but I will make Damien pay for all of this in the future.
“Are you going to give up now that you've gotten yourself almost killed because of her? I told you already not to go there, but you wouldn't listen to me,” he said, glaring at me.
“You don't understand that this is for the greater good. She was originally supposed to be mine. I am her true mate, not him. I have to take her away from him. She's mine!” I replied to him.
He shook his head. “You're supposed to be preparing to be the leader of this pack to help us to greater heights. I was trying to establish a cooperation with him thanks to Amelia's involvement with him, and now you want to ruin everything?”
“I told you not to get involved with him. Don’t you think it's a little bit humiliating for us to want his cooperation?” I fired at him.
He slapped me hard across the face. “I'm telling you right now, you shouldn't ruin everything that I've worked for all these years. You should find a way to apologize to him.”
“What?” I looked at him in disbelief. “You want me to apologize to him? I'm never going to do that! That is trampling on my dignity.”
I felt so hateful just listening to my father talk to me like this. It has always been like this. He had high expectations for me right from the beginning, and he was the reason why I left Amelia in the first place. I wouldn't have left her or rejected her if it wasn't for him. He wanted me to go abroad in order to let me acquire more knowledge and power, but in disguise, it was just a plan for him to get more allies around the world.
I have always been a piece in his game that always had to obey and abide by his rules. I was tired of everything, and I had to move back home. I thought things would be easier. Who would have thought that Amelia would get involved with Damien?
If it wasn't for him, Amelia wouldn't have left me. I have to take her back no matter what. Since I came back this time around, I already have my own plans and I'm going to indeed become the leader of the entire werewolf clans altogether.
“You have no right to disobey me! You will go and apologize to him, or you should ever forget about being the Alpha of this pack!” he growled at me.
“I don't care, Dad! I'm not going to apologize to him, but instead I'm going to crush him. I will ruin his life and prove to you that I will become the king of everyone!” I fired back at him and walked out of the room.
I went out of the house, refusing to talk to anyone, including my sister who was coming towards me. I ignored her. She was married to Amelia's brother, and I felt so jealous seeing how she was able to get the one she wanted easily, and I was actually pressured to do everything my entire life.
I got a message on my phone from a particular number and I immediately headed to the area where we were supposed to meet. When I got there, he was still sitting there looking all mysterious. I didn't know who he was, but he expected me out with all the things that I needed.
“I thought we agreed not to meet until next month. Why are we suddenly meeting like this?” I asked him.
“Some people were killed in the Flaming Moon Pack, and they were delivered to Damien. Don't you understand why I'm here already?” he asked me.
I shrugged. “I don't have anything to do with this. Maybe he has some other enemies who are against him.”
He didn't seem to believe me, and it was true that I didn't have something to do with this. I just wanted to warn him and make him understand that not everything is under his control. I never thought those people would be killed, and their death has nothing to do with me.
“Even if you don't believe me, I'm telling you the truth. I did kidnap those people and they were missing for a while, but I asked to release them,” I told him.
He moved his head closer to me. Though I couldn't see his face, I felt a strange aura that brought fear around me.
“That was where you made the mistake. What you did was very stupid. They would still want them to leave alive and tell Damien about everything?”
I frowned. “Wait… you are the one who had them killed, and you're actually trying to blame this on me?”
“If you hadn't made me kidnap them, I wouldn't have to kill them to cover up for you! Don't you understand what you did? Damien is looking into everything. All our plans will be ruined because of you!” he snapped at me.
I was startled for a moment at his tone. He was the one who approached me in the first place telling me about Damien's origin. The only reason I had a deal with him was to get Amelia. I want nothing else. I don't care if Damien dies or not.
I wanted to become the man that Amelia deserved in order to repay her for everything that I did to her all these years. But I also needed to get her entanglement with Damien over with so that I can be with her openly with no one to oppose us. By the time I have enough power to oppose my father, he won't be saying anything about us anymore.
“Why aren't you saying anything? Don't you think you should apologize for what you did? Damien is very powerful and he's not easy to mess with. I planned all of this for years only for you to almost ruin it?”
“He refused to let me see Amelia and he did all of this to me!” I showed him my injuries. “Don't you think I deserve to pay him back for what he did?” I snapped back at him.
“Do you realize what you're saying? If you're no longer interested in my offer, I'm going to get someone else to do it,” he said, standing up.
I shook my head. “No, that's not what I mean. I apologize for what I did, okay? It won't happen again. I'll be very careful this time around.”
He sat down again. “This period is very crucial to our plans. We need to take down Damien if we want the entire world to be in our hands.”
I had some questions I wanted to ask him. Even though I agreed that I would have Amelia to myself, finding out from him that she was already pregnant made me mad. Thanks to what he said, we only needed to use that child of hers, and once the child is away from her, we would use its power to boost ourselves. And I can have Amelia back. By that time, you will be able to get rid of Damien and I will have more power over everyone.
“Would doing this not hurt Amelia at all? Are you sure she's going to be mine if we take the child away from her?” I asked him.
“This is why we want to take her away from Damien. We need to separate them. If they are not together, she would forget him in no time. We have enough things to make her completely forget him and only remember you,” he told me.
“Then what's the next plan? We need to get her away from him as soon as possible.”
“Don't worry. I already used your stupid plans to my advantage,” he said. “I made sure I sent a message to the Flaming Moon Pack enough for everyone to see it.”
I was confused and wondered what kind of message he might have put down for those people that will make Amelia be in our hands.
“If you're wondering what kind of message it is, you don't have to wonder. You'll find out soon enough. I'm going to leave now, but I'm warning you not to make rash decisions again.”
With that said, he left before I could see him again. I took a deep breath and decided to leave. After having that argument with my father, I still had to pretend for now. But I'm not going to apologize to Damien, and I will crush him completely below my feet and take Amelia away from him.
