Epilogue (Part 2)

THREE YEARS LATER…

Haula's POV:

"We could just run away and get married somewhere else without all these people here," I tell Theo.

"As tempting as that sounds but I want these people to see that I'm getting married to you and you alone. I want them to know you and that I'm proud to marry you, also your Mom would kill me when she finds out." Theo says as I laugh and sniff at the same time.

Today is our wedding and I keep panicking. I ran out of the house and called Theo to meet me early before the wedding. He keeps reassuring me that everything will be alright and I believe him. I can't believe I'm getting married today, after three years of being engaged to this wonderful man that has not even once disappointed me.

I got to meet Theo's parents and they were really sweet and nice like he said, they welcomed me with opened arms and was very happy when Theo told them I was his fiancée.

Theo's Mom has blue eyes like he does and is really pretty even though the wrinkles in her face starts to show, she still composed herself well. While his dad has grey orbs and is also looking composed. I also met with all of Theo's siblings as they welcomed me nicely.

Jasmine is also here as she came to meet my so called fiancée before the wedding and also attend the wedding before she gets back.

"I feel better now." I hug him. "I have to get going, Maggie won't stop calling me." Maggie won't calling and texting me for the past twenty minutes now, she says the hair stylist and makeup artist have arrived.

"I love you." He tells me.

"I love you too." I reply before leaving and going back home.

"Where have you been? your mom has been looking all over for you!" Maggie yells as I come back.

"I went to see Theo. Maggie I think I'm getting cold feet, I'm really scared that something might go wrong or that ma..." Margret cuts me off.

"Shut up and listen to me, You're going to get through this, Theo is out there dressing up waiting for you to see you In that beautiful dress walking down the aisle to meet him, so he could get married to you because he loves you, so just shut up and let's get you ready." Maggie instruct as I shut up and nod.

My mind wanders off to Theo as I imagine how wonderful he is going to look in that uniform. We decided to throw a military wedding since Theo was promoted as Major, and to hold something more military.

Actually it is my idea, because I want to do something for him to let him know I accept him in every way possible. He told me his team and some other soldiers are coming over for the wedding, as they were so happy their Captain who is now Major is getting married.

Just thinking about how handsome my husband to be is going to look makes me smile. I still remember how me met, our first kiss and what led to it, our fight and departure. All those was all to come to this moment.

Theo told me about Drew's death and I almost cried, I had promised him that we will see each other again but I guess fate had planned its own. I was really

down after hearing about his death.

I still remember our first kiss, as it stayed clearly in my mind like it was just yesterday. It was all because of Bella, he's ex-girlfriend.

He later on told me about her and how she broke his heart leaving him for another guy, after claiming that he is a soldier so she could not be with him, he told me how devastated he was after he found out but then he has moved on now and he's happier than he's ever been.

I don't know Bella and I don't want to, but what she did to Theo hurt him a lot and I'm not ready to let that go just yet.

"Finally you're back." Lisa comes rushing in. Lisa and Maggie are my bridesmaid and I decide not to choose anyone else than these wonderful people who stood by me.

"I'm sorry I left, cold feet." I tell her.

"Oh honey its natural okay, just don't run off again cause your Mom is gonna chop our heads off when she doesn't find you," Lisa says lightening the mood.

"Where is she now?" I ask.

"Well right now she's yelling at the decorators and I don't know why." Lisa laughs as we all do.

Mom has been over working herself ever since the preparations for the wedding, I told her to rest a bit and let me take care of things but she wouldn't accept, she says I'm the bride and I have to get everything close to perfect.

Oh in case you're wondering the wedding is here in Nigeria and after the reception Theo and I are going to go for our honeymoon and then going to the U.S permanently.

The hair stylist and make-up artist comes in immediately.

"Good morning," Loretta the make-up artist greets as I greet back and say hello to the hair stylist.

It didn't take much time as Nina starts my hair. My head starting to hurt due to all the sittings and staying in one position for so long. Finally they finished as I check myself out. It looks really good actually, no that not it, it is perfect.

Soon enough Loretta tells me to sit as she begins her wonders, and after hours of make-up we are finally done.

"Oh my God Haula you look beautiful!" Lisa screams as soon as she sees me.

"Really thank you?" I really did look beautiful and I knew it. Theo will be stunned when he sees me.

"I can't wait to see the look on Theo's face, he'll be speechless." Lisa giggles.

"I hope he is." I tell her picking my beige wedding dress from the bed. "Help me," I ask her as I put the dress on.

"He so is." She tells me zipping up the dress. Loretta and Nina are still in the room and they just keep laughing at Lisa and I, while they keep telling me how beautiful I look.

"Wow, you look like a queen, you make me want to get married" Lisa squeal as I

turn to them. The dress is a lace beige gown with patterns on it, well fitted that it hugs my curves perfectly.

"And you will, you just haven't found the right guy to catch your eye," I tell her.

"Yeah she hasn't, I still remember the time I got married it was just like yesterday. The vows we said to each other, everything was perfect and I wish that for you Haula" Loretta tells me. Loretta is married with a kid and she still looks like she's eighteen.

"Thank you Loretta." These few days I've mostly been saying thank you every time I'm always getting comments, because I don't know what else to say that will seem polite except from thank you.

"Haula," Mom comes in. "Oh my God you look so beautiful." she speaks as tears well up in her eye.

"Mommy thank you." I go to her cleaning the already dropped tear from her eye. Mom looks at me with so much adoration in her eyes and I can only tell how happy she is for me.

"Your father will be so proud of you, I am proud of you." Mom says as tears falls from her eye.

"I'm happy mom, please don't cry, you're gonna make me cry and you don't want that. So please don't cry and smile for me." I tell her wiping her tears.

"I won't anymore, you just look very beautiful it makes me remember my time with your father." Mom says as she sniffs.

Thinking of my dad makes me remember him all over again, I have been thinking about him lately, if he was here, he would walk me down the aisle but he isn't, so I have my uncle walk me.

"Mom I know he would be proud of the both of us, of the people we've become since he left." I tell her and she nods.

"Now let's get you ready, Theo is waiting already and the wedding is about to start." Mom says. My mom has called a lot of people and when I say lot I mean it, that's my mom she knows a lot of people. The number of people that are going to come will be huge.

I can't wait to see Theo, for him to see me, for us to get married.

I got ready as I picked my flower and left with my mom and Lisa. I couldn't see Maggie I don't know where she went.

"Mom where's Maggie?" I ask as I see her coming.

"Oh my God Haula you look so beautiful" Maggie tells me holding my hands. "Thank you" I smiled. "Where have you been" I asked.

"I had to get things ready before we go" she tells me.

Lisa and Maggie are really looking gorgeous in their blue high-low bridesmaid dress.

"You guys look so pretty" I tell them.

"Not like you" they both said together as we laughed and left for my wedding. My husband to be was waiting.

We got to the venue as the driver stopped and Maggie and Lisa came out. The flower girl sprayed flowers on the red carpet where the soldiers stood forming a sword cross as Lisa and Maggie walked after her.

I was surprised when I saw up to ten soldiers standing facing each other as they cross their sword making a pathway for me to walk in. Oh my God they did a sword crossing for me, I never knew happiness could be this much. Seeing them all in their uniforms as they formed a sword cross is indeed beautiful.

My uncle Joshua extended his hand as I took it and came out as the bridal song started playing.

There stood Theo in his uniform looking like a prince as he smiled brightly at me and I walked closer. A beautiful smile was plastered on my face, I wanted to smile more but I had to keep it minimum. I was a bride after all.

We walked down the aisle in between the soldiers and uncle Joshua left me as soon as we got to the priest while I stared at the most beautiful man I have ever seen. He stared at me and I saw his eye get watery. Don't tell me he wants to cry.

"You look...really beautiful" he stutters a bit as I smiled back brightly letting it be seen on my face, not caring Anymore if I was a bride. I just wanted to get married to this man.

"Thank you, you look very handsome" I blush. The priest started as everyone sat down. The wedding officially began.

He talked and said things that I didn't even concentrate on hearing because my eyes was only fixed on the man in front of me until he spoke for us to take our vows.

"If anyone told me I was going to get married I would have told them to shut up" Theo said and everyone laughed. "But look at me here now, getting married to a beautiful woman that's standing in front of me. Haula you make me feel like the happiest man in the world, your smile, your patience, your compassion everything about you makes me fall for you over and over again. The first time I saw you it was like you were the only woman in the world when my whole brain turned and then you smiled and that's when I knew I couldn't let you go. Although our journey had ups and downs but you never once stopped loving me and I thank you for that. Before I proposed to you I was so scared of what you were going to say, were you going to reject me or not but I still took the risk and right now I am getting married to you, saying my vows. Ever since you came into my life you've never made me regret it even once, and I'll marry you over and over again even if it’s not in this lifetime" he concluded. My eyes held water in them as they strolled down. This was the most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to me and coming from him most of all makes me just want to drop this flower in my hand and run to kiss him.

The priest looked at me to say mine.

"I never knew I could find someone with so much love, someone that could love me as much as you do Theo. I was scared at first when you asked me to spend the rest of your life with you, I was scared that you I was going to be a terrible wife, terrible partner and mother, that you were going to run out of love for me but right now as I am standing in front of you looking at you, seeing how much love you've showed me over the years and I knew that could never happen, I could never run out of love for you as you couldn't. You've made me realize that love is a beautiful thing and Theo McCall I will continue to love you till the end of my days. I know this might not be the best vow and I wish to say much more but if I did that we would spend two days here. So Theo McCall I will marry you over and over again even if it’s not in this lifetime" I say as everyone laughs.

I raise my head up looking at Theo as his gaze never left me.

The priest talked and said more things that I didn't care about until he got to the ending that I have been waiting for.

Theo McCall do you take Haula Mathews to be your wife. Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to honor and love her all days of your life"

"I do" Theo said without hesitation and slipped the ring into my finger.

"Haula Mathews do you take Theo McCall to be your husband. Do you promise to be faithful to him in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to honor and love him all days of your life"

"I do" I say happily and slipped our wedding ring into his finger.

with the power vested on my I now declare to you man and wife. You may kiss the bride" the priest concludes.

Theo wasted no time as he grabs my face in his hands and joined our lips together while he stayed there for a while devouring every moment as I did the same not wanting to break it.

"I've been waiting for this moment" he tells me smiling happily as tears rolled down my eyes while he kissed every one of them.

"I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. McCall" and with that the priest ended. I am now officially Mrs. Haula McCall. How does that sound.

***************

The hall was decorated in blue and wine as flowers filled the whole reception. The hall was big as it was enough to take all the people that came. Those who weren't able to meet up with the wedding met up with the reception. I met a lot of people telling me congrats and having a lot of gifts with them. The amount of gifts Theo and I have received today I can't count.

"May I have this dance" Theo asks taking a hand forward. It was a slow dance for the groom and bride as the MC announced.

"Gladly" I took his hand.

"So Mrs. McCall, tell me am I a good dancer" Theo asks as we slow danced. I had changed from my wedding dress to a shorter milky lace gown and Theo had changed into a blue suit.

"Hmm I'm really sorry to tell you Mr. McCall but you're really a bad dancer" I teased.

"Oh really, I guess we'll see then" he smirks. Theo leave my side as I wonder where he was going leaving me all alone on the dance floor. I stared around as people stared and whispered. What is he doing?

The song changed immediately as questions by Chris brown started playing as Theo emerged.

"From the moment you was dancing in the party, pushing all on me, Giving everything, you’re giving everything."

The crowd cheered and screamed as Theo and his friends came out singing. I was speechless to say, I just stood there amazed. When did he plan this.

Oh God.

"And if you thought you could get away from me, you could get away from me Girl just take your time, you're coming home with me tonight" he sang and danced. He jerked his feet as he twirled and the rest followed him.

I never knew Theo could dance like this, he keeps on surprising me every day as I stared at him in love, just wondering what I did to deserve such a man like this.

He came closer to me taking my hand.

"Girl I gotta a question for ya, Can I get an answer?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah."

He twirled me around while his hands went to my waist as I twisted my waist slowly as his breath hitched and his eye widened that I could see how shocked he felt. Did he think he was the only one with tricks.

I turned around facing my back at him as I whined my waist slowly and he came behind me holding my waist.

"She only love me coz I'm dangerous, The pum pum sound like angel dust, Girl let me hold ya,

Put my thing all around ya."

He mimed gracefully as my back collided with him moving every moment making him feel all the things he got married to, after all I was indeed his wife now.

"Make me feel like I own ya,

Kill the pum like a warrior,

Get that pum like…"

I danced more as he sang and the whole crowd where all cheering and using their phones taking videos.

He ended the song as we pant lightly while we stared at each other in an amused crowd. He just stared at me love, list and every other emotion running wild into his eyes.

"I love you" he spoke through heavy breaths.

"I love you too" I replied as we kissed like the world was nowhere to be found. And that ladies and gentlemen is how I married my prince charming.
