Chapter 82 Not that easy to bully anymore
Chapter 82: Not That Easy To Bully Anymore
The day started off uneventful. The students sat through two hours of Calculus and Biochemistry.
The holiday glow had slowly faded and what was in its place were tired and exhausted faces.
The only ones still glowing were the lecturers. It was as if they were vampires that fed off the glow and spark of the students.
They always seemed energetic and ready to drain the students.
The students were tired of hearing how much they need to endure because being a real doctor was demanding and stressful.
While they waited for the Anatomy professor to show up, Linda stood up in her usual fashion demanding an audience.
Even “Queen Bee” had been humbled by the demanding classes they've had.
She didn't show up the first week and only just resumed.
She stood up and went to the front of the class and stood on the podium like a queen looking out to her subjects.
“Everyone seems pretty tired and exhausted” she began. “Don't worry, I your queen has made provision for you all.
I ordered pizza and ice tea and it should be here any moment. I figured 20 minutes isn't enough time for everyone to go to the cafeteria, eat, and get back to class.”
Just as she finished speaking, the delivery guys showed up with her orders and set them down on the podium.
She had ordered 10 boxes of large pizzas with disposable plates and all. She signaled Cindy and Lilly to come help her distribute them.
Most of the classmates were thrilled and couldn't help whistle and praise Linda for being quite considerate.
This made Linda thrilled and she smiled even more.
She picked up a plate of pizza and a cup of ice tea and approached Golden's row.
She pretended to trip and tried to dump the pizza and ice tea on Golden.
Golden saw through her intentions and raised her hands to shield herself.
Fab was faster, he quickly hugged Golden and blocked the food from touching her.
The food landed on his back, staining his jacket.
“Opps! I tripped. Sorry Fatty, I will get you another plate of pizza and another cup of ice tea.” Linda apologized with a mocking gaze, not sorry at all.
“No need for your fake apology. Besides I'm allergic to onions and chives so I'll pass.
You are lucky though that it didn't land on my cloth cos I doubt you would be able to afford the compensation fee from the little allowance daddy gives you if that sauce had touched me.”
“I wouldn't mind a cup of ice tea though” Golden said daringly to Linda.
“While you are at it, can you also get me a slice, actually two slices of pizza? She's allergic but I'm not.
Plus it smells really nice. Or you can ask your minions to get it for me.” Alex said, provoking Linda further.
There were silent chuckles and whispers around. Golden and Alex had managed to ridicule Linda.
Linda's face turned red, almost as red as her hair.
Like some spoiled little princess, Linda screamed, stumped her feet and turned away.
“I don't know she keeps trying to provoke you.” Fab said as he took off his soiled jacket and placed it on the table.
“You would think that by now she would have gotten the memo that you aren't that easy to bully anymore.”
“She's just plain stupid. She would do anything to assert her dominance over Gigi.
Tell me Gigi, did you by chance offend her in your former lives that she's clinging to you so desperately” Alex asked.
“Who knows? I have no recollection of my former life.” Gigi said with a smile.
Class finally ended by 7pm. As everyone left the lecture hall, Linda stopped by Allan's table and handed him a gift box.
Alex, Golden, and Fab passed by at that very moment and heard Linda ask Allan if they could hangout later.
Golden felt a certain jolt in her chest and gave Allan a side glance. What was he going to say? She wondered.
Fab immediately placed his hand on the small of her back and gently nudged her to keep walking.
They got to the door and he dropped the soiled jacket in the bin before stepping out.
Rex Tattoo Parlor
Allan didn't have to work many shifts anymore. They were quite comfortable now and Rema's medical bills had been sorted.
He continued working at the parlor because he enjoyed it and could use the extra cash.
It was almost 8 pm and he had a last minute client. He didn't want Golden to think he was standing her up so he quickly excused himself to the backroom to call her.
It was 7:45 pm and Golden still hadn't heard from Allan. She was a bit disappointed and was about to go change when she got a call from him.
“Hello Gigi” Allan said over the phone. “I have a last minute client that I can't turned down so I might be a little late.”
“It's fine Allan. We can hang out some other time”. Golden said in a cold voice ready to hang up the phone when she heard Allan ask her not to hang up.
“How about you come to the shop and wait for me, we can set out together once I'm done.” He rushed through his words, scared she would hang up and misunderstand him again.
“Oh!” Golden wasn't expecting that but was glad he didn't outrightly cancel.
“I will share my life location with you now. I have to go now, see you in a bit.”
Allan immediately shared his life location and went back to his client.
Golden arrived at the tattoo parlor and was asked to wait at the reception.
After about 30 minutes, Allan came out to join her and they both left the parlor together.
“So where are we going?” Golden asked as she held her sweater tight to ward off the cold.
Allan took off the scarf around his neck and wrapped it around Gigi's neck. Then he opened his backpack and brought out a head warmer and put on her head.
“Here. Do you feel better now?” He asked as he slowly stroked her cheek.
Golden felt a bit warm, not from the scarf and head warmer, but from Allan's touch.
Ever since the day they made out in the estate, she found out that her body craved him whenever she was around him.
