Chapter 13

I always assumed that things have changed over the past 10 years, but inside I hopped that nothing did. When we pulled up into the pack driveway through the automatic gates, I knew nothing was the same. The traditional pack house was replaced with a bigger more modern one, that has a lot more technology.

When the car stopped, I practically ran from it and danced along the front lawn. While Jennifer pranced over to the garden, I sprinted through the front doors and stared in amazement. "Holy shit!" I screamed looking at all the fancy architect. I sprinted up the marble staircase and slid along the polished wooden floors.

I ran along the top floor until I ran down the stairs at the other end, then of course I awkwardly sprinted into the kitchen where a group of women stared at me. I've never seen these girls before I guess they joined the pack when I was gone and I must look so strange. Seeing a girl, they don't know wearing old styled clothing, out of breath with probably the worst hair cut you have ever seen.

"Excuse me who are you?" One of them snaps rudely and I frown, well aren't they nice. "Well who are you?" I answer back arrogantly doing my best to piss them off. "Listen girl we're very well respected around here, so show some respect" One of them snarl and I chuckle, like literally I start breaking out in laughter. "Well so am I, I'm very respected as well" I say with a smirk and they glare at me.

"You're a rogue, no one will ever disrespect you!" She shouted and I frowned, "Oh no you did not just call me a rogue, that's just disrespectful" I say waving my finger around in disapproval. They gave me a look that basically meant they found me crazy. "Get out of our house before we call the Alpha and Beta's" The tall one threatened and I smirked. "Go ahead" I say casually and they raised their eyebrows, rogues are normally terrified of Alphas but it's Jake and I'm not scared of that dweeb.

"Boys! Jake!" One of them yells and I hear their footsteps approaching and I was already smirking. Nick and Jake walk into the room and smile looking at all of us. "Oh, hey girls what's up" Nick says casually and the girl’s frown. "This rogue's being rude" One of them sneer and I hold back a chuckle. "Have you been rude?" Jake asks in a teasing tone and I smile, "Guilty as charged" I said and the boys chuckled. The girls just looked at us as if we were bonkers.

"Hey girls have you been introduced, Bryn girls, girls Bryn" He says and I literally see the girls mouth drop wide open. "This is Bryn?" One of them asked her face softening slightly. "I have a feeling I'm famous" I say elbowing Jake in the gut and he chuckled. "Yeah we might have mentioned you a few times" He said and Nick chuckled. "More like a million times, he never shut up about you. Honestly, none of us did" He said with a sad smile and I smiled back. I know exactly what he's on about, thinking someone you love is dead, is the worst thing in the world.

One of the girls walked up to me and smiled nervously, "Hi I'm Amelia, I'm Nick's mate" She said with a hesitate smile and I understood why she was nervous. "Nick oh my god! She's so pretty!" I squeal pulling the shocked girl into a big hug. I pull away from her and she looks embarrassed. "Now you Missy, better watch out for Nick he's trouble" I say and she giggles, "Trust me I know" She said and I smiled, at least she's not attacking me like I thought she would.

"Nick why didn't you tell me she was so nice; I was literally expecting a jealous she-wolf to tear me apart bit by bit" I said and the girl chuckled. Another girl walked up beside Amelia and smiled at me. "I'm Annabelle" She said and I smiled. "Nice to meet you Annabelle I'm Bryn the Awesome" I said dramatically and she chuckled. "I like her" She said to Nick and she smiled.

"Bryn I'd like you to meet Louise Lucas's mate, Annabel Chase's mate, and Melissa Charlie's mate" Jake says and I smile pulling them all into a group hug. "Finally, I need some girlfriends, boys can be a pain" I say and they all laugh and hug me back.

"Mummy!" Jennifer squeals running into the room and I smiled scooping her up into my arms. "Oh my god you have a daughter?" Amelia asks and I nod sweeping the hair out of her face. "What's her name?" She asks and I smile, "Jennifer, I named her after my mother" I say and they smile and coo over a blushing Jennifer who became shy and burrowed her head into my shoulder. I giggled and patted her hair, sometimes she was just too cute for words.

"How old is she?" Louise asked and I smiled at her. "She's 3"I tell her and she smiles. "If you don't mind me asking who's her dad?" Melissa asks and I grimace if I'm not telling the boys I'm not telling the girls.

"I'm sorry I don't like to talk about him" I say and she nods accepting my wishes but still extremely curious of who he is and why I'm being so mysterious. Luckily, they all dropped the topic completely and likes girls we made friendly small talk, trying to get to know each other.

"Alpha Jake" A loud voice calls out interrupting our chat and we all turn around to see a tall man with black hair quickly approaching us. "Yes?" Jake asks his playful voice gone, and his business one came out. "We've captured the rogues like you requested, everyone found and accounted for" He told him and I raised my eyebrows curious, was he talking about my rogues?

"Well done boys, I'll reward you for your efforts later tonight" He said and the guy smiled and nodded towards Jake in respect. "What rogues are you talking about?" I ask Jake and he smiles proudly at me. "Since we knew where you were held captive, I sent a team to track down every rogue whose scent was anywhere near that place" He said proudly and honestly, I would have been proud of him. I would have thanked him and showered him with hugs, but right now I was panicked.

"Their execution is happening as we speak" He said and as soon as I heard that I placed Jennifer on the ground and bolted from the house and only one thought rushed through my mind. If Jake's executing all the rogues, Mason was here and he was in danger...
