Chapter 557 Are You Going to Have a Wedding?

"Juliana, haven't you always wanted a mom?" Edward asked, his tone mysterious.

"I have a mom now, so I don't need another one. Dad, don't try anything funny!" Juliana's eyes showed a hint of caution as she thought of Aria.

Edward and Nancy exchanged a knowing glance, their smiles growing wider.

"Juliana, that's not what I meant. I meant your real mom. Do you miss her?"

"No!" Juliana hugged Nancy tighter. "I only want this mom. She's my real mom. Any other woman has nothing to do with me!"

Nancy chuckled. "Juliana, I am actually your real mom."

"You've always been," Juliana said, tilting her head in confusion. She didn't understand why they kept repeating this.

Edward slowed his speech, explaining, "Juliana, the woman standing in front of you is the one who gave birth to you. You came from her belly. Do you understand?"

"I'm sorry, Juliana," Nancy's eyes welled up with tears. "I lost you by accident years ago. I've been looking for you ever since. It was only a few days ago that I found out you were my child all along. I'm so sorry I didn't realize it sooner."

Juliana was stunned, struggling to comprehend their words.

"Dad, Mom, even though I'm a bit mad you took so long to come back, you don't have to make up stories to cheer me up. I'm about to start elementary school. I won't fall for that."

Nancy and Edward couldn't help but laugh. This clever little girl thought they were trying to trick her.

"Juliana, you really are my biological child. If you don't believe me, we can do a DNA test tomorrow, okay?" Nancy said gently.

"Really? Am I really your biological child?" Juliana was starting to believe.

"Really. When have I ever lied to you, Juliana?"

Juliana jumped up excitedly. "That's amazing! I'm really your child, not some random woman's. Mom, why did it take you so long to find me?"

As she finished speaking, Juliana started crying, all her years of longing and frustration turning into tears, but mostly tears of joy.

Nancy hugged her tightly, guilt-ridden. "I'm so sorry, Juliana. I'm so sorry..."

Edward wrapped his arms around both of them, comforting them. "Don't cry. This is a good thing. We should be happy."

"Yes, we should be happy," Nancy said, wiping away her tears with a smile.

Once the family calmed down, Juliana pulled out her watch. "I need to call Great-Grandma and tell her the good news."

Edward gently held her hand. "Your great-grandma already knows."

"Then I'll call my uncles and aunts. They took me out a lot when you weren't home." She had already dialed the number before finishing her sentence.

Edward smiled helplessly. Seeing Nancy was tired, he said to Juliana, "Juliana, I'm going to take your mom to rest. You can come in after your call."

The call connected, and Juliana was too busy to respond to him.

"Uncle Royce, are you with Uncle George and Aunt Elsie?"

"Yes, we are. What's up, Juliana? Do you want to go out?"

"No," Juliana lowered her voice. "Uncle Royce, put me on speaker. I have some good news."

Royce chuckled. "It's on. We're all listening. Go ahead."

"Uncle George, Uncle Royce, you are actually my real uncles." She giggled.

"We've always been your real uncles, Juliana. Did something happen?" George's gentle voice came through.

Juliana laughed. "Uncle George, I'm Mom's biological child, so you are my biological uncles. Bet you didn't see that coming!"

"You're Nancy's biological child? Nancy had a child before?" The people on the other end were stunned.

"Yes, my mom had a child before. I'm the child she gave birth to. My parents just told me. I have to tell a lot of people, so I can't talk long."

She hung up and immediately thought of calling Aubrey. Although they were good friends now, she would never forget how Aubrey once called her a motherless child, leading to a big fight.

After calling Aubrey, she contacted many more people. Today was the happiest day of her life.

When the Forbes family heard the news, they were ecstatic.

Except for Frank, Mary, Jeremy, and Zachary, everyone else drove straight to the Smith Villa, bombarding Nancy with questions. "Nancy, how did you and Edward have a child? Didn't you know Juliana was your child? How could you not tell us something so big? Do you not consider us family?"

Nancy laughed. "So many questions, I don't know where to start."

She then recounted everything that had happened over the years. Everyone's eyes reddened as they listened. They had only known that the Davis family forced Nancy into a marriage, unaware of the deeper story.

"That's outrageous," Elsie, the crybaby, was already in tears. "How could they use a child to threaten you and then lose her? Thank goodness you found Juliana. Otherwise..."

Royce slammed the table. "It seems our previous punishment was too lenient. This time, I'll make sure they pay for what they did!"

"Let it go," Nancy held him back. "I've already taken my revenge in my own way. Besides, Grandma was good to me. I don't want to make her sad. Let's leave the past behind. Our family is reunited now, and I don't want to pursue it any further. Let's end it here."

But Royce couldn't swallow his anger. The Davis family had treated someone who should have been cherished so poorly. He had to do something, or it would be too easy on them.

"No way. Compared to what you went through, their lives are still too easy."

Elsie hugged Nancy tightly. "No wonder you changed so much after coming back from abroad. You went through such a painful experience. I wish I could have been there for you. I'm so sorry, Nancy."

"It's not your fault," Nancy patted her head. "Everyone has their own trials. You had your struggles too. Besides, we're all doing well now, aren't we?"

Royce still felt the Davis family shouldn't get off so easily. Just as he was about to say more, George asked, "Nancy, are you and Edward planning a wedding?"
