Chapter 99:
Chapter 101:
Alley POV:
Ambrosia and I were trying to piece together a relaxing picnic but something just wasn’t right. Maybe we should wait until everyone else is here before we start doing this. We honestly had so much to do and I wanted to pay another visit to Tyler. I still had to get everyones memories back and I somehow wondered if I could do them all at once. It seems like that might be easier to do if I could assign a dark witch to each one and get them to untangle everything. “Alley? Hello! Earth to Alley!” Ambrosia yelled. I blinked a few times and looked at her. Leia was standing there as well. When did she get here? Jeez I must have been really deep in my own thoughts. “Sorry, just thinking is all. What’s going on?” I asked, looking between them. “It’s Pythia, she’s okay and resting now but we might have a problem.” Leia answered and now she had my full attention.
“What is going on with her?” Ambrosia questioned. Her shoulders had tensed a little. I loved how close the two of them were. “She has been pulling the black magic from AJ but it’s a lot stronger. She isn’t confident that she will be able to beat her mother when the time comes.” Leia answered, I could see the frustration in her eyes. Her green eyes always dulled a bit. “Why on earth would she think she can’t beat her? She is incredibly strong.” I said. “She said she felt how strong her mother is, and it is stronger than she is but I am willing to bet that it has something to do with that Eli kid. We need to somehow remove him from the situation to cut that link. Ambrosia, do you think that you can somehow get into his head?” Leia asked. “I mean I could try, it’ll be harder if she is using dark magic to hide him.” Ambrosia replied. “You think you could get into Tylers memories or Pythias mom again? Maybe if you had a little more detail we can help figure it all out.” Leia offered.
There was always a way, between the three of us no one was really stronger and if we could somehow come together then she doesn’t stand a chance. “Why don’t you go back and check on Pythia, I’m going to bring all their memories back in one go. Ambrosia, you go talk to Xander and your family to see what they think. There has to be a way to do something before we ultimately kick off a war.” I said as I ran my fingers over my face. We’ve come so far in a short amount of time but I had this feeling that time was no longer on our side with anything. Even though we wanted to take enough time to get it all done, we simply couldn’t any longer. “Jack, Sammie I need you both.” I said quickly through our link. If I was going to do this in one go, then I would need their help as well. “I’ve already been doing the research.” Sammie said as she walked through the door with a book in one hand and little potion bottles in the other.
I tilted my head a little confused as to what she figured out. “So they need to be in a deep sleep which is what these are for..” Sammie said, holding up the little bottles. “When they are asleep you can link their minds together and at once rid them of the dark magic that is blocking the memories.” Sammie added. “How do I link their minds together? That is something I’ve never done before.” I questioned. “With these.” Lillith announced from the door. “This is an elixir, well a test really. If it works for them then it should work for us witches as well. No offense or anything but we need our own line of communication that is faster than a phone.” Lillith chuckled. “How is she?” I asked. I knew Leia was going to check on her but I knew Lillith would actually know. “Alley.. I’m not even going to lie. With her mother harnessing that kid's power she is a lot stronger than Pythia. I’ve never seen anything like it. When she did this with Leia the magic seeped back into the ground naturally. This.. It turned everything black. I went back and checked and it killed the surrounding plants. This type of magic is no joke.” Lillith answered and I felt the hair on my skin prickle.
We needed to figure out a way to sever her line to him. Kidnapping could be a thing, but there is no way we could get in without destruction and we still didn’t know who the wolves were being led by. “She has us. She isn’t alone but she has her light. That alone would take them all out.” I said, shaking my head. “She still doesn’t know how to control it. She has been practicing with Lucinda though but we have to find a way to get that kid. I’ve got to get back, those kids will be out for a while after all of this. Come by and see Pythia.” Lillith sighed before she disappeared. “I need you two to start thinking of ideas. Go to Ambrosias, see if a wolf or something has been spotted. Maybe I can dig deeper into Tylers head, he is probably our best bet.” I said. “I think you should get into his head. He was over there with them, he had to have been at one point in time. Once we know who is over them then we can go in for an attack. We don’t have anymore time to waste.” Jack nearly growled.
All of us were wanting this over and there is no amount of training that will honestly prepare us. “You do what you need to do my white witch queen, I shall handle the memories.” Atheas voice rang out. I turned to see her standing behind me with a bright smile. “I wasn’t expecting you here, is everything alright?” I asked. “For now, I’m afraid Jack is correct. You are running out of time and they are planning. That is all I can say.” Athea answered, her smile fading from her face and it made my heart sink. She couldn’t tell us fully what was going on but the look on her face right now was more than enough. “Alright, I’ll go and see Tyler, I need Stephen first. I’ll see you guys soon enough.” I smiled before I teleported to the coven house. “This way, I’m assuming you’re looking for Stephen?” Stony questioned and I nodded. I followed him down the hallway and through doors to see Stephen and his parents sitting around his brother. “Alley, dear come here.” Abby called out without looking over her shoulder. I whispered a thank you to Stony and walked forward. I could see AJ had his eyes closed, his breathing was even and calm. “Is he sleeping?” I asked. “For now, what is going on with Pythia?” Abby questioned. “Well, long story short.. Her mother is harnessing power through the child and because of that she is stronger. Her magic is stronger and right now I need to get in Tylers head while Sammie and Jack are at Ambrosias so see if anyone spotted wolves yet. Also Athea is here helping and she issued a warning.” I answered, the last part of my sentence turned into a whisper.
All three of them turned to look at me, “We don’t have much time left.” I spoke, answering the questions bouncing around in their minds. “Let’s go. If Athea is saying that then we need to get a move on somehow.” Stephen replied, standing to his feet and reaching for my hand. I slid my hand in his and smiled at the familiar sparks, teleporting us in front of Tylers cell where Alex was waiting. “Who is in charge of the wolves?” I questioned. Tyler was sitting with his back against the wall, he raised his hooded eyes to mine and smiled. “Someone you all have fought before.” Tyler coughed. “How can we trust what he says?” Alex whispered. “You can do what you want to. I’ll die soon enough anyways. You can always jump in my head if you’d like but Pythia won’t just have to worry about her mother. Remember Bartholomew?” Tyler questioned with a slick smile. No way, we all watched him die and burn. “That isn’t possible. She burned his soul as well as his beasts.” Stephen answered, nearly echoing my own thoughts. “She forgot one, his beta. He’s a mean asshole too. I’m sure she will enjoy taking him on. In my opinion he is worse than Bartholomew.” Tyler laughed.
I swung open his cell door and stormed over to him. Grabbing him on the sides of his head and diving straight in, opening the link for everyone else to see as well. Images flashed around, he was telling the truth. Black hair, tall, overly muscular. He has a scar down the side of his face. His beast is no better, my guess was triple the size of us. He is training them brutally, I can see the exhaustion on all their faces. I stepped back gasping for air. “He will die.” I muttered before turning my back and walking out. This was something none of us had expected but at the very least we knew who we are dealing with and now, we can formulate a plan to take him down even though it won’t be easy…
