Chapter 78: Meeting Mom
Chapter 78: Meeting Mom
Silas shook his head at his brother, Damien, getting permission to begin the discussion for the upcoming trial. “Excuse me, if everyone is ready, we need to talk about the trials.” Silas stated. “Lylah will need to be in Court at 8 am with trial starting at 8:30.” Silas started. “Burican and his men will stand trial at 8:30 and then Max and Eric will face their charges. They are scheduled for 10:30.”
“Are we really going to need two hours for his men?” Storm asked.
“Probably not but I figured you might want a break to get something to drink and go potty.” Silas told her. Storm heard River giggle and whisper to Marco that Silas said, ‘mama had to go potty.’ The room chuckled at that; River didn’t realize yet that everyone could hear what she said.
“What will you need from the Shadow’s as far as security is concerned during the trials?” Kydence asked.
“Well, if you don’t mind, I would like to keep Spencer and Spyder as the court bailiffs.” Reign smirked as she looked over to them both. “Spyder hates me calling him a bailiff.” She laughed.
“I am not a bailiff. I am a Shadow Elite Warrior.” He grumbled. “But I will not deny my Queen’s request.” He said with a huff.
“That would be a great help since the rest of the Shadows will still be settling in and I have no idea who I will be assigning to the Moon Court.” Kyde sighed.
“Spyder and Spencer can fill that role until you have figured everything out.” Reign did a little wiggle dance.
“It will be our pleasure.” Spencer bowed with a little sarcasm. Reign chuckled.
“Thank you and please be assured that I will not keep you on court duty.” Kyde smiled.
Damien could see the relief on Spyder’s face, he was the quiet one of the three Shadow brothers. He also hoped that Kyde and her family could help them find out where they came from and what happened to their parents.
Damien cleared his throat, getting everyone’s attention. “Once they are dealt with Reign and I would like to speak with all of you about having Shadow Mountain and SilverHawk settle here with Raven-Hunt.” Damien said.
“Wait, as in move here, to the palace?” Silas responded in surprise.
“Well, not living in the palace but we can get each of your packs situated within the territory here in the kingdom.” Reign smiled. “We have plenty of land that will accommodate all your needs.”
“That’s a big change and move.” Kydence frowned.
“We just think that since Dakota and Kydence are the Shadow pack and Blasé and Storm are the Moon Court that it might be easier for all of us to work closer together to protect our kingdom, all supernatural’s and humans.” Damien stated.
“And we think that’s a wonderful idea as well.” A voice agreed and clapped her hands making everyone jump and growl.
“WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!” Damien growled as he pushed his Queen behind his back completely hiding her from view. Reign rolled her eyes; all the females rolled their eyes. Their mates keep treating them as if they are China dolls, which they are not.
“Wait, wait, please.” Storm held her hands up standing in front of the unexpected visitors. “Tia, why would you just poof in?! We’ve discussed this many times!” Storm scolded.
Tiamat raised her brow at Storm. “Selene, I do believe that your CHILD thinks she can scold me. I NEVER agreed to anything of the sort.” She dryly said looking at her nails.
“Do you really think that poofing in and outta a room when you are NOT expected is a good idea?” Storm shot back. Tiamat just lazily looked at Storm.
“Whoa, wait just a hot damn minute!” Koltyn said. “Did she just say...Selene, that her child...as in Selene? The Moon Goddess, Selene?” He gapped.
Storm sighed. “Your majesties, this is my mother, the Moon Goddess, Selene,” She introduced her mother. “And I guess, you could call her my aunt, Tiamat.” She motioned to Tiamat, who gave them her brightest smile.
“Wholly shit!” Was whispered through the room.
“Yeah, that’s what we said when we found out.” Silas chuckled.
“Goddess, welcome.” Damien bowed. “I am King Damien Aryes Hunt, this is my mate, Queen Reign Dyanera Black Rose Raven Hunt.” He introduced himself and his mate. “My apologies for our reactions.”
“Wow!” Tiamat snorted. “That’s a mouthful, are you a lawyer?”
“I take pride in my family history and name.” Reign glared at Tiamat.
Tiamat rolled her eyes. “I meant no disrespect your majesty.” Tiamat bowed.
“Tia behave!” Selene scolded. “And there is no need to apologize, we shouldn’t have just poofed in.” She snickered. “If you are going to continue this behavior then go home.” She scolded.
“Fine!” Tia snapped. “My apologies Queen Reign. Please forgive me.” Tiamat said sincerely this time.
“Yes, well, it’s my understanding that the Gods and Goddesses can be...” Reign trailed off, “moody.”
Tia raised an eyebrow and stared at the Queen. “Yes, we can.” She admitted and started laughing.
“Uuhh...Tia, just admit that you can be a bitch sometimes.” Selene sighed. “And the rest of the Gods can be assholes.” Selene stated, “I even have my days.” She admitted.
“Well, I do try.” Tiamat shrugged her shoulders. “Anywho, as I said when I popped in.” Tia continued. “We, moody, Gods and Goddesses agree that bringing the Shadows and the Court to one location.” Tiamat continued. “It will be easier for us to keep an eye on all of you.” She smirked.
“No one needs to keep any eye on us, you’re the ones that need someone to keep any eye on.” Storm snorted rolling her eyes. “You Gods are the ones who like to misbehave and do whatever you want to do without the thought of the consequences. Is there anything else?” she asked.
Tiamat tapped her chin with her index finger. “Nah,” she thought for a moment, “I think that’s all. I knew you would be a strong, fair and love me unconditionally.” She walked over to Storm, hugged, and kissed her cheek. “Would it be okay if I visited my little nephews and niece?” She asked.
“They’re in the nursery with all the other pups.” Storm turned to Reign. ‘Do you mind if Aunt Tia visits?”
“No, I don’t mind.” Reign smiled. “Spencer, Aleya would you escort Goddess Tiamat to the nursery, please?”
“Yes, my Queen.” Spencer and Aleya responded. “If you’ll follow us.” Aleya motioned.
“I don’t need to be escorted to the nursery; I know where it is.” Tia huffed.
Storm looked at Tia. “DO NOT poof in there!” She warned. “You might scare all the little ones.” Storm warned.
“Uh...I would never.” Tia scoffed.
“Please just walk there.” Storm sighed. “Fine, let’s go wolf boy and girl.” Tia said.
Spencer and Aleya chuckled and showed Tiamat to the nursery. “And actually, I am a vampire.” Aleya said with a smile.
“Oooooooo,” Tia clapped her hands. “A wolf and a vampire, that will be one beautiful little pup. What do you call a baby vampire?” Tia asked with a raised brow. “A wolfpire?” She smiled. “I think I like my new word. Wolfpire, that’s what we will call our wolf and vampire hybrids.”
“Tia, will you stop being annoying. And you know very well that Zeus already has named the hybrids.” Selene said, turning to Reign. “I’m so sorry.” Selene sighed. “Tiamat can be a handful, I know. I had every intention of arriving at the gates but...” She chuckled rolling her eyes. “Anyway.” Selene snorted.
“We have a few like her.” Damien laughed and glanced at Reign.
“Don’t look at me.” Reign protested. “What?” She asked looking at him with narrowed eyes.
“Nothing, I’m just admiring my beautiful Queen.” He said and winked at her.
“Yeah, good cover.” She snarked.
While Spencer and Alyea escorted Tiamat to the nursery, the others continued with the business at hand.
“We need to make sure that no one else knows about us Shadows,” Mimi started, “I mean that no one can know...”
“Mimi,” Kydence interrupted, “they know the rules, Mimi.” She assured. “Sorry.” She bowed.
“Anyway, it’ll make things easier to train our newly discovered Shadows if we move here.” Milo said, changing the subject.
“Yeah,” Kydence agreed, “we can start this week or next, whenever you’re ready.”
“I’m ready NOW!” Dillon bounced.
“You first need to get back into school.” Megan scolded.
“Awe, mom can’t I do homeschool? School’s boring, I can do so much more on my own.” He whined.
“Dillon, you need to be going to school and be around other pups your age.” Megan told him.
“I don’t like pups my own age. I have nothing in common with them. While they want to go out and get in trouble, I would rather be training or learning some kinda new combat techniques. Mom, please.” He pleaded. “I want this. I promise if you let me do this, I will graduate and I will stay on the honor roll.”
“Megan,” Mimi started, “we have a school that he can attend and do his training.” She said.
“We will make sure that he gets his education.” Milo assured her.
Megan looked at Doltyn and frowned. “Sweetheart, I say let him do this.” Doltyn said wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
“If it doesn’t work, if your grades fall below a B or you turn into a real pain in the ass or a moody teenager,” Megan raised her finger to Dillon, “I will put you back in regular school and your training will be limited to weekends. You got me young man?” she said, jabbing him in the chest.
“I promise A/B honor roll and I’ll stay outta trouble.” He promised, hugging her tightly
