Chapter 49 - The Fight Begins

**Hailey's P.O.V.**

When we get the mindlink that the Triad is moving toward the packhouse, we all prepare for the worst. I know some of our group wants us to summon Satan right away, and that would be the easy thing to do. However, that wouldn't be the most efficient. I meant what I said earlier. If we make an example out of the Triad, it will deter others from coming for us.

I hold Dante's hand as we wait. Kerri is next to me with Tony, and Stephanie is next to Dante with Ellis. Everyone else is spread throughout the packhouse.

*"They're all coming toward the front door. The demon and monster made themselves smaller. They're not the smartest people because they're not being quiet. You should hear them in a few seconds. We're all heading toward the back door to come in that way."* Darius mindlinks us. Just as he predicted, we can hear them as they approach.

"I really think we should have all gone to separate doors. It doesn't make sense for us all to go in the same way." One of the male voices asks. I guess he thinks he's being quiet.

"Will you shut up? Like hell am I letting either of you idiots go somewhere I can't see you. You've already tried to trick me once; you won't live to do it again." The female, who I'm assuming is The Darkness, sounds pissed. Wow, it looks like there's trouble in paradise. Why am I thinking about Davina's song at a time like this?

We hear them coming onto the porch, and I roll my eyes. If we weren't expecting them, they would have woken us up with all the noise they're making. Dante leans over and kisses me.

*"Don't leave my side."* He mindlinks while our lips are still connected.

*"I won't. I love you."* I mindlink back, looking into his beautiful blue eyes.

*"I love you too."* He kisses me again, and we hear the front door opening. It's almost comical watching the three of them try to come in at the same time. For a minute, I thought they were going to get stuck, but The Darkness shoves the other two out of the way. When they stumble in, they stop and look around. It takes a good ten seconds for any of them to realize we're standing here watching them.

"Hand over the keeper, and we'll let the rest of you live." The Darkness demands. We look at each other and begin laughing.

"Are you kidding? You look like the three stooges coming in here, and you expect me to walk over and let you take me away? I don't think so." I squeeze Dante's hand.

"How dare you speak to us like that? We're the most feared Triad from hell." Ayin bellows as his red eyes flash with anger. I see a little light and want to groan. I knew Davina wouldn't be able to stay away. Ayin, Therion, and The Darkness begin coughing, and the fairy appears at my side.

"What did you do?" I ask her. She giggles as we watch the three of them try to catch their breath.

"I just blew a little dust on them that makes them feel like they're suffocating." She replies. Ayin looks toward us and points at Davina.

"You. I'm going to kill you." He yells as he starts to move toward us, but The Darkness grabs him.

"Stop. Remember why we're here; the fairy isn't worth our time. You need to come with us now, or I'll use my magic on all of you." I look at the witch as the six of us join hands, and Davina moves to stand behind us.

"What kind of name is The Darkness? Were your parents so disappointed in you that they didn't even want to pick a name, so they called you The Darkness because that's what you put in their hearts? I have another question. Do Ayin and Therion double-team you when you have sex, or do they take turns? Is that why you walk funny?" Davina giggles behind me while the witch's mouth falls open.

"Why would you think I would have sex with these two cretins? I don't have parents; I was created by Lucifer. Why do you think Satan is trying to get rid of us? He and Lucifer are always trying to overpower one another. Never mind all that; we're here to take you, and we want your sisters to come, too." As she begins to move toward us, we use our ability to make them float. They're so caught off guard that they keep spinning and trying to put their feet on the ground.

"Put us down now," Ayin yells.

"No. We may not be able to kill you, but we can fight you." I yell back at him. Jessi, Rmina, and the lycan warriors join us on one side. Meanwhile, Kaida, Luka, Eldia, Craig, Ozzy, and Brandie join us on the other side.

"You can try to fight us, but you won't win." The Darkness says while trying to stand.

"Right now, it looks like you're a puppet being manipulated by strings. Whoever your puppet master is, they have a terrible job because you three are the ugliest I've ever seen." Jessi says, pulling out her sword.

"Your sword can't do anything to us," Ayin says. Jessi smirks as she walks over to them. Even though she may not be able to kill them, when she waves her sword, they try to get away from her.

"I may not be able to kill you, but you're still trying to run like little bitches. Why don't I stab all three of you at once and turn you into a kabob." She says as she touches each of their midsections with her sword. When I think she's about to do what she said, she turns and walks away.

"Okay, that's enough playing," I say as we let them fall to the ground. We rush toward them before they can get their bearings.

My sisters and I, with our mates, go for The Darkness. Jessi and her crew attack Therion. Kaida, Eldia, Ozzy, and their mates attack Ayin.

The witch tries to use her magic on us, but it doesn't work. It feels like we're deflecting it because I can feel it, but it's not doing anything. I kick her hard in the face, and she flies backward, but not far. I know I didn't hurt her, but I was going for shock value.

"You're going to pay for that." She floats about a foot up and claps her hands. The ground begins shaking, making us all fall down. The Darkness floats over and attempts to grab me. Dante grabs her robe, swings her around, and throws her in the opposite direction. When he helps me up, I see her ugly face contorted with rage.

I quickly glance at the other two groups. Jessi is stabbing Therion repeatedly while Davina blows dust in his face. I think the others are just watching until I realize Rmina is using a spell on him, so he can't move. So basically, the men are watching while the three women have fun with a monster.

When I look at those attacking Ayin, it's pretty much the same thing. Kaida is blowing fire on him, and Eldia is using her speed and kicking him as she runs so fast he can't see her. Brandie, who I know has a lot of rage from what they did to her, is using a dagger and slicing Ayin open in random places. The cuts heal quickly, but that's not the point. Right now, we're kicking their asses.

"Are you ready to give up?" Kerri yells at the witch as she hovers over us. I can tell she's pissed.

"Never. We're done playing your childish games." The Darkness waves her hands, and suddenly, the room is filled with wind. It's swirling around us, and as I try to reach for Dante, he's blown away from me. Everyone is blown away except me and my sisters. When the wind stops, I can't move.

"What did you do?" I yell at her, trying to move, but it feels like I'm stuck in concrete. The witch moves toward us with a smirk.

"We let you think you actually had a chance, but you don't. Now it's time for you three to come with us."
