Chapter 34

The car drove into the big compound and Luna Emma was sitting outside the balcony when she saw the car park in the garage. She smirked when she saw the German shepherd approaching the car. The dog kept on barking vehemently like it was about to attack.

“Usually like that with strangers. Just sit back while I chase it off, okay??” The driver muttered as he stepped out of the car.

He was shocked when he heard the dog’s voice fainting down slowly, and it was panting hard now, licking Edith’s right hands like he was the master.

“Uh?? How come wolf??” He paused in complete shock as he stared at Edith, who was now playing with the dog.

“This is completely weird. You are the first stranger that little wolf has been friendly with. Always aggressive with strangers.” The aged man muttered as he stared at Edith, who was wearing a broad smile.

He raised his head up as he could clearly perceive a strong floral scent, and he saw Emma who was looking at him. He could tell that she was disappointed with the friendly nature of the dog towards him.

She turned away as she walked inside, saying nothing to him.

“That's Luna. Emma. The wife of Stark and Noah. A werewolf girl with two mates, that’s a rare one among us.” The man muttered. “Alpha. Lawrence is expecting you!!” The man said as Edith stood up and followed the man behind.

He glanced through the house, and he could say that a lot of money was spent just to build this mansion.

The hallway leading to Alpha. Lawrence’s office was completely quiet, and the only people that could be seen in this part of the house were just the maids.

“Damn!! Chloe is really lucky to have a good-looking man like him.”

“I heard he killed his first mate in less than 24 hours.”

“O! I wish the goddess could bless him with a man like him. Powerful and gorgeous!!”

He maintained his focus as he walked down the lobby. He could hear their whispering and also their minds. Who could resist a man like Edith Ellsworth?? His white flowing hair that matched his blue eyes that were as calm as the ocean and his 6’6 heights that was blessed with good muscles made him way too appealing to be resisted.

“Oh! You are here already, Edith Ellsworth.” Alpha. Lawrence got up as he had a handshake with Edith.

“It is good having you here, and we have allotted a few maids to your care. You have absolutely nothing to worry about, and I spoke with the supreme Alpha. Jasper Maximus and he has approved your request.” He said with a broad smile on his face.

“Naomi??” He called out and a young, sired werewolf walked in. Her eyes were green, matching to her outfit.

She bowed her head in respect to the alpha and to Edith.

“She will be your main maid for the time being and all other maids allotted to you will be answering to her, and she will be answering to you directly.” He muttered as he looked at Naomi, whose hands were together, across her apron.

“Lead him to his chambers!!” He ordered. “Oh! And we are having a little feast on your behalf because your brother, Allen, has been good to our race. It is by.”

Edith had interrupted him halfway. “I won’t be attending. I will be having a busy night today. Thank you for your kindness!!” He said in a calm tone as he walked out.

He walked inside his room as he sent Naomi away before taking off his coat. Not only that, but he glanced through his room and he was awed by such luxurious state of Alpha. Lawrence.

He stepped inside the bathroom as he washed off and got changed to a much simpler.

“A meeting has been scheduled for 7 PM this evening with Alpha. Jasper Maximus, Sienna, and then you. The main objective of your presence here will be discussed during the meeting.

Everything got changed since the widow acclaims the position of a Luna and alpha and seeks that she makes the demands for the atonement of Alpha. Henry’s death.

And to preserve peace, Alpha. Jasper Maximus agrees with her every word.” Alpha. Lawrence muttered in a low tone as he looked at Edith, whose face held no emotions.

“Welcome, Edith Ellsworth!!” Alpha. Jasper Maximus greeted as Edith walked into the courtroom.

Sienna sighed as she looked away, not wanting to look at his face.

“Greetings, Alpha. Jasper Maximus!! My brother, Allen, sends his regards to your household and wishes your headship good success.” Edith muttered as he took his seat, opposite to Sienna.

“Here!!” She gave to one of the court gents a bill, which he took to Edith.

“That is her proposal, and you have 24 hours to go through it and decide. Either to accept or decline her offer!!” He muttered, with his eyes fixed to Edith’s blue eyes.

Edith quickly perused through it and he smirked. He knew she was up to something, but if this was her plan, then it was definitely going to fail. He was way more equipped, and he had years of experience.

The proposal was passed to Alpha. Lawrence as he was also playing a major role in the whole matter as Chloe Parker was a member of his pack.

“This is more like a martial administration!!” Alpha. Lawrence muttered as he dropped the bill. “How would this help both races??” He cuts in.

“This is my proposal and when my husband, Henry was still alive, he made sure he trained the warriors of our pack to the fittest and then, this scoundrel came into the picture and killed him. You don’t expect me to train them and I need someone who is strong enough and that is where Edith Ellsworth comes in.” She scowled as she stood up.

“If that is what she wants, then I am ready to take up the role to help train her pack warriors. It is my full honor to take up this role and I will do my best to make them highly effective.” He muttered as he bowed down.

He stood up as he walked out, leaving them all alone, and he smirked. “It’s about a fun time.”
