Chapter 14

Jake's POV

I was so proud that my pack managed to track down all the rogues that kidnapped Bryn. I was extremely happy and excited to see Bryn's reaction to the news. I know she'll feel some closure knowing they are to pay for what they have done to her and it makes me feel slightly better for never being able to find her.

Once he said "They're being executed as we speak" Bryn dropped Jennifer down on the floor before sprinting from the house. Like literally sprinting and we all ran after her. "Bryn come back, where are you going?" I screamed as we continued to chase her through the pack grounds, passing lots of confused looking people.

"Where's she heading!" Charlie mind links me from right behind and I take a deep breath keeping my pace. "I think she's running towards where the rogues are being executed!" Lucas yells and I raise my eyebrows in confusion. "She wants to watch?" Chase asks just as confused as I was about this situation.

"Something doesn’t sound right" I said and the boys all nodded in agreement and picked up our paces to follow shortly behind Bryn. Lucas was right because when we finally caught up to Bryn we were by the small group of guards in control of the executions. Even when we arrived, she continued to run towards the group of rogues that were handcuffed along the wall and one by one they were going to be shot.

"Bryn get away from them!" I snarl worried that if she got to close one of them would hurt her. "What's she doing!?" The guard asked as he was almost about to shoot a rogue in the head. For some reason she didn't stop, neither did she respond. She continued to run closer to the rogues and what happened next shocked the boys and I, even shocked most of the guards.

As the guard aimed his gun at one of the rogues, Bryn stopped running and stood right in front of the rogue blocking the guns line of sight. The whole area went dead silent, no one moved or spoke a single word. The guard quickly aimed the gun away from Bryn's skull and put it in its holster.

"What the heck are you doing!" Charlie screams at her and she snarls. "Do you trust me?" She asks and we all nodded our heads, we have always trusted her and that never stopped. "Then trust me when I say this, if you hurt him, I will kill you" She says staring directly into our eyes and I flinched.

"Who the hell is this guy" Nick asks through the mind link and no one replied. "He must be important if she'll try to kill us if we harmed him" He said and we all nodded, what he said made since but who is this new guy.

"Bryn who is he?" I ask and she shakes her head. "You don't need to know" She snaps as she breaks the chains from around the mystery guy and once, he's free she wraps her arms around him and he hugs her back. I was almost jealous from the embrace, they both looked so relieved to be in each other’s arms and it confused me more than anything.

She took his hand in hers and started walking back towards the pack house and us boys followed slowly behind. "She seems mighty protective over him, maybe their related?" Chase suggests and I just shrug, "No idea honestly" I replied as I watched them whisper to each other quietly so we wouldn't hear. "What do you think they're talking about?" Charlie asks obviously seeing their whispers as well.

"Whatever it is, I want to find out" Lucas said his big brother instinct coming in strong.

Bryn's POV

I unchained Mason and pulled him into a very much needed hug. I hugged him like my life depended on it, I missed him so much. When I pull away, I grab his hand and start to walk back to the pack house.

"I'm guessing the Alpha's, Jake, right?" He asked and I nodded, I told him about Jake just not that he was Alpha. "How'd you guess?" I asked and he chuckled, "He sent daggers at me when you hugged me" He said and I smiled. "Well he'll have to get used it, I just got you back and I'm not planning to let you go ever again" I say truthfully and he nodded with a smile.

"How's Jennifer?" He asks in a worried tone and I smile, daddy's back. "She's fine, she misses you of course but she's fine" I tell him and he gives me a relieved smile, he must have been worried about her. "But let's keep you and Jennifer on the down low for now, I haven’t told the boys about who the father is yet" I said and his mouth went on in understanding before nodding. "Sure, thing prisoner, but daddy needs his cuddles" He says and I giggle, oh I missed him.

"Don't worry Mason, I'm not taking her cuddles away from you" I said with a smirk and he chuckled. "Oh god I missed you" He said with a genuine smile and I smiled back. "I missed you to kidnapper" I say bumping into him and he smiles swinging his arm around my shoulder.

Together we walked into the pack house and he wolf whistled taking it all in. "This place is nice" He says flopping down on the couch and practically made himself at home. I chuckled and shake my head in amusement. "Bryn!" Jake's voice called out and I cringed turning around to see the boys with their arms crossed not looking particularly happy.

"Yes Jake?" I asked innocently and I can practically imagine Mason smirking his head off behind me, enjoying my suffering. "I really need to know who he is, not just any rogue is allowed to stay in my pack house" He said going into Alpha mode and I glared at him. He's using his pack as an excuse to get answers out of me. "Well it's really none of your business" I say and Jake didn't look very happy with my reply.

"Bryn!?" He shouted in a warning tone and then of course the worst thing that could have possibly happened, happened. Jennifer came running into the room and she spotted Mason and I mentally cursed. "Daddy!" She squeals running over to the couch and jumping onto Mason's lap. "Hey sweetie" He says and I sigh. "Crap" I swore and plopped down on the armchair behind me and run my hands through my hair preparing myself for the questions I know are coming.

"Daddy!?" Jake shrieks and I groan propping my head into my hands hiding my face. But of course, Mason seemed to be enjoying this extremely awkward situation as he was just casually chatting away with his very excited daughter. Obviously oblivious to his very distressed baby momma who was facing the wrath of 1 angry and 4 very confused men...
