They finally got everyone settled in after the capture of Burican, Eric, Max and Courtney, all their people were in custody also. Now that had arrived on the Royal lands things fell to Storm and Blasé to put the law system in place. Storm and her beast, Lylah, would be the ones to decide their guilt or innocence and what their punishment would be. The Shadow Guards roll in this situation was over, except those that would be acting as court guards.

They decided to meet with the Shadow's they've met, Babaloo, Shadow and his twin brother's. Storm and Blasé have been set up in one of the bigger guest houses, it’s a three story, twelve bedrooms with a bathroom in in each room and two guest bathrooms on the main floor. It was big enough to hold the Shadow-BlackPaw family. 

Mimi, Vic and the other Shadow warriors were given some time off to relax and get a feel for the area they would be calling home. Dakota, Kyde, their brothers and sisters would be meeting with the four new Shadow’s.

Kyde, Keane, KC and Kolby were in the kitchen putting the final touches on the snacks they would be serving to their guests. They set out the trays when there was a knock at the door. They looked over to their mates who were sitting on the sofa’s watching the Astros put an ass whooping on the White Socks.(Yes, I am an Astros fan. Born and raised in Texas.). There was another rap on the door.

Keane glared at her at mate and the other males, “do none of you hear the knocking on the door?” She stood with her hands on her hips.

“Huh? Oh yeah, sorry babe, but the S'tros…" Kruz started.

“No but’s!" Keane looked at Kruz daring him to finish his sentence.

“Not to worry, we got it.” Hunter said as he walked to the door. He opened it, “Gentlemen, welcome. C’mon in.” He said opening the door wider for Babaloo, Shadow, Spyder and Spencer to walk in. By then Dakota, Kasper and Kruz were standing next to their mates ready to greet their guests.

“Gentlemen? Where?” Babaloo laughed, looking around and pointed to the three brothers who shook their heads no.

“These three numbskulls are far from gentlemen.” A female voice said from behind them.

“Well, I’m sure the big dumb stinky bear isn’t.” They heard Mimi comment.

“Would you four please move or go inside, so we can?” An unrecognizable voice ordered. “I gotta go pee!” She growled. They all quickly moved outta the way and a very pregnant female waddled in, “Bathroom?” She asked.

“This way.” Kolby motioned for the female to follow her.

“Sorry but these babies keep pushin’ on my bladder. They keep this up and I may hafta start lugging around one of those shitters on wheels.” The female said. “Could one of you please help me?” She called out. Spencer quickly rushed to his mate’s side and closed the bathroom door.

Kolby chuckled to herself and joined her mate and siblings in the living room. “She’s three months along and those two pups are already driving her crazy.” Jen snickered.

“Not funny.” The female huffed.

“Considering I had twins not too long ago, yeah it is.” Jen smiled. “Shadow Mountain, this is my sister-in-law, Aleya, She’s Spencer and Spyder’s mate.” She introduced.

“It’s an honor to meet all of you.” Aleya smiled. “I hope it’s okay that I came along with them. These little ones get very upset when their daddies are away.” Aleya told them.

“Of course, it’s okay.” Kyde told her with a huge smile. “Actually, not many of our Shadows have found their mates so, this is very exciting.” She could feel herself vibrate with excitement.

“Only the Shadows in this room have found their mates.” Kasper stated.

“I guess that explains the low number of Shadows.” Jen observed.

“There are three more, but they are still young. Dillon and his two siblings they are our youngest Shadow’s.” Mimi said.

“Actually, our pups, Hylo and Sadie are the youngest. They are a year old.” Shadow told them.

Kydence smiled wide, “our numbers are slowly growing.”

“Hopefully this means that our Shadows will now be able to find their mates once we move here and send them out to other places.” Kruz said with hope glimmering in his eyes.

“Here’s to hoping.” Kyde agreed.

“We are going to hafta come up with training programs for the different age ranges.” Mimi started, “most Shadows start to emerge at the age of five, so we need a program that includes training to help our little Shadows to learn how to shift and start using their Shadow properly.

“We have at least four years before our next Shadows emerge. We will need to go ahead and start training with Dillon and Babaloo. One of us will need to also start training with Dillion’s siblings.” Kasper said as he made notes of everything they were talking about. “Drew we can go ahead and start working with to help him shift into his shadow, he’s I believe ten and Harper is five. From what Doltyn has said she’s been disappearing and reappearing outta nowhere. She’s scared her granpa on several occasions when they are out together.” He chuckled to himself.

“Mimi and I have been working with Baba a little, showing him how to quickly and fluidly switch from him to his Shadow. He’s been doing good; he still needs to practice but he’s getting there.” Vic stated.

“Okay so, what do we know about the trials for Burican, Eric, Max, his men and Courtney?” Kolby asked.

“The trials are in a couple of days.” Jen started, “Shadow, Spencer and Spyder have been requested to stay with Queen Reign and Luna Storm throughout the trial and then maybe we can find more permanent court bailiffs.” She chuckled at her brothers-in-law’s. Both of them glared at her. “What? That’s what her Majesty calls you and how can you argue with her?” she teased them making them roll their eyes at her.

Kyde chuckled along with Jen, “I know that the twins are her Majesties personal guards, and we have no intension of changing that, but we will need to bring you in on helping train all our new Shadows.” she said still lightly chuckling.

“Yeah, that’s a given that we would need to help. We are planning to talk with both Reign and Damien.” Spencer says. “It would probably be best if we train Shadows to protect the Royal family.”

“Spencer’s right,” Shadow states, “we can hide in the dark corners, no one would be none the wiser.” He grinned.

“As much as we want to be there, we can’t always be there for them. Aleya is due in a month or so and we want to be able to take some time off to spend with her and our pups.” Spyder stated.

“We understand and we will make the arrangements. We can always assign Mimi and Vic while you’re out on leave.” Dakota suggested.

“Yeah, we don’t mind.” Mimi smiled. “A change of pace would be nice.”

“We should have at least one Shadow with each member of the Royal family.” Jen suggested.

“I think Dillion would be perfect to stay and watch over the little ones. We would need an experienced Shadow with him until he’s able to handle any issue on his own.” Mimi said.

Dillion’s great with his cousin’s so, I think he would be the best candidate, as well.” Milo chuckled. “I’ll be more than happy to train him and be there with him until he’s ready to handle it on his own.”

“About that,” Jen started, “turns out that Princess Aspyn is Rebel’s mate and our daughter, Sadie, is mated to Ryder.” She chuckled to herself as Shadow lowly growled.

“WOW! That’s pretty amazing.” Kyde smiled.

“Yeah, you should see the boys dotting over their little females. It’s so cute.” Jen cooed.

“Cute my furry ass.” Shadow grumbled.

“Dad’s still in denial.” Jen laughed.

“Wait, how can they know that they’ve found their mate? Aren’t they only like three?” KC asked.

“They’re three, but they’ve already shifted. Their wolves are much older and have identified the girls as their mate.” Jen explained.

“I thought that wolves couldn’t reveal who their mate is if they are not of age.” KC said.

“Well yeah, normally that would be the case but since they are all still pretty much babies, we’ve never had anything like this happen before.” Jen stated.

“I don’t think there’s much to do at the moment. We need to get through the trail and get the rest of Shadow Mountain here.” Dakota stated. “Maybe we can ask Storm to ask her mom about it?” He offered.

“How soon can your pack be here?” Shadow asked. “And that would be great to find out more about what’s gonna happen with our pups.” He frowned.

“All I hafta do is call my brother and give him the okay.” Dakota answered. “Should I go ahead and call him? I mean, we’d need a place for around 200 Shadow alone. I’m not sure if any other pack members are going to want to come.”

“Since it’s a new place, I’m thinking that the unmated members would want to come. You know, see if they can find their mate.” Kydence smiled wide. “Who knows, this could be the start of our Shadows finding their mates.”

“As long as they don’t get stuck with a big dumb bear as a mate.” Mimi said trying not to smile.

“No one could be as lucky as you, my love.” Babaloo chuckled kissing his mate on her temple.

“Lucky or cursed.” She chuckled, putting her hand on his face, and pushing him away from her.

“You two are gunna have some interesting little ones.” Keane giggled. “Half wolf, half bear, and all Shadow.

“Babaloo, is your brother a Shadow?” Shadow asked.

“Duh? Of course, he is. Why do you think he’s such an excellent assassin?” He said with pride for his big brother.

“Well, shit! I had no idea he was a Shadow.” Shadow frowned.

“Not to worry as you spend time and train with more Shadow’s you’ll be able to ID them.” Mimi shrugged.

“So, Shadow should we go ahead and have our people start making their way here?” Dakota asked.

“Yeah sure, we can house everyone until your territory is established.” Shadow said.

“Alright, I’ll give him a call later today.” Dakota smiled.
