Chapter 43 Forty three
Chapter 43 Forty three
BRENDA'S POV
"Thomas you can't make me redraw!"
I sparked off getting up from the couch, Marge island had taken me quite far but I needed far more strength if I was ever going to reclaim my pack and have my revenge.
"As the crowned prince, I am actually completely capable of doing that, I'm afraid, Brenda."
I just looked at him and said, "You can't be serious, you just can't!"
I said clenching my fist, just when I taught that we were finally reaching out to each other, finally understanding what it truly meant to be mates.
"I'm not, "He said frankly, "I'll tell my men to start making preparations for you to start going to join my mother, I'm sure she will appreciate your company,"
We are right back to square one again, weren't we? it made my stomach twist.
I walked closer to him.
"Your mother would want me to be closer to you, to be by your side and gain these experiences-"
"My mother would want you alive, you are meant to bare my heir one day, it won't happen if you are shot down by a silver bullet," He paused"..don't forget that almost happened before, so try to be reasonable,"
I stared at him and realized that I was just wasting my saliva on him, he wouldn't change his mind, even if I pulled on my hair and rolled on the wooden floor.
The mind of the prince had been made up and his word was final.
When that finally sank into my head, I allowed my head to fall, then when it came up it was with nods.
"You know what?"
"Now Brenda before you argue with me I ha-"
"You're right, your Mother's health is already so bad to imagine what would happen if by any chance I were to die in battle,"
Prince Thomas nodded, "Yes, I knew that if I explained this properly to you...you would understand-"
"I don't, "I cut in,"...I'm worried for your mother...so is every mate, pup, friend, and family member that sees their loved one heading into battle, don't their pain matter? But that sacrifice is needed or we will all suffer."
He looked at me for the longest time"You really won't listen to me and redraw?"
"Come on, the only reason a She-wolf can redraw from battle is if she mentally unstable, pregnant, fatally wounded, or something as serious along that line,"
"Isn't my worries enough reason for you?"
He asked, and I shook my head recently, "Not in a million years, even if you are my mate and my prince I can't let you get me away from my goals and ambitions."
He nodded, "Gosh you are so stubborn."
He said and laughed a bit, but it was so dry and barely reached his eyes at all as he placed his hand on his hips.
"I'll need to think about this Bren-"
"Whatever your decision is, Prince Thomas I hope you know that you'll have to literally chain and drag me out of here to make me leave the battle, "I said cutting into his words and walking out towards my own room slamming the door shut.
I landed on my bed and punched my pillow.
What was I going to do? I was acting all tough in front of him but he was the Lycan prince and he DID have the authority to make me redraw.
And if Johanne heard about the dangers out here she might also then back her son's crazy decision.
I grabbed my pillow punching it furiously, there was no choice for me at the moment other than to play the waiting game with this one.
This was all so exhausting.
He wasn't going to change his mind and neither was I.
With that I threw my eyes to the window, if I could sneak out after packing some necessities, then I'll be able to join a squad or something along the border.
Or maybe I could take down a really powerful vampire or anything that would make him see that I wasn't going to drop down like a fly at the sight of danger.
With that plan in mind, I grabbed a backpack and went around the room that had been really cozied up for me before our arrival, so it was good for me to pick up all the things I needed, food bars, toiletries, a few clothes and a little more of this and that and I was set.
Now all I had to do was wait.
When darkness had finally blanketed everywhere in the night, I took deep slow breaths and shoved my bag under the bed.
I had tried my best to make my needs the only contents of the back but it was still quite swollen.
How was I going to be able to walk past the wolves guarding the cabin if I had this on my back?
I huffed, "When I get to that bridge then I can cross it, "I said as I shoved it under the bed, and just then my door created as it was slowly being open.
I jumped on my bed and wrapped myself under the duvet, shutting my eyes.
"Miss Brenda," the voice of one of the guard wolves came to me."The prince would like to see you..."
"Tell him that I am already sleeping and that I feel too tired to get up, "I said frankly.
We had said all that needed to say, I had thought that for once in my life, I had found someone who truly believed in me and saw my potential.
But I was wrong...he was just like the rest from that btch Vivian and my worthless rejected mate, none of them respected me.
"Is there no way that you can maybe ju-"
I shook my head.
"I'm sorry but please tell him that we have nothing to say to each other and that he should just let me be,"
"I'm afraid that I can't just take that Brenda, "I turned my head to see that Thomas had entered in after the guard.
"And wouldn't you like to hear my decision?"
