Chapter 106: Relaxation
Chapter 106: Relaxation
“Okay, we are going to be in our apartments,” Zoltan started, “if you band of merry fools and beauty’s want to join us, you can but it’s all relaxation, no work talk. We all need a break.” He said.
“Sounds like fun. Do we need to bring anything?” Vi asked.
“Nope, just yourself unless you have a particular snack you want.” Zoltan said, “I’m going to aske the kitchen to send up food, drinks and all sorts of stuff.”
“Oooohhhh, don’t forget the sardines and peanut butter, chocolate pb, that is.” Safyer smiled rubbing her still flat tummy.
All the men shuddered and made a face. “Yes, my love, I will make sure they send that up.” He assured her.
“When are you going to stop eating that stuff?” Tarby asked.
“I don’t know, I guess whenever your little nephew decides she or he doesn’t want it anymore.” She chuckled. “What about you, Iza, any cravings yet?”
“Nope, not really. I do eat more chips than usual.” She shrugged, “what about you two?” she asked Vi and Kat.
“Ice cream for me,” Violet said.
“Pickles and lemons,” Kat scrunched her face.
“At least it’s not sardines and chocolate pb.” Rollins gagged.
“Just for that comment...”
“Please don’t say the words,” Kat pleaded.
Safyer thought for a moment, “fine, only because I love you even though I so want my brothers to suffer.”
“Oh, trust us, they will.” Iza smirked at her mate.
“With that, we’ll see you guys in about an hour.” Rollins said, pulling Kat with him. Austin and Violet followed.
Zoltan took Safyer’s hand in his but before they could walk away Tarby cleared his throat. “Did you have something else that needs our attention?” Zoltan asked.
Tarby looked down at his feet. “Tarby,” Safyer let go of her mate’s hand, making him growl lowly. “Shut up,” she smacked his chest. “What did you need?” she smiled at him.
“I was wondering what was going to happen to Aden?”
“Well, he did help us get information on Byron and Mason’s extracurricular activities. He hasn’t caused any problems since he’s been here.” She started. “Grampa asked me the same question. I’ve been thinking about it. As the elders have talked about it also. Gramps said that if I wanted to overrule their death warrant, for him and Byron they will not object.”
“When did he tell you that?” Zoltan asked, “why didn’t you tell me?” he frowned.
“I was going to tell you when we got to our room.” She said.
“Have you given any thought about it?” Tarby asked.
“It’s always on my mind. It’s been in the back through everything we’ve been going on. Sabel has also been giving her opinion as well.” She sighed.
“Of course, she has.” Tarby chuckled.
“Keep that up big brother and I will change my mind.” Sabel emerged.
“Sorry, little sister.” He winked.
“I’ve already informed them and the guards of my decision.” She said.
“Which is what?” Tarby asked.
“I’ve stayed both their death sentence.” She said. “Byron will go to the prison pack. Aden... he will remain here.”
“Are you sure about that?” Zoltan asked.
“No, but I am no longer the scared little girl I was all those years girl I was all those year ago. I’ve forgiven him and I have moved on. Forgiveness was for me, not for them.” She said.
“Is he going to remain in the cells?” Iza asked.
“Mom and Ollie have been given one of the three-bedroom apartments her in the packhouse. He’ll stay with them. He’ll help Ollie care for mom.” She started to explain. “I know she want to send as much time as she can with the three of us. When he’s not with mom, he will be striped of his rank and will be an unranked wolf. He will decide what type of work he wants to do. He will be on probation for ten years. There will be guards watching him, but he won’t know who they are. One mess up and he goes to the prison pack for the rest of his life. She finished.
“Wow,” Tarby said, “I’m not sure what to say.”
“You don’t need to say anything.” Safyer said. “If you want to see him, he should be at mom’s by now.” She said, “and no, he’s not invited.” She looked at Tarby, “I’m not ready to be in the same room with him.”
“I get it. I don’t have a problem with it.” Tarby softly smiled.
“Okay, then we will see you in about an hour.” Iza said.
“Yep,” Safyer smiled, “I need to get in some comfy clothes and my fuzzy bunny slippers.” She waved and went to her room.
Zoltan called the kitchen and asked them what to bring up to their room in an hour. He rearranged some of the furniture to make room for everybody. He threw pillows and blankets on the floor and set up the t.v. By the time everyone showed up the kitchen staff brought up the food Zoltan ordered.
“Okay, let’s see what the kitchen sent up,” Austin said, lifting the lid off one of the plates.
“EEEWWWEEEEE... REALLY?” He gagged. “They put this on a plate?”
“OOOOOOOO, gimme. This little bean has been demanding that wonderful treat.” Safyer grabbed the plate of sardines covered in chocolate peanut butter. She took one and bit into it with satisfaction. “Mmmmmmmm... yummy. Feel better bean?” she asked rubbing her tummy.
“So grosssssssssss.” Her brothers mumbled.
“Just think you have this to look forward to.”
