Damien's POV
"Who are you? Show yourselves right now if you're not cowards!" She shouted as she was dragged to my study and left on the ground.
Lucas looked at me not knowing what to say since I already asked him to bring her. Of course I was going to take responsibility for whatever happened after. I only wanted to know where Amelia went. Her best friend would be the best person to ask because they are very close and there's no way Amelia wouldn't have told her where she was going. Since she's having crises with her family, she must have told someone, at least us. This friend of hers might have planned everything for her.
I gestured Lucas to open the cover used on her face, and she opened her eyes to look at me.
"Who the hell would—"
She was shocked for a moment and didn't know what to say, but then I saw her regaining composure. Probably she wanted to confront me.
"What the hell do you want from me, Alpha Damien? Is it legal for you to kidnap people as you like now?" She fired at me.
"I'm not kidnapping you, I'm just inviting you for a talk."
She scoffed. "You're inviting me and you had your beta drag me all the way here. It's not even being dragged alone, I was kidnapped and handled roughly, yet you say you want to talk to me?"
I gave Lucas an angry look, then looked back at her. I wanted to say something out of anger, but I had to control myself. She was the only person who could help me after all.
"I'm sorry about how he treated you. I'll make sure he gets his punishment. Lucas, help her sit down."
"Yes, Alpha." Lucas said and wanted to touch her, but she slapped Lucas immediately.
"Don't touch me! You bastard. You think I'm afraid of you? What the hell do you want from me? Amelia is not here anymore and you want me to replace her? You think I care about a devil like you?" She snapped at me.
I shook my head with a forced smile. "That's not exactly what I'm trying to do. I just want to know where she went. Which is the reason why I invited you here today."
"Well, you didn't exactly invite me. You kidnapped me. And for you to ask me this, I'm not telling you anything. You and I have nothing to talk about. Besides, her parents can't even find her. You think I know where she is?"
Even though she was very angry talking to me, I could see that she was directly avoiding my gaze, which meant something. She knew where Amelia went and thus doesn't want to tell me. Could it be that Amelia's disappearance has something to do with what she saw that day?
"Listen, I'm not going to force you to say things to me, but you know I'm not a patient man. I don't really care what other people think, as long as I can have Amelia. Which means, if you don't cooperate with me and I do something that I don't like."
"Then do it. You're just a coward who scares women whenever he likes. You think I'm going to be scared of you?"
Lucas immediately covered her mouth, trying to stop her from saying more. If she gets me triggered, I don't know what is going to happen either. But right now, I feel very calm knowing that the answer is with her.
"Do you know how I can make you talk?" I asked, getting up.
She still had the look of arrogance, looking at me like she wasn't scared of me, but I knew that she was freaking out deep inside. Why? I know that because I have the ability to read people easily. That's one of the perks of being a Lycan.
"I know a lot of things about you that I shouldn't know. You already know what my reputation is and I don't really care about keeping any reputation."
"Since you don't want to do what I want, I don't mind looking more into your family."
"Are you threatening me? You want to know where she is, yet you're threatening me like this. She already told me not to tell anyone, even if I know I'm not going to tell you."
"Even if it costs you your entire family's life?"
She shrugged. "You can't really do anything to my family. You think we're all pushovers?"
I nodded, clapping for her. "Of course, you're not pushovers. But your alpha will make you talk if I ask him to. Should I involve him in this? I don't mind taking over your pack and teaching you a lesson if I have to. Amelia is going to be mine anyway, no matter what you do."
She moved closer to me and looked at me with contempt in her eyes. But I don't really care. All I want to do now is to see Amelia.
"Do you deserve to see her? Do you have any idea why she left in the first place? It's because of you, bastard."
"Is it because of what happened the last time? She wouldn't give me a chance to explain things to her and I was waiting for her to calm down so that I can explain it's all a misunderstanding." I quickly told her.
She frowned. "What misunderstanding? You were with another woman and she clearly caught you. You're saying it's a misunderstanding. What more story is there to it?"
Am I going to explain things to her? Looking at her, she's not going to believe me and she's not going to tell Amelia my intentions either. It's better to see Amelia and explain things to her. I have to bring her back.
She shook her head, "you don't even know how you're going to explain things to her. And I think it's better you don't even go there. You're only going to make the situation worse."
Maybe she was telling the truth but I just couldn't shake off the fact that she might need me right now. It just feels like I need to see her. It's been weeks and I feel like I'm going crazy.
"Are you willing to tell me where your friend is?" I asked her again.
"You threatened me with my family, I don't think I'm going to tell you anyway because how am I sure you're not going to hurt my family?"
Even if I have a malicious reputation out there, everyone knows I always keep my promise which is why no one wants to mess with me.
I sighed, looking at Lucas for some help. The only thing he has done since he brought her was to cover her mouth to stop her from insulting me. He's not even helping me out, how does he expect to be at rest if I'm not?
"Apologize for being rude in I promise I won't do anything to your family as long as you tell me where she is. I always keep my promises." I told her desperately.
She thought for a long time before finally deciding to speak up about it.
"Well... I don't know her exact address because we haven't had a decent conversation since she left I can only give you the pack name and you can find for yourself." She said.
She gestured towards Lucas and Lucas immediately went to get a paper and pen to know the address. After she told Lucas, I give Lucas the signal to send her back home.
"Before I leave, I'm going to warn you not to bother her even if she doesn't forgive you because you're still entangled with your ex and she doesn't want to be in that drama." She told me.
I wanted to reply her but she didn't let me finish before saying something else that completely blew my mind.
"I know you are very powerful and you would scare the poor people in that pack. You have to keep everything low key and make sure you don't make them regret helping her or more stress her. You can't put her and the baby in danger—"
She froze the moment he said that and her eyes widened. I'm very sure I had this correctly and I looked at Lucas for confirmation. I also heard what she said which meant I wasn't going crazy.
"What did you just say? A baby? She's carrying a baby?"
