Chapter 13 Linda Miller
Chapter 13: Linda Miller
Linda watched Allan drive off on his bike and couldn't help but glare at him.
She had liked him from the very moment she set her eyes on him. He was tall, well built, and had a dangerous aura.
Allan was the play boy of Med school and although he looked like trouble, every girl wanted a piece of him.
The fact that he didn't fit into the normal stereotype of what a medical student should look like, added an allure that drew her in.
The day Linda saw Allan with his shirt off was when she decided she had to have him.
It was during a frat pool party. People were most times fooled by the seriousness of medical students.
They always thought that all they did was read.
But in Ocean City University, medical students found a way to have fun. They deserved all the fun they had. They needed the fun to balance out all the stress they underwent daily.
In OCU Med School, Linda was Queen Bee. She was beauty with brains. She was also among the top five in her class of 40.
She had hosted the frats pool party and everyone in the class had been invited.
She spotted Allan just as he was taking off his shirt to get into the pool. She knew he had a tattoo that peeked out of his shirt, but had never seen the full tattoo.
When Allan took off his shirt, she spotted the full tattoo. It was a massive eagle that covered his whole back.
The eagles wings made Allan look like he had wings on his back whenever he stretched.
Allan caught her staring at him and winked at her before diving into the pool.
Linda was very self conscious and had always been the center of attention from the time she was a kid.
Although her parents were not wealthy, they tried their best to provide everything she needed.
She was a rich kid, but compared to the second generation wealth kids, she was at best average.
The first time Linda met Golden was in her second year of senior high school. Golden had just transferred to her school and she arrived in Mercedes Benz GLE 450 4MATIC.
She was wearing a Georgio-Armani customed made gown and a jacket to go with it. Her backpack was a black Micheal kors with a purple charm attached to the zipper.
Linda was immediately jealous of Golden because she was used to being the center of attention and suddenly, another girl who seemed like she came the upper East side of the city appeared to share her spotlight.
Not only was Golden a rich kid, but then she also swept all the awards the minute she arrived.
The only advantage Linda had over Golden was the fact that Golden was chubby, and she was Slim. At 16, most girls were concious of their appearance, and Golden was a little on the big side.
She wasn't as big as she currently is back then, but Linda made sure to body shame her as a way to assert her dominance.
Linda also made sure to bully Golden for being rich because of the way she dressed and the fact that she had her family driver drop her off and pick her up from school.
Soon Golden started coming to school without her driver, and stopped wearing couture dresses to school.
That didn't make Linda feel any better because everything Golden wore were still top designers and were latest releases.
Although she didn't have her driver drop her off anymore, she came to school in a BMW x6.
No matter how much Linda tried, she was never able to beat Golden in class.
Golden became like an invisible shadow that suppressed her.
She made sure to exclude Golden from every social gathering except when they needed her parents to fund something.
She ganged up with other classmates to play pranks on her and also target her during P.E.
Golden was a very introverted girl and before joining the school, had been homeschooled and so she found it difficult to blend in.
And with Linda targeting her, the two years she spent in highschool were a nightmare.
Golden beat Linda to become Valedictorian and that further fueled her hatred for her.
Then Golden's parents died in a car crash. According to the news report, she was in the car with them and her mum had died trying to protect her.
After so many months in coma, Golden eventually survived but turned to food to help cope with her trauma.
Linda felt she wouldn't have to deal with Golden again. She became the Belle of OCU Med School.
She was prettier and her red curls made her stand out even more. Everyone was attracted to her because of her beauty and intelligence as should be. But in all, she was still as nasty as she was in high school.
Golden turned up at OCU during the second semester. It was during an Anatomy class.
She walked in and Linda who was in the process of answering a question froze for a second before bursting into a light chuckle.
Golden had gained extra weight from the last time she saw her.
In highschool at least she was a size 14. When she walked into class, she was a whooping size 18. While Linda remained a size 8.
And just like highschool, Linda bullied her for her weight while Golden suppressed her academically. It was a very dysfunctional type of relationship.
Linda knew that Golden had a crush on Allan. Most girls did. He was the most wanted bad boy on campus.
The first time she noticed was during a presentation. She had caught Golden staring at Allan and as a lady, she could tell what that look meant.
How dare Golden crush on Allan? Was she even qualified?
Allan could only fancy someone like her and not a fatty like Golden.
Allan should have jumped at the opportunity to swap to her group when she offered, or was he mad that she dragged him when she was trying to mess with Golden and Alex?
This was what ran through her mind as she entered into her car and drove off.
