Chapter 119 Valerino’s Relationship
Wade's POV
I was pacing in my room as it had been days since Gabriel came to our room. Ever since Valerino came, he's been sleeping in the guest room. I recalled what he said, "Wade, it's best if she doesn't find out we're fated mates until I get married with her. After marriage, I'll tell her. Valerino is a sensible girl. When I tell her, she'll understand and then, we can be as before, only I will be her's in the open."
I ruffled my hair in anger as I got a call from Senior Alpha.
I knocked on the door. "Senior Alpha? It's me, Wade."
"Come in." His voice came through the door.
"Senior Alpha, you called for me?" I was concerned.
"Wade, what are you doing?" Seeing my confused look, he sighs. "Wade, first we had to convince you to accept Gabriel, now we have to convince you to marry him?"
"Senior Alpha, I think you don't know. Valerino--"
"Valerino has been selected by the elders for Gabriel because you have not accepted Gabriel and you are not marrying him." Senior Alpha said in a frank voice.
"Senior Alpha, I have accepted him as a mate, what more and two males marrying, I mean--"
"Wade, Gabriel is the prince of Shadow Outlaws. Shadow Outlaws is a prominent rare blood shadow ruling vampire clan. It's only viable for the prince to have a princess, otherwise other packs will keep coveting his princess place. But if he was married to you, the elders wouldn't dare choose a mate for him."
"Senior Alpha, Gabriel is getting ready for the wedding. I don't think it matters who his wedded mate is." I said in a frank voice.
"Wade, take this from an elder who's seen a lot in his life. The affection I see in his eyes for you, is what I have for Mrs. Alpha. What Dustin has for Jenna. But, the look he has in his eyes for Valerino is what I see in the eyes of Dane for Jenna. Are you understanding anything, what I'm trying to say?"
"Oh, that? Yes, Valerino is his cousin, but Nelo said, 'They're not blood related. And also far related so marrying is--"
"WADE! I really don't know what to do. If you were a child, I really would have slapped you."
"Senior Alpha, why are you saying so?" I said, confused.
"Wade, when you have a mate, and you're forced to accept another mate, I can't tell how the heart feels, It's like literally ripping inside. I can tell when Jennifer was born. My father, then alpha, told me to marry another female as Mrs Alpha gave birth to a female. I even got engaged, but by the time Mrs Alpha got pregnant with Dane, and father personally broke the engagement when Vivian said, 'the baby was a boy. I can see the same pain in his eyes. You can ask Dustin as well. After all, Julia gave him the same pain."
"Senior Alpha, I'm taking my leave." I said and came out. 
As I came out, the air was windy but my body was numb. I couldn't feel anything as I kept walking.
"So, Prince Gabriel is really going to marry that female princess?"
I overheard two wolves speaking.
"Yes, and the wedding is set for three days from now." The other one said.
"So, Wade, what about him?" The first one asked.
"This was bound to happen. After all, Wade never really accepted Gabriel, so it's for Gabriel's best." The other one said.
I walked off from there and stopped in front of Nelo's home.
"Come on in." That's vampire's. They can sense what's going on.
"Nelo, you know about my situation, you're the cardinal. Tell me." I asked in a questioning voice.
"Wade (Nelo poured tea as he sat down), there's no doubt Gabriel only loves you. And this has nothing to do with being his fated mate. Wade, I may not be as old as Gabriel, but I've been with him for a hundred years. I can vow. Gabriel has never had a female let alone a mate. Wade, from what's going on, I can tell you very clearly. Once Valerino marries, he will have to consummate, and then once they have a child, you will be history. Now, if you really do love Gabriel, then stand up and take your rightful place."
"Yes, I didn't realize this before, but now I have. I even undermined Senior Alpha's words. But now, I know what to do. Nelo, I'll take my leave."
I went straight over to the altar of the Moon Goddess, and then offered the incense. Then I went to the river and released the bond raft. The bond raft is a ritual we Bloodvenom wolves follow when we choose our eternal mate. 
"Now, be it Velorina or any other female, I won't let them come in my way. Gabriel, I'm coming."
I walked off back home. As I went inside, I saw Valerino was going to serve food to Gabriel.
"Stop! Gabriel is allergic to almonds. Don't you know that?" I spoke as I walked over to the table. "Didn't you say, you're his cousin sister?"
"Yes, I am, but I never bothered with what he ate or didn't. So, I didn't know. Wade, if you care for him so much--"
"That's what I wanted to tell. I'll marry Gabriel and--"
"Not me? That's what you want to say, isn't it? Wade, I really didn't want to marry Gabriel in the first place. But, if I didn't agree, the elders would have gotten another female to marry, and she would never give way. Actually, my intention was, whenever you are ready, I would leave, but now that you've made the decision, I can become the sister, I really am."
"Valerino, I thought I would have to fight with you. But, you've changed your perspective." 
"Wade, though I am stepping out of your way, but wolves and vampire's, the wedding's are different. How do we solve that? Remember, the elders will attend as well." Valerino said in a frank voice.
