Chapter 47 047
Damien's POV
After multiple intense sessions with her, I pulled her in again for a passionate kiss. My hand roamed through her body, and the other grabbing her neck to feel her closer. She moaned in between the kiss and it always made it hard for me to control myself.
But she suddenly pulled away, "I... I can't take it anymore Damien. That's enough, are you trying to break me apart?"
I smirked, she knew my intentions already. She looked indeed worn out so I didn't want to push her any further. There's plenty of time for us to do this anyway.
"Alright, I'll stop here." I kissed her passionately again, breathing heavily. "But it won't be so easy next time."
"There won't be a next time." She muttered under her breath but I heard it.
I didn't get angry because I know she was joking. If she wasn't, was she planning to do it with me next time, or was she planning to get another man? It's not going to be that easy to get rid of me. Right now, she's still angry, so I'm going to take it that she said all of this because of her anger.
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that," I said, getting up from the bed.
She covered herself with the sheets like she was shy, when she was so proactive earlier with me. I found it funny and cute.
"W-What are you looking at, you pervert?" she fired at me again.
I smirked at her, then moved closer to her side of the bed. After wearing my underwear, she still looked at me in shock, anticipating what I wanted to do. I pulled off the sheets, and she shouted.
"Damien! Don't you dare think of doing anything! I already told you that I'm tired. What is wrong with you? Are you a machine or what?"
I shook my head and carried her. "I'm only taking you to the bathroom so that you can take a shower. What are you thinking about? Do you always have me on your mind, or was it not enough and you want more?"
"W-What are you talking about? You're the one who keeps getting weird ideas! Why are you making it seem like I'm the one who is always thirsty?" she protested.
"If you don't stop complaining, I'm going to—"
"No!" she cut me off. "Just drop me off at the bathroom. I don't need your help taking a shower."
I didn't say anything because it was useless again with her. I carried her into the bathtub in the large bathroom. She immediately covered herself, as if I haven't seen anything from her body. I prepared the bath for her before leaving the bathroom.
I waited for her to be done while I attended to other things. Lucas came into the room, looking uncomfortable with the fact that our clothes were lying everywhere on the floor.
"Why do you look like you've seen a ghost? Do you have any reports?" I asked him.
He nodded. "Yes, Alpha. You won't believe that the elders are calling for an emergency meeting because some people are opposing the fact that you want to make her your Luna."
"What?"
"It's true, Alpha. I tried to talk to some of them and told them you were busy, but they insisted on having the meeting with you. They said they didn't want someone from nowhere to be the Luna, especially if she was rumored to have no wolf."
"They dare to oppose me? I see where this is going."
I should have known they were traitors and they would do this at any time. This is something I've been trying to hold back for the past few years. These elders think they can make decisions for me. They don't even regard me as their leader at all, because why else would they want to control me at every turn?
“They’re just using this as an excuse to bring her down. I should attend to them to see what they want.” I said. “You can ask everyone to wait for me. I will be there soon.”
“Yes, Alpha. I'll take care of it immediately.l He replied and left.
I looked towards the direction of the bathroom. She was still there having a good time and doesn't know what is going on. She's already opposing knowing me enough. If she hears about it, it would be a good reason for her not to want me. I'm not going to let that happen.
"What are you thinking about?" I heard her voice, breaking into my thoughts.
She finally came out of the bathroom I thought she wouldn't want to come out of there because I was still out here. She was wearing a towel that showed the figure of her body so well.
"Nothing special." I replied, standing up. "I'm going to have Lucas take you home. Let's talk later."
She frowned like she wasn't expecting me to say that. Then she started to look at me in a weird way—the way one is looked at when they are losing their minds.
"What's going on in your head today? You're really going to let me go?" she asked, confused.
I smirked, pulling her by her waist closer to me. "Are you that reluctant to let me go? If you don't want to leave, you can stay. I just thought you might want to go home now to settle some things, and then we can talk about you being a Lycan later."
She scoffed. "I'm just going to be scolded and nothing more. It's not as if they'll kill me anyway. They've not been happy since I got my wolf. What else can I expect?"
They were not happy that she got her wolf? She's supposed to be a Lycan. This should be an honor to them. But why are they treating her like she doesn't deserve it? She didn't have a wolf for a long time and suffered because of it. It's still part of the reason why these elders don't want her around me, and it's the reason why she never discovered that I was her mate earlier on.
"Have you asked them why they were angry that you got your wolf? You can't talk to everyone else—why don't you ask your brother? Or do they have anything to do with the fact that you didn't have your wolf before?"
She nodded. "Most probably they did. But... why the hell am I telling you this?"
She didn't look happy about it. It was enough that she's been remarked for a long time for not having a wolf. As if she's blaming herself for awakening her wolf. What exactly does she need to do to satisfy everyone?
I hugged her. She gasped but didn't push me away.
"W-what are you doing?"
"You did a good job awakening your wolf. You should not blame yourself for anything. It's never your fault that you can't satisfy what everyone wants from you. I'm proud of you," I told her.
But she suddenly pushed me away, looking very angry. "You're proud of me? Since when?"
"Since when did you become proud of me? Was it at the moment you found out that I was a Lycan just like you and I was finally worthy of being at your side? Don't be ridiculous."
"Amelia, I can explain things to you. Everything is not the way you are seeing it."
"I don't need your explanation. All I needed to know was the fact that you looked down on me. And now that you think I'm at a good level enough, you finally feel proud of me."
"Amelia—" I tried to talk to her, but she wasn't listening to me at all.
"You're not going to turn me against my family. They still care about me most in the world, and even if they don't, I will never turn against them for someone like you," she snapped and left to get her clothes.
I watched her without saying anything because everything she said was right. Even if I had my own reasons for treating her like that, I shouldn't have approached her that way. Now she hates me and wants to leave me. Of course, I won't let that happen, but I can't stand her hating me like this.
I did everything I could to keep her by my side—even insulting her integrity, which was the most painful thing for her. In any case, it's going to take me time to win her affection. No matter what she does, I won't get angry because I need her.
"I'm going to take my leave now. I hope we don't have to meet each other again in the future. I really don't want to marry you. If you have some shame and dignity left, you should leave me alone," she said to me.
Her words are hurtful, but they are the bitter truth. The truth that I would never accept.
"Also," she turned around as she was at the door, "I think we should break the mating bond. I won't bother you since you're busy now, but let's do that if we are ever going to meet again the next time."
I scoffed. "How possible do you think that is?"
She didn't say anything else and turned around to leave. It was hard enough for me to hold in all of my emotions and anger. She sure knows how to get to me.
"You can never leave me. Even in death, Amelia. If I have to turn the whole world upside down, I will do that to have you."
