Chapter 47 Chapter 47: Shattered Memories
Chapter 47: Shattered Memories
Vishiea’s POV
I was about to leave when he suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. The next thing he did, he pressed his lips against mine. He kissed me aggressively while I was trying to get away from him.
I pushed him hard and gave him a hard slap.
My eyes widened, still surprised by what he just did right now.
I pushed him immediately and gave him a hard slap.
“I know it's you, Vishiea. Just fucking admit it!” He said, forcing me to admit that it’s me.
While I was still speechless from what he just did to me, he tried to hold my hand again. This time I didn't let him lay a finger on me.
“I am not Vishiea. Stop forcing me to admit something which I am not. I respect you because you're the king, but the next time you will do this to me, that's not the only thing you’ll receive from me.” I said before finally walking away.
Tears started streaming down my cheeks while leaving with a heavy heart.
You've really changed, Darius. You're willing to do everything just to know the truth. I can't believe I was once attached to someone like you.
You're not only heartless and a bastard, you're also good at manipulation. Did you really think acting like you cared about me would change my mind and make me admit to you that I am actually Vishiea? I am not stupid. And no matter what happens, I will not admit it without a crucial reason.
I am not done yet, and I haven't even started my plan of revenge. Every one of you who hurt me and killed my parents will pay—including you, Darius. You caused so much pain in me. I will never forget how you betrayed me. How you were not content with me.
You're the reason why I was exiled from this kingdom.
I even remember your stupid promises and your lies. How you treated me, pretending that you loved me while cheating behind my back.
If I hadn’t caught you that day, you would have always cheated on me.
I had enough of you, and even though you're the king right now, it doesn't change how cruel you are.
I wiped my tears but they kept on streaming down my cheeks. It feels like the past kept on running after me.
How I ended up with nothing. I thought my life was useless, and I even ended up thinking of ending my own life. I had nowhere to go, my parents died, and being exiled from the kingdom meant no one would ever accept me.
I lost hope to live that day, wandering around with no purpose in life. While thinking how they enjoyed their lives without me. How they celebrated because I could no longer meddle with their business.
I feel like what happened was trapped to me and my family.
My world shattered, but my heart was mourning that day. I felt like I didn’t have to live a life anymore, which was too much to handle.
My life would never be like that if only Darius had helped me. If only the king had investigated what just had happened. If only my mom hadn't died on purpose because someone poisoned her. They really played it well. They succeeded in torturing me because that’s what they wanted in the first place.
To make me suffer. They had the power to control us before, but now, I have the power to control them.
While I was running out of the garden, I bumped into someone.
“I’m sorry,” I apologized to the person I bumped into and wiped my tears. I was about to leave when that person held my hand.
“Lady Anastasia.” When I heard that familiar voice, I broke down. The pain was too much to handle.
He hugged me and I felt a sudden comfort. He caressed my back while I cried on his shoulder.
“It’s fine. Just let it all out,” he told me while helping me sit.
I separated from the hug and wiped my tears. He only stared at me.
“I’m sorry, I—I just can't stop crying,” I told him. He tucked my hair behind my ears. He then wiped my tears.
“A gorgeous lady... who dared to make you cry?” He asked. I was silent and looked at him.
“It was the king,” I answered him as my voice cracked. His forehead knotted while looking at me, and I could see how confused he was right now.
“What did that king do to you? Tell me.” He held my hand while I hesitated, unsure whether to tell him about it or not.
Tears kept streaming down my cheeks again. He looked at me with worried eyes.
“He summoned me. I don't know why, but I still followed his guard to the garden. He started forcing me to admit that I am Vishiea, but I couldn’t because I am not her,” I blurted, wiping my tears.
That bastard. He's willing to do everything just to make me confess.
He must be out of his mind. He will not stop until he finds out the truth, and if he ever finds out that I am Vishiea, what will he do? Is he going to punish me for entering his dearest kingdom?
“The king? Darius... he really changed when we grew up together, but now that he's the king, he also changed. He's no longer the Darius I know,” Nathan uttered.
You're right, Nathan. He's no longer the Darius we know.
“He started shouting at me. Forcing me to say that I am Vishiea. I tried to leave but he grabbed me by the hand, and... he kissed me aggressively.” Tears fell down my cheeks while saying those words.
He has no shame in himself. He even tried to hurt me. Now that’s not going to happen. I will never let him lay his hands on me again.
“What? That bastard! I don't care if he's the king. How dare he do that to you?” Nathan’s jaw clenched as he stood up with his fist closed.
