Chapter 107: They’re Drunk
Chapter 107: They’re Drunk
“How long did you say this pregnancy would last?” Zoltan asked. Safyer snickered at her mate.
Zoltan has been waiting on Safyer hand and foot. She wanted for nothing. The only problem was for every little hiccup, groan or yelp when the pup would kick. No matter how many times Zoltan was carrying her to Doc Judes’s office. The hospital staff already knew what to do when they saw Zoltan walk in carrying their Queen. They could tell by the look on her face if it was serious or just the King being a nervous nelly dad to be.
“Zoltan, there’s nothing wrong!” Safyer huffed. “It’s just heart burn. I promise all I need are some Tums or something to make me burp.” She told him.
“Are you sure that’s all you need?” He asked her.
“Yes, you big ape.”
“Doc, what do you say?” Zoltan asked.
Doc Jude had his lips in a tight line, trying not to let his smile show. He reached in his pocket and pulled out something. He handed it to Safyer, she opened her hand and laughed, “see, I told you.” She showed him a roll of antacid.
“Doc, I swear she was holding her chest like she was in pain.” Zoltan pleaded his case.
“Your Grace, I believe you, but she could’ve just been...” Doc looked at Safyer for help.
“Could’ve just been what?” he asked, looking at his mate.
“Trying not to throw up the food I just ate.” She said, chewing on the antacid. “Wolfboy, I promise you, if I ‘m really... if there’s a real problem I’ll let you know, okay.” She smiled at him.
Zoltan sighed, “I’m not making any promises.” He huffed.
“That’s fine. Your Grace, next time just call me and I can make a house call.” Dr. Jude smiled.
“Thank you, Doc that would be greatly appreciated.” Zoltan said helping Safyer off the exam table. As soon as her feet hit the floor, she was in his arms again.
“Zoltan Blade Lutz!” she yelped swatting at him. “Put me down. I am still capable of walking.”
“You said yourself that you can’t see your own feet.” He reminded her.
“That doesn't mean I can’t walk on my own.”
“Well, I ran here.” He sheepishly said. “So, we walk or I carry you.”
“Or you call Tarby to come get us.” She said.
“Hey there Queenie baby.” Iza said standing at the door with her baby bump sticking out. “Thought you might need a ride.” She said, “oh and all the ladies are waiting for us.”
“Oh yeah, our mommy group.”
“Yeah, and the guys are waiting for you, Zol.” Iza grinned.
“I’m not going. I don’t want to leave Saf alone.” He jutted his chin.
“She won’t be alone, Zol.” Iza chuckled, “she’s going to be surrounded by at least fifty or more females, not including our mom’s.”
“And Ollie’s daughter, Holly, she’s a nurse.” Safyer told him.
He sighed, “fine.”
The ladies met up in the Alpha suite. The dad’s to be didn’t want them anywhere that they could be easily reached. The whole Alpha floor had been turned into a safe room. A special password had to be entered and only a select few were privy to that. No one except the company knew who those people were.
“So, are you dying?” Kat asked, rubbing her own baby bump.
“No, but your stupid King thought I was,” she said, plopping down on her recliner chair, wiggled the shoes off her feet and pulled the recliner back. “Aaaahhhhh...” she sighed out.
“He’s so sweet,” Holly snickered. “I get so many dad’s like him come through the er the same way.” She chuckled, “I remember when my Denny was like that. Yes, he drove me crazy, but I knew he was doing it outta love.” She smiled.
“I think all first-time dads are like that.” Said Lucy, a she-wolf with four pups and another on the way said.
“How does Mel handle his fifth one?” Violet asked.
“He tries to be calm and strong, but I know he’s just as worried as he was with our first.” She giggled.
While the ladies were safely upstairs, the men took over the big family room on the third floor, that was where all the family dinners, party’s and holiday were held.
“How the fuck do you do it Mel?” Rollins asked, “you’re welcomin’ pup number five! Dude!”
Mel laughed, “with the help and strength of Lucy, we get through it together.”
“Did you want to have five pups?” Tarby asked.
“We planned on two maybe three, but pregnancy number two gave us trips and pregnancy number three, and baby number five were a total surprise. Her suppressant was expired.” He laughed.
“Awe man,” They all laughed.
“But I guess it’s the Moon Goddess’ will, so we aren’t complaining.”
“Yeah, who knows maybe one of your pups will be mated to one of ours.” Austin chuckled.
“Hey! Don’t go mating off my pup before he/she is born.” Zoltan growled.
“Chill out big guy.” Tarby patted his back and poured a little more wolf-shine in his glass. “You really need to relax.”
“Those days are out the window.” Zoltan said, sipping his glass. As soon as it was empty, it was filled again and again and again. “I don’t know if I’ll be a good dad.” He wined into his glass.
“Of course, you’ll be a great dad,” all the men tried to assure him.
“My father wasn’t a great role model; he pitted his two oldest sons against each other. What if I end up doing the something?” he cried into his glass. And, yes, he’s drunk off his rocker. Austin and Rollins got their paws on some wolf-shine. They were all drunk as can be.
The guards helped ALL the men back to their homes, while their mates shook their heads and snickered. “I can’t believe they got drunk!” Violet said, shaking her head.
“I’m not drunk my love,” Rollins said kissing Kat but totally missing her cheek and kissed air.
“Yeah sure, not drunk, huh?” Kat snorted. “Vi, how’s Austin?”
Violet sighed and pointed at the guards; Austin was hanging over the guards shoulder. “Does that answer your question?”
