Chapter 98:
Chapter 100:
Leia POV:
It was hard watching everything through the little window on the door. I remembered it all too well and I knew how badly it hurt. When Pythia and Lillith disappeared I knew she had taken her to the forest. I had left Stephen and his family in the other room, I didn’t want to be asked any questions. Might seem a little selfish but right now I just couldn’t do it. I watched as they cleaned and wrapped him just like they had done me before I walked in. “Ah, Leia. How are you?” Natalie asked as she stood to her feet. “I am well. How is he holding up?” I asked, looking down at him. His eyes were closed, my guess is he passed out. “The best that he can. Are the others here?” Natalie asked. “Yes, they are in the room now.” I replied. “How are they doing? I’m sure this must be a shock to them as well.” Natalie sighed. “They are anxious, curious about him. It will all work out the way it is supposed to. They will all need time to get back to normal.. If that is even possible.” I whispered.
This will probably take a while for them to adjust to. I wondered what would happen between him and Stephen. If he was supposed to be the alpha what does that mean for the Blackwood pack? Truthfully he already had his own little mini pack he has been watching over for years now but still. Things would change and I would hope for the better. “Alright, I’ve got to go get more wraps and stuff, I’ll be back shortly.” Natalie said. She patted my shoulder on her way out but I found myself stuck in this spot. It was eerie in a way, having been through this myself but now seeing it done to someone else is just.. Shocking in a way. “He will need you to guide him.” Unas soft voice rang out in my head and I smiled. “I know, but he will need time too.” I replied. I could see his hand twitch and I knew he was awake the entire time right then. “Are you going to open your eyes or are you going to continue to act like you are sleeping?” I questioned.
I heard him huff before he opened his eyes. He looked just like Stephen. “Who are you?” AJ asked weakly. I sat down next to him. “I’m Leia. Formalities can wait until later.” I replied with a smile. For a moment he looked confused. “You’re safe here, you know.” I whispered. “I know, just some things they said.. You have been through this.” AJ replied and I took a deep breath. “I have, twice actually. It’s not very fun and it will take you some time to heal. You’re an alpha though so you might heal up faster than I did.” I assured him. I wasn’t really sure how it all worked between the different wolves. “That guy got you too then?” AJ pressed and I nodded. “Years ago he did. We thought he died in the woods but we were wrong. It’s a long story, right now they need to get you and the others better.” I replied. I didn’t want to be the one to tell him that his real family is just down the hall. “So how long does this take?” AJ asked pulling me from my thoughts. “Depends on how much is in your system. I obviously can’t check because I have a wolf and I don’t want to go back through this but judging by what I see you’ll be going through this for another day or two.” I answered.
I could see the realization spread across his face. “So what else is happening? I heard them talking, you know.” I froze at his words. What was I supposed to tell him? Like, oh yeah.. You were stolen as a kid and even though they hunted high and low for you they never found you but yet here you are.. Surprise! I could facepalm myself right now. “I don’t really think that is for me to tell.” I replied. I thought it was good enough to say back to him. Before he could say another word Pythia and Lillith appeared next to us. Pythia looked visibly drained and I jumped to my feet. “No need, my true warrior, I am well. Stay with him while I go tend to our.. Guests please.” Pythia croaked. I nodded my head and shifted my gaze towards Lillith who smiled slightly at me. Even though everything in me was screaming to stay with her, I respected her word but that didn’t mean I wasn’t worried.
I watched her slowly walk out of the room and I turned towards Lillith. “She will be fine Leia, she just needs to rest a little bit.” Lilith assured me. “You know she can’t do that everytime.” I sighed. She would though, and I knew she would. “Lillith!” Tye roared, making us look at the door. She shook her head and walked out before I started laughing. Someone told on Pythia and now Tye is making her rest. Good. She needed it. “What is a true warrior?” AJ asked and I looked down on him. “Long story short, I’m the best warrior, fastest and strongest. My my Brandon is the only one who can match me so together we train the others. Also Pythia and I are bound together. I am her warrior no matter what, she is mine to protect at all costs. We just figured it out though so we are still learning. I can sense her emotions and everything.” I answered with a smile. It was a true honor actually. “That is so badass. Where is your mate? I don’t think I have met him.” AJ asked. “He will be around soon enough. He is with the others at the moment. Finding you and the others was our top priority and now getting your memories along with the others memories back will be the priority, and for you to heal.” I replied.
“How would I get those back? I mean surely it isn’t going to be that easy.” AJ said. “Actually it is that easy. Alley, she is the great white witch which means she holds all five elements and her magical abilities are amazing. She has the power to mind jump so what she would do is get inside your head and see what is going on. We did the same thing to Ambrosia and her brother Xander. Black magic was used to suppress memories so they went in and cleared it all out. She will guide you along the way.” I answered. The doors opened and I turned to see Stephen and his parents standing in the doorway. I walked over to them and offered a small smile. “How is he?” Stephen asked as he looked over my shoulder. “He will be fine, it’ll take some time to heal but he is… Curious.” I replied. Stephen nodded his head and I looked at his parents. “They said not to overwhelm him.” Abby whispered. “Answer the small questions for now. You’ll have all the time in the world for everything else but he needs to know the basics at the very least.” I replied rubbing her arm.
This couldn’t be easy for them and I couldn’t imagine if something like this had happened to Sandy. “Will you help him Leia?” Kevin asked pulling me from my thoughts. “Of course I will, whatever you guys need is what I will do but for now.. I think it’s best that I give you guys some time alone. I won’t be far.” I smiled before I walked out of the door. I knew they wouldn’t give him all of the details just yet so I felt comfortable leaving them while I go and check on Pythia. Her emotions are all over the place and it was hitting me like a ton of bricks. I found my way to her room and knocked on the door before I heard her. When I opened it she was laying in the bed with Tye sitting next to her. “I need to go check on the others. Leia stay with her please. She is not to get out of this bed until Julie comes here and looks her over.” Tye said sternly. I nodded my head, Pythia smiled at me and I could see how exhausted she was. I also knew that this time pulling all of that from him scared her and I didn’t like that.
When Tye left the room I crawled in the bed with her. “What has you so scared?” I questioned. She looked up at the ceiling and blinked a few times. “With Ambrosia and Xander it was different. Penny was a strong witch but not stronger than me. The magic my mother is using.. I,- She.. Leia she is strong.. Stronger than me and I felt it.” Pythia whispered as tears streamed down her face. “She is not stronger than you, she is using a multitude of things and well you can too.” I replied softly. “I don’t know how to beat her.” Pythia said. “That is what you have us for, she is alone and probably pulling from others, that boy.. Eli. I am betting it has something to do with him but you have Alley and Ambrosia plus all of us who are gifted. We would never let anything happen to you.” I replied, and I meant it. Her mother might be strong but she is not stronger than Pythia, she isn’t stronger than any of us and she knows that. She has to be getting it from somewhere else. I had a feeling this was just a tactic that her mother used to get in her head and make her feel weak. I needed to speak with Alley and Ambrosia but I’ll wait until Pythia is sleeping.
I wiped her tears away and covered her all the way up, the exhaustion was too much for her and shortly after she drifted to sleep. Now it was time to come up with a different plan of attack
