Chapter Twenty Three: You can't kill me so easily

Sophie yelled loudly only for her to return back to reality and she is still just about to open the door, did she just see few minutes into the future?

Does this mean Catherine is about to end her life right now? Sophie was confused and at the same time curioto know what she had just seen it felt like she was actually there and got stabbed for real.

After few seconds on contemplating whether or not she should go she summoned the courage and opened the door and to her surprise Catherine was standing there just like it had happened in her vision with the exact same stare.

But this time around Sophie won’t make the mistake of walking away as that would be Catherine chance to stab her again.

“What do you want?” Sophie asked clearly aware of what would happen next.

“ you bitch.” Catherine repeated and slowly Catherine saw her resurfacing with the knife from her vision and before Catherine could do anything Sophie pulled the knife away

From her hand throwing it down the stairs,Catherine stood in utter shock unable to process what had just happened… she couldn’t believe Sophie could prevent that stab and even took the knife from her like she had know it would happen.

“What…” Catherine stammered unaware of what to say.

“Are you surprised that killing me wasn’t as easy as you had thought it would be?” Sophie asked with a wicked smirk.

“Don’t be too surprised…. You forgot what your seer had told you?” Sophie added moving closer to a stunned Catherine, moving her lips closer to Catherine’s ear.

“You can’t kill me sp easily… I am nothing like the previous Luna you killed in this palace and was still praised for it. Next time you try to lay a finger on me I won’t throw te weapon away but make sure for place a long lasting mark on you.”Sophie whispered before walking away, deep within her she was very frightened that she just kissed death but was much more happier at the fact that her hybrid powers were slowly resurfacing.

The next morning the maids came to wake Sophie up just like they always did but Sophie drove them all aware as she couldn’t bear to see their deceitful face as the words of betrayal they shared between themselves kept ringing in her head, after getting ready alone she decided to join Tyler and Catherine for breakfast but was most definitely not going to make them have a peaceful breakfast.

After putting on one of the dresses Tyler had sent to her she stared at her reflection on the mirror and was still seeing her actual face in the new hybrid body of hers.

As she stepped out of her quarters and elegantly walked towards the dining hall the maids couldn’t help but whisper amoungst themselves, to Sophie she didn’t care what they would say as they could all whisper amoungst themselves for all eternity.

She arrived at the dining hall and Catherine who saw her first scoffed but Tyler welcomed her in with a wide smile as she sat close to him.

“You look beautiful, I love the fact that you already loo so much and act more like a queen that position would suit you so well.” Tyler complimented her but all Sophie did was frown as the maids began to put down different delicacy into her plate, but Sophie knew the kind of plans that ran through her head as she stared at Catherine kinly with a grin.

Just as the maid was through with dishing out her breakfast Sophie cleared her throat ready to cause commotion.

“What’s wrong Freya??” Tyler asked but Sophie still snubbed his words, if he really loved the Freya he sees he won’t get angry and just plead with her to talk.

“Are you going to leave just like that?” Sophie referred to the maid who tense up immediately.

“Of course she is free to go!” Catherine yelled.

“She isn’t.” Sophie replied angrily.

“Freya talk to me what’s wrong? Why are you in such a bad mood today?….why do you want the maid to wait.”

The maid slowly turned around bowing her head at Sophie nervously.

“At your service miss Freya.” The maid said making Sophie scoff at how they were suddenly acting so respectful to her in Tyler’s presence .

“Now she is here,what do you want from her.” Catherine questioned but Sophie still calmly stared at Catherine.

“Take a spoonful fro the food you had just serve me.” Sophie said suddenly making Tyler more interested in what was about to happen and the other maid standing not too far from them whisper few words to themselves.

“Miss Freya I can’t do that.. it would be very disrespectful of me to eat from your food.” The maid said nervously.

“You must eat from it!” Sophie yelled.

“Freya!!! Stop this what’s wrong!!” Tyler yelled bac standing up from his seat.

“They tried to poison me!!” Sophie yelled a tear drop falling from her eyes as it had turned out that she was holding in the pain she felt.

“That can’t be.” Tyler said staring at Sophie in concern, while Catherine who was still seated was already shaking out of nervousness.

“I swear I didn’t poison the dish.” The maid please but Sophie wasn’t to listen to any word they said.

“Eat from the meal if you didn’t try to poison me!!” Sophie still exclaimed in agony as all the other maids could see the anger clearly on her face.

“How are you sure you were poisoned by me?” The maid said suddenly feeling confident but when Sophie’s glare shifted towards Catherine, she was shaking badly as her gaze was only on her breakfast.

“I saw you.” Sophie said calmly.

“Alpha, miss Freya is just trying to cause commotion, I never for once thought of poisoning anyone not talk less of Freya.” The maid directed her word to Tyler.

“Then eat from it.” Tyler said making Sophie smile in contentment.
