Chapter 37: Return To Usual
Alex's PoV
"You don't know Mel how much I am hurt by you for not telling me the truth. That I my very self still have to know those things," those words running through my mind now. Although I want to not think but it is can't be help, it is voluntary to think bad words.
I stopped crying and wiped away my tears. I just continued to drink alcohol here at home until I could no longer and soon drop.

"Argghh," I moaned as I held my head.
"It hurts," I said, closing my eyes and shaking my head. A few moments later I got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I went straight to school and eat breakfast here, I just bought two plates of rice and five barbecues.
Even though I haven't eaten yet, I yawned, which means I'm still very sleepy. I slapped both my side face a little weakly to wake me up and I thanked the grace and ate.
"You look happy Mr. Alex?" our teacher said that obviously who likes me -_-.
"Not really ma'am," I replied because I didn't want to argue. I feel so light now, I feel like I've been released from a cage I've been locked in for so long.
I didn't realize that a whole day of my class was over, I just went to my car and went home. I took off my uniform first and looked in my big mirror, just like before, I still have big muscles. I just dressed casually because I'm going somewhere.
I'm here now in front of the flowers shop, I just bought what I wanted and then I went back to my car and put it behind the seat. I also went to the mall to buy food, groceries, and more. After I bought I went straight to the hospital, I feel so happy right now. I need to tell him what I want to say now. Maybe he's in Tar's room now. The nurses I passed just smiled at me and I just smiled at them too. When I opened the door there was no one but I heard someone taking a shower from the bathroom, I moved slowly so that I could not make noise. I just put the ones I bought on the table and still carry my flowers. As I looked at Tar's body, I noticed that a lot had changed in him since he came here. He is so thin now, and his hair is getting longer.
"Oh," she greeted as she came out of the bathroom.
"She seemed surprised when she said that," I said to myself and stood up and presented him with the flower I was holding.
"What is this?" she asked in confusion.
"No... I just really want to give you a flower today," I replied and she wiped her wet mouth.
"Me! If you think I will comeback at you by—."
"No, I accept everything. Why you did those things. You don't know how happy I am today, it was like the wind changed this morning when I went to school. I realized you were really important to me, but not like before. You are important to me now because we were together then, you are right. We need to forgive each other especially ourselves. So now I am giving you a flower and I want us to be friends now," I said so long and she approached me and hugged me.
"Thank you," she just said and let go.
"Thank you too," I replied.
We had a good conversation, we talked about what we did when we forgot about each other. This conversation just means that we accept that we are okay. I feel more comfortable talking to her now than when I was still stuttering even after talking to her.
I didn't realize it was almost eight o'clock because of our conversation.
"Maybe I'm going to home Mel," I said and stood up while holding my cellphone.
"Stay first and let's have a dinner together," she suggested.
"It's up to you," I could only say and she had prepared the two plates and the food I had bought earlier. While eating, we were still talking and laughing, she also told me about her older brother who did not know about our relationship before.
As our conversation goes on, it goes to her older brother, I can't even admit that I'm happy with it because of her storytelling about her older brother. His favorites and what he likes, my knowledge about him increases.
Soon I went home because it was getting too late, the smile still lingered on my lips. I am very, very happy with what happened today. While driving, someone called my cellphone, but I couldn't reach it, so I decided to park on the side of the road first and answer it.
"Yes Mom?" I asked because she was the caller.
"Son! Good news! My boss is letting me have a vacation," she said happily and I smiled with joy.
"That's good news Mom," I replied and took my water and drank it.
"When are you supposed to fly here on a plane?" I asked and closed the water bottle.
"Next month, son. But it's near, isn't it?" she said and I was a little depressed because I thought it was really close as I expected.
"Oh, is that so Mom? It's okay, I'll wait for you Mom, okay?" I said and started my car.
"Goodbye Mom. I was driving when I answered your call," I said while holding the steering wheel.
"Oh, is that so. All right, I'll off it now, I love you son!" she replied and turned off the call. I just parked my car and soon I was home. I rested first when I arrived then took a shower. I had finished cleaning my body when my cellphone rang. Someone texted me.
"Are you home yet? Thank you for what you bring and for the flowers," I said to myself as I read Mel's message. I named her number and replied to it.
"Yes, I just finished taking a bath. Don't mind about it," I told her and I continued drying my hair, then got dressed and a few minutes later I fell asleep.
