Chapter 38: What’s Happening to Amanda?

Gabriella.

"Let's go?" I invited Eury after Amanda and I finished eating.

"Where are we going, Gab?" she asked me.

"We'll go shopping for your stuff!" I replied.

"We will go shopping? My things? Where are you going to get money to take me shopping?" She asked me. I could clearly see the surprise on her face, so I just smiled at her and grabbed her hand.

I pulled her to the car we were going to use. I told the driver earlier, so he prepared the car.

"Are you sure about what you're saying, Gab? Explain all this to me!" she demanded an explanation.

I tilted my head before answering, "Aren't you wondering why I joined Amanda at breakfast?" I asked her.

"No. When you were here before, you were already eating with them."

I closed my eyes because she said, "Don't even ask me and come with me, Eury," I surrendered.

"Okay, but you need to tell me what happened to you! You've been gone for so long, and you just don't know how crazy it was for me to wonder where you are if rogue werewolves really killed you!"

"They almost killed me, Eury, but someone saved me then, and that's why I lived," I replied.

"There was someone who saved you? Who?"

I sighed before looking at Eury, "Listen, and I will tell you the story," I said. She looked at me thoughtfully before I started my story.

I told her from the beginning, where the rogue werewolves chased me until I opened my eyes in the Palace of Alpha Viktor.

While telling my stories, I saw in her eyes that she didn't believe what I said. I can't blame her because even I, at first, couldn't believe that I was still alive in the hands of rogue werewolves who wanted to kill me.

"How and what was Alpha Viktor doing in that place?" Eury asked me in surprise.

I took a deep breath before I answered her question, "According to him, he was heading here to Blood Lust Pack to see Javier. When they were on the road, he saw me being chased by rogue werewolves, so he followed me," I replied.

"I was unconscious a few days later, and since then, I have lived in Alpha Viktor's Palace, and he announced that I am his Second Chance Mate!" I continued.

"He announced that you are his Second Chance Mate?" Eury asked me, stammering.

I looked at her and saw the shock on her face. I was not surprised by her reaction because it is a normal reaction to know if an Alpha announced that his Second Chance Mate was an Omega.

"You're so lucky, Gabriella!" she gave her comment.

"That means Alpha Javier is no longer after you because you have a second chance, mate, and he already has a Luna, which is Amanda, right?" she asked.

"If we think about the circumstances, yes, but there is something I need to do, Eury! I will not allow him not to pay for what he did to me!" I replied.

Eury frowned because of what I said. I know it made her think, and she will ask me questions.

"What do you mean, Gab?" she inquired.

"Let's not talk about that thing here," I said. She knew what I meant because she also looked at our driver.

When we got to the shopping mall, we bought Eury's things. Alpha Viktor gave me money to use, and since I couldn't spend it all, I thought of using the extra for Eury.

I could see the joy on her face as we shopped for her things. I know it's been a long time since we last went here to the shopping mall.

After we finished shopping for Eury's things, we had lunch in a restaurant. This is the first time Eury will enter a restaurant, and I can see the amazement on her face as we follow the waiter to our table.

"I can't believe I'm experiencing this, Gab!" she said while looking around the restaurant.

I smiled while looking at her and said, "While I'm with you, Eury, expect to experience a lot more that we didn't experience in Blood Lust," I said.

When we got to our table, we ordered our food, and while waiting, I started to find out what was going on at the Palace.

"Tell me, Eury, what is going on inside the Palace without me?" I directly asked her.

She frowned before saying, "If only you knew what happened because of that Witch Amand, Gab! If only we maids had the skills to fight her, we would be done it!"

"Why? What is she doing?"

"Ever since Amanda and Alpha Javier got married, and Alpha Bernard and Luna Gladys left, she thinks of herself as the highest of all!" she started telling me what was happening inside the Palace.

"Yes, we know that she is the Luna, but what she does is not fair!" she continued.

"She makes us maids suffer. For the slightest mistake, she punishes us. Usually, when we make even the slightest mistake, we don't get to eat for the rest of the day. Some of the maids, she locks up and tortures them!" Eury admitted to me.

I frowned because of what Eury said to me.

"I know it's hard to believe what I said because if you look at her, she looks like an angel, but inside, she is a devil!" she continued.

"Then, the saying "First impression didn't last!" is true," I murmured.

"You are definitely right, Gab! If I were going to go somewhere else, I would have done it! But since you're back, I'm going to stay here!"

After we ate, we decided to go back to the palace. Amanda greeted us with an evil look on both of us and Eury's.

Amanda glared deadly at us, "Where have you been, Eury?" She asked Eury, and her voice seemed angry.

" You abandon your work here in the palace! What do you expect, I am the one who will do your work?" she continued.

I closed my eyes and sighed deeply, "I asked Eury to accompany me to the mall," I answered her questions.

Amanda raised her eyebrows, "Not because you are not already a maid here. You can do whatever you want, Gabriella! I want to remind you that I, the Luna of this pack, will approve all the things happening here in the palace!" she stated.

I walked to face her. I felt Eury's hand trying to stop me, but I didn't stop him.

"Not because you are the Luna in this pack. You can control all of us, Luna Amanda. I just want to remind you. Also, the only thing I will listen to is Alpha Javier's orders, not to someone like you!" I answered bravely.

"If you think you can scare me, Gabriella, you are mistaken!" she said.

"I'm not scaring you, Luna Amanda, and I just reminded you where you should be!" I replied, looking at her sharply.

She chuckled, "You're the one who dares to tell me like that? Where is my position?" she said sarcastically.

"I am the Luna of this pack, so you must not say those words to me!" she yelled at me.

I tilted myself and gave her a devil smile, "I know you know the truth, Luna Amanda. You are not the destined mate of Alpha Javier, and second, he just married you because the Bloodlust needs you, needs the support of your pack!"

Her eyes glazed over, her brow furrowed, and I saw her hand shaking.

"That's not true, Gabriella! He married me because he loves me!" She told me what she believed.

"If what you say is true, why did he bring me back here, Luna Amanda?" I asked her.

"He brought me back here to the Bloodlust Pack because I'm what he's been looking for, I'm what he needs, I'm what he loves!" I said.

I grinned at her, "To tell you the truth, I agreed to come back here because of Alpha Javier!" I admitted, which made her eyes wide open.

I just looked at her until she knelt on the floor. She tweaked her hair.

"No...no..no!! Could you stop telling me lies? Stop telling nonsense words!!" she repeatedly said, tweaking herself like crazy.

I looked at Eury. She was also surprised by what Amanda was showing now.

After a while, Amanda looked at me. Her eyes were red, and her once angelic face turned into that of a mad woman.

Amanda smiled at me. She stood up and faced me.

"Be careful, Gabriella. There is some news that some rogue werewolves are here at Bloodlust pack!" she warned me before she left.

I frowned. Eury and I looked at each other.

"What happened to her?" I asked in surprise.

Eury shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know!" she answered.
