Chapter 50 - The Battle Ends
**Hailey's P.O.V.**
Stephanie, Kerri, and I grab each other's hands as The Darkness continues to make the wind blow to keep the others from us. We run toward The Darkness. Kerri and Stephanie pull my hands and throw me toward her. I fly through the air letting my feet connect with her face. The witch was hovering over the ground, so she flew backward from the impact. Kerri and Stephanie attack Ayin and Therion while they're busy watching The Darkness. When the witch straightens herself out, she looks at me, furious.
"Why are you wasting your time fighting us when you know you can't win?" She screams. I glance at my sisters, who shift into their wolves as they fight with Ayin and Therion.
"We may not win, but we don't give up either." I shift into my wolf, Neoma, and she jumps toward The Darkness. The witch tries to move out of the way, but Neoma is faster. She bites her hand, removing a couple of her fingers and spitting them onto the ground.
"You stupid little mutt." The Darkness raises her hands like she's trying to place a spell, but nothing happens. Neoma leaps into the air, grabs the witch by the neck, and pulls her to the ground. The wind is still blowing, but it's not affecting us. Neoma shifts back to me, and I punch The Darkness in the face over and over. She acts like she doesn't know what to do at first. I guess she's not used to getting her ass beat.
"I'm hanging on to your hair. When she stops the wind, the six of you join hands and call Satan while I distract them." When I hear Davina's voice in my ear, I almost scream. I thought she had been blown away with the others. I don't say anything; I just nod. I get off the witch and get my sisters.
The wind suddenly stops when The Darkness clutches her throat as she chokes. Therion and Ayin begin choking as well. I know this is our only opportunity. Dante, Tony, and Ellis run to where we are, and we join hands. We connect with Satan, and within seconds, the ground is shaking.
"Noooooo." The Darkness screams as Satan emerges from a hole right in the middle of the packhouse.
"There's no use crying now. You have caused enough havoc on Earth; it's time for you to return to hell where you belong. This time I will ensure you're not able to sneak out." Satan grabs The Darkness and tosses her into the hole. Ayin and Therion try to run away, but he gets both of them and throws them into the hole as well. I feel like a failure. We should have been able to do more. Satan turns to us and smiles.
"Well done. I was watching you fight the Triad, and despite what the witch said about not being able to do anything, you scared them. She only started using magic when she thought you were going to defeat them. If any other demons come, please don't wait so long to call for me. I knew you three would be just as stubborn as your mother. There shouldn't be anyone coming for you in the near future. It has spread throughout the realms that the Moon Goddess daughters are not to be messed with." I look at Kerri and Stephanie, who look just as shocked as I am.
"I didn't think we could do anything to the demons," I say as everyone else joins us.
"Most people can't, but you three are Selene's daughters, and you're at the Blue Moon pack," Satan replies.
"What does being here have to do with anything?" Dante asks, putting his arm around me.
"Your mom didn't tell you?" Satan asks, looking at me and my sisters.
"Tell us what?" I ask him.
"The packlands of Blue Moon are sacred werewolf grounds. The first werewolves were from these lands, and the grounds have their own magic protecting those who live here." He replies. I can't believe it. So that's why Mom had us mate with members of this pack.
"What about our parents? They were from this pack, and Malphas killed them." Ellis asks.
"I'm sorry about that. Demons are the only ones who can break through some of the natural barriers. However, I was able to get to them before their wolves had completely left." He points over our shoulders. When we turn we see Leela and Carlos walking toward us. I rub my eyes, thinking that I'm dreaming. Natalie and Ellis run to their parents.
"How are you alive?" Natalie asks as we all cry, taking turns hugging them.
"Satan saved us," Leela replies. She walks over to Jessi.
"I'm so sorry that Malphas was able to get close to Camilla." She says. Jessi throws her arms around Leela as they both cry.
"It's not your fault. He was a demon. I'm so glad you're here." Jessi says, hugging Carlos too. I turn back to Satan, who's smiling.
"What about Allison and her parents?" I ask.
"It was too late for them; they were evil inside and out. They're exactly where they need to be. Now I'm going to go take care of the Triad. Take care of yourselves. Davina, if I never see you again, it will be too soon." Satan shudders when he looks at the fairy, who starts giggling as he jumps into the hole, and it closes up as though it was never there.
"Davina, one of these days, you're going to have to tell us about the time you visited Satan," I tell the fairy. She winks at me.
"That's a story in itself. Maybe I can tell everyone about my adventures one day, but not today." She hugs Jock, and he grins at her.
"As much fun as this has been, I think we're going to get cleaned up and then return to the palace," Jessi says as Rmina brings Camilla to her.
"We're going to miss you. Please come and visit us." I tell her as I kiss Camilla's cheek. The little pup giggles.
"We will, and I'm sure the king and queen would like to meet you. Maybe you should plan a trip to the palace." She replies. I look up at Dante and smile.
"That sounds great, but first, we're going on a vacation," It's time for a break from everything so we can focus on each other. Our guests leave within an hour. Dante and I don't want to waste any time. After making sure Ellis and Stephanie are okay to take over in our absence, we pack our bags and leave.
"Where are we going?" I ask him as we turn out of the driveway.
"How about the Grand Canyon? There's lots of open space we can let our wolves out to run." I take his hand and smile.
"I don't care as long as we're together and alone," I reply.
It takes us almost five hours to get there, and we find a nice hotel with a beautiful view. We check in, go to our room, and step onto the balcony. I take a deep breath of the fresh air as Dante puts his arms around me from behind.
"You're incredible." He whispers to me.
"So are you," I reply, snuggling into his arms.
"Don't try to downplay your greatness. Hailey, you were fighting demons as though it was nothing. While we were all terrified of being blown away, you and your sisters ran into battle." Dante turns me to look into my eyes. "I love you, my goddess."
He kisses me so passionately I feel my knees getting weak. When my body heats up, I think it's from the kiss, but then I realize it's something else.
"I love you too, my alpha. I hope you don't have anything planned for the next few days," I say, rubbing his cheek with my hand. Our dream is coming true.
"Why?" He asks.
"I'm in heat."
