Chapter 70: A New Beginning
Vishiea’s POV
The preparation was already set. I could see the smile on her face while holding a bouquet of flowers. The venue was great and everyone was present to witness this special day. I can’t help but to smile in satisfaction.
She’s been dreaming about this all the time. “Auntie, congratulations. You deserve all of this.” I hugged Aunt Kennedy and she smiled genuinely.
“Thank you, always remember even if I’m getting married or building a family, I am always here for you,” Aunt Kennedy said and hugged me. I nod my head and let her walk through the aisle.
She’s finally getting married to Mark and I’m happy for them.
Aunt Kennedy, she always makes time for me. She always checked on me and she became my mother since Mother Kiara died. I am lucky to have such great people like them.
Now, she deserves everything. She deserves what she has right now.
“It took me years before I finally met my mate and I am so lucky it’s you. You always made my day, I can’t wish anything but you stay by my side forever. Your smile, your laughs, everything about you is beautiful, you’re kind, you made me fall in love easily. I love you, Kennedy.” Everyone smiled as they heard his vows. I can really feel that all that he said was true.
“Mark, you’re my rock. I met the most handsome man in this world and who has a pure heart. As days pass, you’re not only making me feel content with what I have but you’re also making me feel safe every time. I love you and I will always cherish the love that we have forever,” Aunt Kennedy said. She finally met the one and I’m so happy for the both of them.
I watched them as they both placed their rings on each other’s fingers. I couldn’t help but to smile. Sometimes not all stories have a happy ending but here they are, proving that they can do anything.
“You may now kiss the bride.” I saw how they both looked at each other and without hesitation, Mark kissed Kennedy. We all stood up and cheered for them.
They started to congratulate them as the wedding was done.
“Congratulations to the both of you.” I smiled and hugged them both.
“Thank you, dear,” Aunt Kennedy smiled. Mark placed his hands on Aunt Kennedy’s waist like they were still teenagers. I can’t help but to smile because of how sweet they are.
“Thank you, Anastasia. Well, we have to leave now. We still have things to do.” Mark said and Aunt Kennedy blushed. I nod at them.
“See you! Hope you guys enjoy!” I said as they are now leaving.
I went back to the table and I saw Dylan waiting for me.
“Seems like someone is too happy,” he uttered. I rolled my eyes and sat on the chair.
“Of course, who wouldn’t? My Aunt Kennedy is already married. I am happy for them,” I told him. He nods his head and he’s about to say something when a guest approaches us.
“We’ll be going now,” they uttered. I nod my head.
“You seem to have something to say?” I asked Dylan but he shook his head.
“Nothing, I mean I’m happy for Aunt Kennedy and Mark,” he said. I slowly nod my head while looking at him. He looks strange.
I looked around and the venue was actually pretty. We helped Aunt Kennedy and Mark with the preparation and it turned out to be like this. It’s beautiful.
I let out a deep sigh. It’s been three months since that day. I didn’t regret any of my decisions. They were right. I felt relieved and after that, I never heard any of him. I choose to live my life without any news about him.
Maybe… maybe he’s already happy now. Maybe he’s living his life just like me.
“Hey, are you alright?” Dylan snapped his fingers. I looked at him and smiled. And with that, three months Dylan didn’t stop cheering me up.
“Nah, I’m fine, you don’t have to worry about me that much. Besides, I’m perfectly fine now,” I confidently said.
After that encounter, my life had changed. It wasn’t like before anymore. It’s peaceful and quiet and stable.
“Are you thinking about him?” he asked suddenly. The smile on my face faded. He gulped when he saw how serious I am.
“How many times do I have to tell you that I don’t want to talk about it, Dylan,” I told him. He awkwardly smiled at me.
“Sorry, you know what? Let’s just eat. Because after this you still have things to do,” he reminded me and he was right.
I still have things to do. Since Mother Kiara died, I started to learn how to manage her businesses. It’s tough, yet I already had experience.
She has a wide business. I did all I could to learn everything. Now, I can say that I did great because I managed it well. If only Mother Kiara is still alive, maybe she’s so happy and proud of me right now.
“Dylan, the papers I’ve been telling you to do? Have you finished it? We still have transactions today, I almost forgot,” I told him. He chuckled and nodded his head.
“I already did it,” he said. Dylan is actually helping me with the business. He never complained or anything.
“You’re impressive, I thought you’ll finish that in five days,” I teased him and he glared at me.
He’s still learning when it comes to business, but I could say he’s doing great. Besides, Aunt Kennedy is always with us, helping us on the things we should do.
“Yeah, right. But look, I just finished it within two days. That’s final, I just forgot to give it to you,” he uttered. I just nodded at him.
I rested my back on the chair. I also dreamed of getting married before, but it didn’t happen and I know it didn’t work because of a certain reason.
I let out a deep sigh. This is the life I choose and I will not regret it.
