“Why would she want you to train her pack warriors, uncle? Edith??” Williams scowled as he seemed uncomfortable with Sienna's proposal.

The long silence that dwelled in the dining room was cleared immediately with Williams' question.

Chloe Parker was with Freya in her room as they were preparing for the dinner night.

Edith had bought a new gown for her and tonight, he couldn't wait to spend some good time with her.

He had missed her like it had been months since they last saw each other.

“Everything and every decision I have made is for my Moonie's happiness and this one, can't be any different!!” He snapped off the negative thoughts from Williams' head.

He was seated and staring at Williams and Jason as they argued about something, probably an argument, but his mind was far from there.

Furthermore, he shrugged as he stood up and they both kept quiet. Likewise, he smiled shortly before excusing himself.

“Wow!! Such a beautiful outfit, Chloe!!” Freya said with a broad smile lingering on her face.

She kept brushing down the gown which had a flowery neck which was extremely full.

“Uncle. Edith would be really amazed when he sees you in this beautiful gown.” She chuckled softly.

“But how come he knows what fits you??”

Freya's eyes got buried in tears as she couldn't wait to feel what it felt like to have your destined mate by your side.

And who wouldn't envy Chloe's and Edith's affair? They bonded so well and they both understood each other so well, even to him knowing her body size and getting what suits her taste.

“I wish he needs me the same way I need him!!” Lulu grunted in disgust as she relapsed.

Lulu had missed his wolf dearly and not being with Edith for a day created some breach as it seemed like months since he left.

“And I need you every single day to stay alive, my moonie!! You're my second chance mate, and you're the life Goddess Sanguis blessed me with.” He muttered, leaning against the door side.

Freya blushed as she heard Edith's calm voice. She excused herself, leaving the two lovebirds together while she joined Williams and Jason in the dining room.

He walked closer to her, and she stood still, staring at his charming blue eyes.

“I'm sorry, my moonie!!” He said in a low tone before kissing her forehead.

“Why did you choose to become an administrator there?? You know I can't live without you. I always want you."

He interrupted her with a deep kiss, grabbing her waist tight and bringing her close to his body as her body pressed against his body.

She shut her eyes as her breath got steady, and she could feel the leaping of her wolf, Lulu.

“I will be back in no time, okay??” He muttered as he kissed her lips against and then bit her lower lip as they both chuckled.

“You're cheesy tonight!!” Chloe chuckled as she kissed him for the last time.

“They will be waiting for us in the dining room. You know we can't keep them waiting.” She said as she poked his nose.

He helped her zip up her gown and helped her comb her hair, making braids and bun, as he loved it for the night.

“Woah!! You never told me you were a good stylist too?” She chuckled in utmost shock as she couldn't believe her eyes.

“How many more things are you keeping away from me, Edith?? All you ever do is keep surprising me!!” She muttered as she fixed her eyes with his.

Mere looking at him made her thrilled that she failed to know when she started smiling too.

“Okay, come here.” He opened his right arm as Chloe placed her left arm in between his arm, and they stepped out of the room.

It was a great dinner night, and he was excited as he saw Chloe happy throughout.

He felt she needed her friends around, and that was what led to the whole idea of the dinner night.

“Uncle. Edith, so when will you be relocating to the wild??” Williams propped up and the dining room went silent for a while as they all looked at Williams.

“Soon!! I just want to complete my administration in the pack first before I relocate to the wild with my moonie!!” He said briefly, and they all turned to look at him.

Williams smiled as he got an answer. “But then, why did Sienna change the proposal??” He asked again.

“I think she's trying to leverage on your martial skills and then prepare her pack warriors for war.”

“Then let there be war!!” He smirked as the room went silent again.

Late into the night, and they all left Edith and Chloe to enjoy the cold night.

“You really do have nothing to worry about, moonie.” He snapped.

He rubbed her hair gently as she rested on his chest. “Come here!!” He carried her up in his arms and sat her down on the sofa chair that faced the piano directly.

“Tell me, why did you volunteer to be the temporary administrator?”

Her question was accompanied by a key of the piano and a smile that melted her heart. Her puppy eyes made him to smile, and he continued with playing the piano.

“I know, I know why you volunteered. I told you that I don't mind being used as your experiment.” She sobbed as she looked at him.

“It's just a matter of a month, moonie.” He muttered.

They drifted into different fun topics and as usual, she drifted to a heavy sleep during the conversation.

“Edith?” She yawned, stretching her body as she cleaned her eyes, but she was all alone again.

She propped up from the bed as she searched the whole house, but all she could perceive was the whiff of his strong perfume.

Today was a bit different as he got a new driver, one appointed by Sienna. He was in his late twenties.

He drove down with the aged man who had come earlier. Edith felt something different.

“My name is Xavier, and I am your new driver.”

There was a glitch somewhere, “He is a cyborg."
