Epilogue (Part 1)

Haula's POV:

"Yes. Yes. I'll marry you." I tell him as he slips the diamond ring on my finger. Everyone claps as their phones are all in their hand recording.

Theo stands up after putting the ring as he comes in kissing me. I kiss him back with all the love I have as we pull apart, and I stare into his blue orbs.

"I love you." I tell him as I lean in, kissing him again as his hands grabs my waist tight and his neck wrapped in my hands.

"I love you more." He tells me as we pull apart. He turns us around slipping one hand, holding my waist pulling me closer to him as I look around the cheering crowd and hear a lot of congratulations coming from everyone one.

I look around smiling at everyone as I told tell thank you. I feel so happy as I turn to look at Theo who is indeed smiling and I swear I've never seen him this happy.

"Congratulations!" I hear from behind me making me turn as I stare at my Mom, Lisa and Maggie in shock.

"Wh...how…you!" I turn to Theo and then to them and back to Theo again before turning back to them. "What are you guys doing here?" I run in to hug all of them.

"How are you guys here?" I smile happily wondering how they were all here. "And you, how are you here? I've been calling you," I face Margret.

"Well Theo here told me about his little plan," Mom starts first. "and Lisa here was with me, she helped him out in planning all this," She continues turning to Lisa and a huge smile plastered on her face.

"And then Maggie here, I told her about it because I knew you would be so happy if you saw her here and I thought it was a good opportunity for her to meet him." Mom explains as she gestures to Theo who comes behind me wrapping an arm around my waist.

"Oh my God, you guys, just come here." I pull them all into a hug. "God I'm so happy you guys are all here, I'm going to cry." I tell them. I'm so happy I feel like the happiest woman in the world right now.

Having the man you love propose to you in the way you've only dreamed of and your family here with you. This is the best feeling.

"Congratulations baby," Mom say.

"Thank you so much mom, I'm so happy you're here. You're going to explain in details to me about everything when we get home." I tell her and she nods smiling at me then hugging me again. She leaves my side as she goes to join Theo who had left to talk with Lisa.

"Maggie," I drag her hugging her.

"You... You're.. You're choking me," she struggles. "I don't care." I say releasing her as she chuckles.

"Congratulations Haula, I'm so happy for you. And I got to meet Mr. soldier, by the way I give you 100% in getting him." She starts to blab.

"Thank you, do you know how happy I am being here and you guys here with me? Do you know I didn't even know he was thinking of proposing, I didn't know anything, but right now I'm just too happy."I tell her as we hold hands.

"You deserve it. I'm also very happy for you." She squeezes my fingers. "Wait so that's why you didn't pick my call?" I ask her.

"Technically yes. I knew If I spoke to you then you'll find out I was hiding something, while I was meeting up with them." She explains.

"Well I'm happy you didn't pick," I smile like a baby as we hug again.

"I can't believe you're going to get married, let me see." She drags my hand for her to see the ring. "It’s so pretty." she says.

I hadn't really had the time to look at the ring, but seeing it now even looks more beautiful. It has a diamond crystal shape embedded on the outer part and I've never seen a ring so pretty before.

"Not really, I'm going to be done withuniversity first, now we're engaged." I tell her. ENGAGED oh God that's sound so good to hear. I can't believe I'm engaged to Theo.

"You're still getting married," She giggles as she runs her feet like a child. "Yes I am. So how's Mr. cute?" I ask her and she blushes.

"He doing perfect, we're going out today." She says blushing. "And we um... We kind of kissed," Maggie says shyly.

"Kind of or did?" I ask her smiling.

"Did," She answers and I almost screamed in happiness as I cover my mouth, but not before Theo sees me and gives me a smile. I mutter an 'I'll be there soon before looking back andto Maggie.

"That's great Maggie I'm so happy." I squeal. "So anything new again that I need to know?" I ask her. Knowing Maggie that can't be all.

"Nope," She says dragging the p. I knew it. "Liar," I say as she chuckles.

"Well, he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes." Maggie giggles. "That's my gurl," I give her a hi five and we both laugh.

"Let's go and join them." Maggie says as we head to Theo's place.

We get there as I stay beside Theo and Maggie stays beside my Mom. Theo faces me as we stare at each other in our own little moment.

"Have I told you how beautiful that ring looks on you?" He whispers in my ear as he slips an arm around my waist.

"No," I blush.

"Well it does." He whispers as his grip became tighter and I can feel my cheeks heating up. I smile at him letting him know I appreciate it.

"Lisa thank you very much, I really appreciate it." I realize I haven't talked to her or thanked her ever since and looking at all these she was a big part of it.

"No worries, I couldn't let this boy do it all himself, he'll mess it all up and we don't want that." She says giving me a bright smile as we all laugh.

Time goes by as we all talk, eat more and laugh having a wonderful engagement party as mom would call it.

Time has gone by the time we Were all done, as Maggie and my mom leaves, leaving Theo, I and Lisa.

Lisa tells me about all Theo's embarrassing moments and how she calls him doggie cause of his loyalty.

That I will agree too.

"Okay so I better get going, I'll see you another day Haula," Lisa stands up to get going. "Congratulations again you two," She greets us.

"Thank you." I stand up to hug her.

"Thanks Lisa," Theo says before she leaves. "We're finally alone" Theo breathes out.

"Don't tell me you weren't enjoying their company?" I ask facing him.

"I was, but at some point I just wanted them to leave the two of us alone to ourselves." His hand caressed my arm.

"And why is that?" I tease him.

"So I could do this," He leans in closer as he cups my face In his hands while we kiss. "Let's get out of here," Theo says after breaking away from the kiss.

I nod as he holds his hand out for me to take and I do, while he pulls me up and I take my purse in my other hand as we get into the car and start driving.

"Thank you for today. I still can't believe this happened," I smiled happily as I shove the ring in his face.

"No. Thank you for saying yes," He tells me.

"Did you think I was going to say no?" I ask him.

"Oh yes I was so scared you will, but I took the risk." He says.

"I'm happy you did. In some years we'll be Mr. and Mrs. McCall!" I pronounce as he laughs happily. This is all I ever wanted.

We continue to laugh and share moments as something comes to my mind.

"Have you thought of where we would live?" I ask him. I've been meaning to ask him but I keep forgetting. "I mean when we get married. Your job is in the U.S and I'm here,"

"Yes I have." He says stopping as we get to my house after going from one place to another in his suit and in my dress. "Since you're going to be done with college I was going to ask you if you would want to stay with me over there, we would come back here once in a while but you know I can't leave there permanently, my job is there." He says facing me.

I don't know how this is going to be, but right now this is the only explanation that makes sense. Theo can't leave his job to come here and since I'll be done with college in a few years we could stay over there and build a home together.

"Yeah I guess that's the only way. I would love to go, it’s just about leaving my mom but either way I was going to leave her one day. I'd love to go with you." I tell him.

"Okay." He smiles at me hugely. "And you could practice over there or school further if you want," He tells me.

"Yeah that would be good," I reply. "I'll just tell my mom about it." I say while he nods.

"Do you have time next week?" He asks. "Yeah sure, where are we going" I ask.

"I want you to meet my parents," He says. Oh wow.

I haven't really thought about meeting Theo's parents. Sure I have imagined what they will be like, but talking about going to meet them makes me scared.

"Do you think they'll like me? I'm black after all." I say saddened.

"Hey, my parents as not racists okay? They won't judge you I promise and I'm sure they'll like you. They are really nice and outgoing," Theo reassures me.

"Okay then. " I agree and he smiles.

"Thank you." He replies. I check the time seeing its 11pm as time has gone so fast.

"I had a really nice time husband to be," I tell him.

"I did also, wife to be." He chuckles. We stared at each other as we both leaned it sealing the day with a goodbye kiss.

"I don't want you to drive late," I tell him as we pull away.

"I'll go soon." He leans in again as we share a passionate kiss this time. "Now I'll go." he replies.

I get down from the car as he drops down too and comes to my side. "Goodnight" I lean in hugging him tightly.

"Goodnight babe." He hugs me back before I leave.

And that is how I had the most amazing night of my life.
