Chapter 79 - The Unforgiving Luna
As Fred left, I found myself going up to the Terrace. It was just to get some air and maybe look at the stars but as I stood there, I couldn't help the memories that flooded my head.
I traced my fingers over the rails, remembering how I had held her against it, claiming her lips over and over again.
How she had shivered under my arms
How I couldn't wait to take her right here. To claim her all for myself and to place my mark on her pretty neck.
She was breath-taking every single time and even now, when I imagined her face in my head.
I wondered what she could be doing.
I know for a fact she was alive but I don't know if she was fine.
There was no way she would be treated well so I wondered, was she being tortured then? Is she fighting back or accepting everything?
If they were together, I'm sure Raiden would do everything to protect her. I could only hope that they were both doing well until I find them.
I tried to think once again. Where could Ezra hide them that would be so obvious I would've overlooked? It was so his style to do that.
It couldn't be his house as I had ransacked every single part of it myself. I found nothing useful.
"You're here?"
I turned around to meet an unexpected guest.
Ethan.
I turned back to my front and continued staring at the sky. Ethan joined me and we stayed that way without saying anything until after a few minutes or so.
"You miss her right?" He asked me but I just kept staring out.
"I'm here because I wanted to give you something useful but if this is how you're going to treat me then I should just leave"
I couldn't hear all of his words as my mind was occupied with thoughts of someone else so even as he turned around to leave with displeasure at my lack of response, I still didn't react.
I heard his footsteps fade away but surprisingly, he was back again in the next second.
He slammed something down in front of me and I looked to see a USB device. I gave him a questioning look.
"You'll regret it if you don't have a look and maybe come back to thank me later"
I gave a small nod and put it in my pocket, hoping to look at it later.
"Have you seen Grayson?" I asked, noticing how I haven't seen him for weeks now.
"Grayson has been acting kind of weird these days"
"How weird?" My brows furrowed together.
"He comes home covered in blood each day. The Only person he talks to is the Queen"
"Covered in blood?" I whispered, my eyes narrowing in thought but of course that didn't mean anything.
"Maybe you'll understand when you check that out"
He was referring to the USB and I gave him a small nod before he turned around to leave.
He met Fred on the way and they greeted before Fred came up with a grave expression on his face.
"Did you find him?" I asked, not looking at him.
But the silence was long and beginning to feel strange so I turned around to look at Fred. Seeing the expression on his face made me turn towards him completely.
"What is it?"
"The King wasn't in there" he announced and maybe it hadn't been like I expected.
I thought he would've been critically ill while lying on bed which was one of the reasons the queen didn't let anyone see him but it turned out not to be it.. The King was a shrewd man and I must say, strong too.
His wolf is the biggest in the whole city and I respected him for his strength but now, Fred was saying that he wasn't in the room at that moment.
Who were the guards guarding them? And the Queen.... What's he deal? She's definitely trying to hide something.
"Could something have happened to the King?" I couldn't understand why the thought had surfaced in my head just now. Either way, I was already planning out how I could use this to my advantage.
"Fred, go tell everyone the King is dead and Grayson is trying to hide it"
Wait... Grayson... ?If the King wasn't even in, how did he announce Grayson as his successor.
Was that even real or it was all a lie?
This is no dream. Something is definitely strange.
Fred was still looking at me in shock when he heard my words.
"Saying the King is dead,,, isn't it going too far a bit?"
"It is but I need to test something" I patted Fred's shoulder and whispered.
"Make sure the news gets to everyone. Make sure they believe it. Also make sure to mention Grayson to them.
"Alright" Fred agreed "What would you do after that then?"
"We'll wait and make them confess without doing much of the work.
" We are also going to ask for proof of when the King had named Grayson the successor.
If he can't prove it, then of course that wouldn't belong to him. He'll have to fight.
I had it all planned out in my head by now. The so-called King's verdict would be useless very soon.
As I thought about this, I couldn't help thinking about Hazel once again and then something clicked.
My heart raced when some little things started to.make sense all of a sudden and I didn't wait to say goodbye to Fred because I couldn't.
I might know just where Hazel could be!!!!
