Chapter Twenty four: She deserved to be punished to death

“Eat from the fucking food and stop delaying already!!!” Tyler yelled frightening the maid even more as she shakingly too up Sophie’s spoon and dipped it into the food. As the maid slowly lifted the spoon Sophie gaze did not fit once leave Catherine whose expression was very bitter.

But Sophie became more impatient as the maid was becoming very slow.

“Eat it already!!” Sophie scoffed about to push the food into the maids mouth when she suddenly left the spoon to fall to ground.

“I am sorry but I cant eat it alpha… I never meant to do anything harmful to Freya.” the maid said nervously.

“So you poisoned her?” Catherine blunted out from behind them making Sophie scoff internally.

“I swear I didn't… I am not sure if the good was even really poisoned all I did was serve the food just I was instructed to.” the maid said to Tyler as she clearly wasn't ready to see Tyler in his angry mode.

“Who sent it to you??”Tyler asked the maid as he slowly walked up to the Maid and the first thing he did was land a heavy slap on her face making everyone shout and move back including Catherine but Sophie didn't move an instead the memories of Joe he had always maltreated her came back, making her feel sudden pity for the maid.

“I am asking again who sent you!!”Tyler asked again about hit the maid when Sophie rushed and held his hand.

“Dont hit her anymore.” Sophie whispered to Tyler who already looked very angry.

“She tried to kill you!!!” Tyler yelled his gaze still on the maid who was already bleeding all over.

“Killing her for something that haven't happened won't help in anyway.”Sophie said to Tyler hoping whatever he says would ring a bell of realization in his head.

“She deserved to be killed for even doing that.” Tyler said.

“You would punish her but not by slapping her to death.” Sophie warned as she placed Tyler hands down finally cooling him down.

“Lets go to your bedroom.” Sophie said to Tyler who followed her quietly and just when they are about to step out of the dining room Tyler turned back to the guards who were staring at them in fright mostly at the fact that he just used one slap to dismantle her face.

“Prepare the maid and her accomplice for execution… make sure you get to the bottom of this before return.” Tyler said before finally leaving not even waiting for the guards to reply.

“I am sorry you had to see that.” Tyler apologized to Sophie as she escorted him to his room but she was far from being in the same reality as he was as she couldn't stop remember how she had been gutted multiple times with that same hand and never for once complained, but now watching someone else pass through that pain was something she couldn't bear to see.

“You don't have to apologize to me… you should just be really careful who you raise you hands to not everyone can keep quiet about it like Sophie always did.”Sophie replied loudly unaware the Tyler would hear her.

“How did you get to the conclusion that I always hurtled Sophie?” Tyler asked as they both entered his bedroom.

“Even a child is aware of what you did to her so be careful how you act.” Sophie warned while all Tyler did was chuckle.

“Is that a threat??” He asked.

“No I am just having ears around the palace and I heard you haven’t served the punishment for what you did.” Sophie changed the point of view of everything.

“And who said things like that?” Tyler asked but all Sophie did was smile before seating beside him.

“Why are you curious? Don’t you know people who think love you don’t love you.” Sophie began.

“I must have been poisoned because of how close you make me to your Heart and I know you are very much aware of who tries to poison me but you are only trying to cover up for her.” Sophie continued as she noticed Tyler shoulder tense which made her chuckle…. This want he was very much aware of who did this but decided to pour the blame on the maid alone.

“She would never talk and I only kept foolish about it because you didn’t end up getting poisoned.” Tyler said holding Sophie’s hand in his tightly.

“I was scared I might lose to you too.” He murmured confusing Sophie yet again.

“What do you mean lose me too?” Sophie asked girl Tyler just kept quiet staring at Sophie’s hand in his.

“You would never understand no matter how I explain it to you.” Tyler whispered a tear drop falling from his cheek, Sophie had seen Tyler in so many situations but had never seen him shade a tear or be this vulnerable.

“To be honest with you, I miss her so much …I always missed her every morning I wake up.” Tyler said puzzling Sophie still.

“Who is this person you missed so much?”sophie asked.

“I don’t want to act vulnerable with you but you are still the only one I trust and can tell all this to.” Tyler said like he was about tell Sophie his biggest secret.

“You can always share your problems and burden with me because I would always be here to ease your pain and troubled heart. Sophie said to Tyler as she tried to sound as appeasing and realiable as she can can be.

“I know I am not supposed to feel this way but for some weird reason I do.” Tyler continued making Sophie frustrated on how he was beating wound the bush.

“Just tell me already Tyler.” Sophie pleaded.

“I miss her.” Tyler said tearing up.

“You miss who?”

“I miss Sophie…i miss my wife so much and I always prayed that she was having the peace of mind she deserved where ever she was.”
