Chapter 81: Is This How It Feels To Be Chased By 2 Guys?
Golden smiled at Fab and Alex as they left. She didn't want to cause a scene and draw attention to them.
Normally, whenever she was the center of attention, it was usually because she was being made fun of.
She didn't want to call attention to herself over two guys fighting over her.
Although it did feel good to be desired, even though one was pretend.
Was this how girls felt whenever two guys fought over them?
Golden had felt Allan's stares as they were eating. She had caught him looking at her and pretended to be oblivious about it.
“So what do you want to talk to me about? I don't want to be late to class” Golden said as she looked towards the door.
“Well I wanted to invite you for a late night snack by the beach tomorrow night.”
Allan put his thumb in his mouth and then used it to clean a ketchup stain on the side of Golden's mouth and then he licked it up.
“There, much better. There was ketchup on the side of your mouth.” He said is a low tone.
“Uhmm. Thank you. You could have just told me and I would have wiped it off myself.” Golden said a little shaky.
There was something about what Allan had just done that seemed sexy.
He had asked her to be his girl, but it seemed like he was going to use the honey trap to get her.
“It's no bother. So what do you say, will you go on a date with me tomorrow night?
I will be done from the tattoo parlor at 8 pm, then we can head to the beach.”
“Look I have to go class now, really don't want to be late. I will check my schedule and get back to you later.” Golden said standing up to leave.
“Let's go together. I believe I have the same class as well.”
Allan stood and helped Golden pull out her chair so she could stand. He reached for her handbag but she carried it before he could get to it.
Together they left the cafeteria and headed to call. On the way, they passed by some classmates and some even smiled at Golden.
She had been getting that a lot since she and Fab became a couple.
Although she and Allan were going to class together, he was walking behind her so it just felt like they were headed in the same direction, not that they were actually walking together.
Golden felt a little disappointed. What was she thinking? Allan may have said hello to her in class, and even sat at her table at lunch, he still couldn't bear to be seen with her in public.
It was okay if she was with her friends, it wouldn't feel weird. But being with her alone in the presence of people would be admitting that he digs her.
Just as they were approaching the lecture hall, Golden felt her phone vibrate. She had an incoming message.
Allan: “I didn't realize how beautiful your back view is. I would love to draw you some time”.
Golden was stunned at the message. While she was still processing it, she saw the three dots that indicated that he was still typing.
Allan: “Walking behind you made me feel like a protector guarding something precious.”
Allan: “Please say yes to my date okay? I promise, it would be worth your while.”
Golden couldn't help but blush as she read the text. She didn't know that Allan had a cheeky side.
Golden saw her friends as soon as she entered the hall and went straight to take her seat beside them.
Allan decided to sit in front of them this time around and sat three rows upfront from Golden.
When Golden sat and dropped her phone on the table, eagled eyed Fabulous saw the messages that Allan had sent just before the screen went dark.
“So what did he want?” Alex asked as she smiled and texted.
“He wants them to go on a date. I'm not sure when, but he promised to make it worth her while.” Fab said with a light chuckle before Golden could respond.
“How did you know that? Did you put a spy bug on me or something?” Golden asked turning to face Fab with a questioning look.
“Relax honey, I saw the messages that he sent, just before your phone went dark”, he replied casually.
“Let me see too.” Alex said as she grabbed Golden's phone before she could react.
“Omg! Who knew this dude could be this cocky? A protector? Really?” Alex smirked as she read the messages and passed the phone over to Fab.
“Keep your voice down. He's sitting right ahead of us.” Golden said between gritted teeth.
“Uhhh, he even wants to draw your back. I didn't know he could draw.” Fab said as he handed the phone back to Golden.
“Oh wait he's a tattooist so he probably knows how to draw. How about we all get matching tattoos?
We can ask Allan to tattoo us. He's asking my girlfriend out on a date behind my back, it's the least he can do.”
“No thanks. I hate needles so I'll pass.” Alex shook her head dismissively.
“Who would have thought that almighty Alex is actually scared of needles?” Fab asked in wonder.
“Haven't you heard the saying that doctors make the worse patients? Well I fall under that category.” Alex responded without any shame.
Golden couldn't help it. Her friends were quite a handful. She just hopped that Allan couldn't hear their conversation.
It would really be embarrassing if he heard them discussing him.
She was tired and couldn't wait for the day to be over already so she could go back home to her bed.
The day finally ended and Golden dragged her tired body home.
She mumbled a greeting as she passed by Florence and asked for a cup of tea and a slice of pie.
Just as she settled in, ready for bed, she texted Allan
Golden: “I agree to go out with you tomorrow night. Allan, don't stand me up again.”
Golden: “Goodnight. I really need to sleep now.”
The last time that Allan had asked Golden out on a date, he stood her up and make her the laughing stock of the entire school.
As she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, Golden hope that she wouldn't regret agreeing to a date with Allan.
