Chapter 69

******Axel's POV******

The room felt like we were in an earth quake, followed by the fierce flickering of lights clicking on and off.

We remained on the floor as I glanced to Cassio who had paled completely in his chair.

"Move back!" I roar out to Nolan, Grey and Ivanna as the three of them follow my command and move to the furthest away walls in the room.

Jars start to fly from the shelves and smash, causing us to cover our heads.

I glance to see Draco standing tall, as he throws his hands out - commanding the shards of glass to rise from the floor as they do just that.

Draco tilts his head, causing the soaked rag to fly out from Cassios mouth, as he gasps for air dramatically.

He immediately begins to yell and plead for him to stop, with his eyes roaming the hundreds of sharp objects now surrounding him - causing him to sweat.

The shards of piercing glass had risen from the floor and remained still in the air, and with a simple flick of Draco’s hands, they had all shifted to point their sharpest edges at Cassio as he squirmed in the chair.

I hadn't seen anything like this... and perhaps I had underestimated just how powerful this man actually was... even I was enticed to see what he would do next.

On that note, the harsh sparking of electric cables reached our ears, as they began to pull themselves from the walls, snaking their way towards Cassio, fiery and ready to strike!

"YOU KILLED MY SON AND NOW YOU WILL PAY!" Draco bellows harshly, showcasing a tone that we hadn't yet heard as I noticed even Grey and Nolan’s eyes were wide at the scene.

He was radiating sheer power which was also followed by a deep set pain. The pain of realising he actually had no hope in reuniting with his son.

"You can't! You can't! I'm cursed remember! None of you can kill me!" Cassio rants, as I watch him sweat profusely in the chair in a frenzy.

"Who can't?!" Draco roars, moving his hands in command to the dangerous objects he had prepared.

In an instant the open cables leapt forward, sparking and electrocuting Cassio all over his body in short sequences.

He began to scream from the pain, twisting and turning as little as he could in the chair he had been tied to.

"S-Stop... Please... Make it stop I’ll do anything!" He cried, as the rest of us remained in a trance like stare watching the scene unfold.

"Stop you say? FINE!" Draco yells, as the cables retreat leaving Cassio red, cut and blistered from the abuse.

"I'm sorry... that he died... but it was... an accident!" Cassio breathes out the words heavily, his eyes rolling in and out of consciousness as he pants.

"An accident?!" Draco roars, causing Cassio to jump in fear now.

"He... fell..." Cassio breathes, as the sweat and tears trickle down his face.

"FELL HOW?!" Draco rages on, turning now to look at Ivanna in a plead for more answers.

"HOW DID HE DIE?!" He demands, as Ivanna shakes slightly deciding whether or not to involve herself.

"They... they pushed him... into the river..." Ivanna all but whispers, as I cringe from the words.

Those sick fucking bastards!

"NO! NO PLEASE SHES LYING! PLEASE! WE HAVE BEEN GOOD TO YOU DRACO PLEASE!" Cassio panics now, as I glance to Ivanna who too seems to be crying from the flashback of his son.

"GOOD TO ME? IVE BEEN A PRISONER FOR A SON YOU ALREADY KILLED!" Draco screams at Cassio, seeming to have lost all patience now as he lifts his hands again and pushes them towards Cassio.

With this action, the shards of glass shoot forward, stabbing and scratching Cassio all over his body as he roars from the pain.

"P-PLEASE!!" Cassio continues, as the blood seeps out all over him, painting him red.

"PLEASE WHAT?!" Draco bellows again, as the shards continue to make unholy sounds as they rip across his body angrily.

"PLEASE JUST KILL ME!" Cassio cry's, the tears flowing from his eyes in horror.

Draco holds up his hands, pausing the glass, before smiling wickedly at the scene he had created.

"As you wish." He nods briefly, before flicking his hand that commands a single shard of glass to slit his throat, finally ending him as his head falls forward in the chair.

The room falls silent until all we can hear is Draco's heavy breathing.

After moments pass, with no one daring to make the first move, I decide to shakily stand to my feet, before approaching the hunched over Draco who violently begins to cry.

"Draco..." My own voice surprises me as I speak, as I approach him slowly, seeing him hold his face in his hands.

"I'm sorry..." I state again once I am close enough, placing a hand on his shoulder before he collapses into me, sobbing loudly now.

"The curse..." I breathe, seeing black veins stretching across his hands and face.

"I'm not scared to die... not anymore… if it means I can be with my son!" He sobs harder, as I hold him tightly now, allowing him the comfort.

"You did what any father would do... you did your best Draco... and you have saved so many children's lives by killing that bastard!" I encourage, as he grips my shirt and continues to cry.

"I don't have long left..." His voice grows more gritty, as his throat evidently begins to close up and dry.

"Do you have anyone else here that you would like me to visit..." Is all I can think to ask, as his body grows colder in my arms.

"My... son... was my only... thing in life..." He chokes, as I throw my head back to contain my own emotions.

"He would be so proud to have a Dad like you." I rub his back gently, as the others remain at a distance to give us space.

"Thank you..." Draco lifts his head heavily to stare up at me, showing his lips that had now turned fully blue.

"No... thank you..." I nod, feeling the tears build in my eyes from watching a good man go.

With that, his eyes fell shut, and his breathing steadily came to a halt... he was dead.
