Chapter 128 A Shadow Traumatizing
Chapter 128 A Shadow Traumatizing
Gabriel's POV
As the days went by, we kept getting news of the shadow traumatizing Ashstone Forest. Jason also had become part of our family, but there were still some wolves who didn't like him.
The sun was rising and I felt it was going to be a bright day, but Warren came over calling for us.
"Prince, Wade! Quick! At the herb shelter." Waren's trembling voice came through the door.
"Now what?" Wade said in a frustrated voice.
We rushed over to the herb shelter and Julia was looking at the broken shelves in distraught as Blake was trying to console her.
"Blake, you don't understand those herbs, they shouldn't have gone in anyone's hand. We need to get them back."
"Okay, Julia, calm down, we'll get them back." Jennifer said, consoling her.
"Yes, the Ashstone herbs are marked. We'll get them back. Let's go, it's lunch time." Jenna said, persuading her.
"But--" Julia tried to back out.
"At least for Lily. You know her meals are important." Jenna said in a warm voice.
"Okay, let's go."
Ever since Jason came here, we've kept him around us, so he eats with us as well.
The dining table was a rectangle one and we all sat on the sides. Jennifer, Claude, Jenna, Dustin, me and Wade were seated on this side, while Dane, Julia, Blake, Lily, Denis, and Jason were seated in front of us along with Jason.
"Wow, you're so beautiful." Jason said as he was looking towards Jennifer.
Jennifer was taken aback as Claude scolded, "Kid, do you have a death threat? Do you know what you're saying and to whom?"
"Oh, sorry. I didn't mean your lady--"
"What?? Do you mean to say I'm not beautiful?" Jennifer said in an angry voice.
"No, Lady, that's not what I meant. You are beautiful, but I dare not say. I was actually (He points above Jennifer's head) saying about her."
"Her??" Jennifer turned around, but there was no one.
"Jason, what games are you playing? There's no one here." Claude said in an annoyed voice.
"Yes, we're seated in front, and we also can't and didn't see anyone. And the omega's, you've seen them before." Denis said in a frank voice.
"But she's there--"
Just then Blake said, "Jennifer duck!" And threw a spoon that hit a shadow before it disappeared. While the others on my side said, "Shadow!" In unison.
"What?" Jason said, shocked.
"What's going on?" Julia said in a confused voice.
"I saw a beautiful lady standing behind Jennifer, and then it turned into a shadow. The lady, beautiful and slender, only I could see, but the shadow, all could see. What's going on?" Jason said frustrated.
"Slender? Hey, the guardian also said the shadow he captured was slender." Jenna said recalling.
"Jason, you saw her, can you recognize her again?" I asked in a concerned voice.
"Yes."
"Call Vernon." I said to the omega's.
"Prince, you called?" Vernon said in a solemn voice.
"Vernon, draw the face he tells you." I said pointing towards Jason.
"Apart from being a healer, Vernon is a great artist as well." I said explaining.
"Jason, is this all? Any other clue or anything you missed?" Vernon asked as she was holding the pencil.
"Nope. I said all I recall." Jason said in a firm voice.
"Okay. Everyone, this is the face I got." Vernon said as she showed us the face.
"She truly is beautiful, but who is she?" Denis said, pinching his eyebrows.
"Julia, you have a keen smell in the omega's." Dustin said, looking at Julia.
"Yes, but she's definitely not a wolf. I can smell them even under the ground. And, she's slender, so she's definitely not a wolf, as we're muscular. But the Shadow Outlaw females are slender." Julia said, making a point.
"She's not a vampire as the same goes for me. I can sense a vampire miles away, and as the prince of Shadow Outlaw, Dustin included, we can sense shadows, but she's a mystery for us." I said in a frank voice.
"Ah, I'm not as active as the rest of the girls, and basically I'm a home girl, but can I ask something?" Lily said raising her hand.
"Lily, everyone has their own experiences, and knowledge. You're as equal as the rest. Go on." Dustin said in a warm voice.
"Ah, then Vernon, may I ask why the lines on her face? I mean, Jason didn't say, 'She had lines on her face." Lily said, getting our attention.
"Oh these," Vernon said, explaining. "Well, according to the way Jason described her skin tone changes, this being is definitely four-five hundred years old."
"What???" We all said in unison.
"Yes, (She pointed to the lines). Here, below, at first glance, her skin was white. Then, her skin changed to pink, that's when the food began to come in, meaning warm. Then her skin was purple, the doors and windows were opened. The skin change represents age. White was her look age. Pink was her mid age, and last purple, or blue, was her elder look. She transformed into a shadow to hide her real look." Vernon said, explaining.
"Lily, go on. Something is on your mind." Wade said smiling as he knew she had something sorted out.
"Well, Julia just said, 'Wolves are muscular. And we wolves live a human lifecycle. As we're not immortal. So, she's not a wolf. Second, vampires. She is slender, but Nelo once said a vampire is born and lives a normal life until he decides his immortal age. Like Gabriel is twenty-five. Vernon is thirty..."
"The Elders are forty, and we do have rare elders who are fifty, but not more." I said adding in.
"Exactly. A vampire chooses their stop age, and then retains that age for ever. Gabriel is over two hundred years old, but still twenty-five. He and the rest don't age. Now, if I'm not wrong, Jason cares about age?" Lily asked in a questioning voice.
