Chapter 118 Decision Is In Wade’s Hand's
Wade's POV

I was busy doing my work when Sabrina came over.

"Wade! You just spend all your time here while the elders are sending some princess for Gabriel's bethrowel."

"Princess? What princcess?" I said a little confused.

"Gabriel's birthday is in a few days. The elders have decided Gabriel's life is important for the vampire's. So, to keep him alive, they've decided to choose a princess for him. She's coming the day after tomorrow, and Gabriel is preparing a room for her back home as we speak." Sabrina said in a frank voice.

"What? No way. He wouldn't." I said in a frank voice and headed home. As I entered, Gabriel was giving orders for placing flowers in the guest room.

"Gabriel? When did you plan to tell me about this princess?" I asked in a frank voice.

"Oh, I was going to tell you when you come back, but I guess you found out." Gabriel said as he was fixing the table alignment.

"Gabiel, was all your so called love, fated mate thing a facade? You're actually going to marry that princess? And, you said I could take my time." I scoffed as I turned away to walk, but stopped.

"I did, and still am. But, I am the prince of Shadow Outlaws, and as the rule is, if after two hundred years, I still don't have a mate--"

"You do. Me!" Wade said reasoning.

"Yes, but in words alone. We made out, once. After that, we stay in one room, but sleep on the sides. We both are still single. Even if I'm a prince, there are some things that I can't go against the elders with. I stood against them and claimed you are my fated mate. Next, we should have gotten married, but you still want time."

"As for the princess (Gabriel said as he began fixing the table cloth), when she comes, I'll talk to her and hope she agrees to play along. Or else, I will have to--"

"No, you can't!" I retorted in anger.

"Okay, then. Let's get married. The elders will back off."

"No, that's not what I meant." I said in a low voice.

"Wade, she is coming the day after tomorrow. You have two days. Decide and let me know. Will I be marrying you or the princess, two days from now."

With that Gabriel went up to the guest room.

"What? Gabriel! Come back! Don't you dare leave like that and don't you dare threaten me.  I think this is your scam--"

"Prince, the princess has arrived!" Tara came running.

"What? So soon? Okay, thank you. Everyone, finish your work. I'll go greet the princess."

I followed Gabriel outside as a carriage stopped right in front of our cottage.

"Prince Gabriel, Valerino at your service." Valerino bowed as she got off the carriage.

"Please, you're a princess yourself." Gabriel said as he took his hand. "Please follow me while the lady's come." Gabriel looked towards Nelo. "Nelo, please tell the ladies to come."

Nelo left and within seconds came back with Jenna, Jennifer, and Lily.

"You? Why are you all here? Jenna, you're my pack sister, how--"

"Yes, and Gabriel is my husband's blood brother." Jenna said in a frank voice.

"Wade, we just got a scroll from the vampire elders. We've come to meet the princess, and if everything is fine, then get the bride ready as well." Lily said in a frank voice.

"Yes, and he gave you time, ample time, yet you deny the bond. Wade, Gabriel is the prince of Shadow Outlaws. He has responsibilities, just like Dustin, Cladue and Denis. See, they all have mates, and even if me and Claude are not married, we're engaged. What about you?" Jennifer said in a frank voice.

"I..we..."

"Wade, for now, we're going to meet her, only. But, tomorrow morning, we'll begin the preparations. Now, whether we begin the preparations for the princess or you, it's your decision."

The day went by watching everyone being all smiley with Valerino. Then dinner time came and we all gathered at the table.

I was going to sit beside Gabriel as I did, but Nela came over and whispered in my ear.

"Wade, sorry, the right side chair is for the prince's mate. Since you won't choose, the elders have made the decision for Gabriel. So, please sit on the next seat."

"So, Valerino, do you have any plans?" Jenna asked as Gabriel spoke, "Wade, why aren't you eating anything?"

"There's nothing I can eat on this table." I said as I held my spoon in my hand.

Gabrile saw the dishes and said, "Liam, you know Wade doesn't like blood."

"Yes, but today's dishes are requested by the elders for the princess. And--"

"Liam, even if I do marry Valerino, Wade is my fated mate. That is not changing."

"I'll arrange the food right away."

Liam was about to leave, but Valerino stood up.

"Gabriel, I'm a princess, and I am second to none. Even if he is, close your relationship with him. Then call me over. I'll be in my room. Guests, please forgive me. Please send my dinner to my room."

"Close!" Everyone spoke in unison.

"Close, means to seal the relationship forever and never mention it again. That's a rule we vampires follow, if fated mates have other mates." Waren said, explaining.

As Valerino left, Gabriel also got up and left. Then one by one, everyone left, until I was alone in the hall. Feeling frustrated, I walked out and went to the mountain.

"Moon Goddess! Moon Goddess!" I called out.

"Child, you should know the Moon Goddess won't come just like that." A goddess spoke as she came out of the den.

"And you are?" I asked in a curious voice.

"Artemis, Moon Goddesses patreon. Tell me, what did you come for?" Artemis asked in a frank voice.

"Goddess, then you know about mine and Gabriel's fate. You should also know about princess Valerino, then."

"Valerino? She is Gabriel's cousin. But her relationship is far enough to be able to marry Gabriel. But, her coming here is not so simple. But unless you make the decision, I can't help you any further. So, what is your answer?" Goddess Artemis asked me in a frank voice.
