Chapter 87 - The Luna He Rejected
After the explosion, the room was filled with dust. One of the walls had crumbled down, killing some of the attendants. We would have to sort that out, but first we needed to find Bianca. Thankfully, we hadn’t separated, as time was a priority right now.
“Love, I can still smell her scent, she is near, but she is moving fast.” Kaid told me while he coughed because of the dust.
“Leave that to me. She is not escaping ever again.” My determination was huge, I was not going to let her run. She had to pay for what she had done, for all the suffering she had caused.
I moved the stones with my magic. Esmeralda also helped to clear the dust and attend to the injured, while Kaid and I fled the courtroom to where Bianca had gone.
To plan something like this she needed to have help from someone on the inside. The explosive was something that she couldn’t have done on her own, so who was the mole?
“Probably one of the idiots in the council that want you dead.” Most likely. Athena, can track her down?
“Yes! She is not escaping us.”
I let Athena take over me. The good thing is that we could transform into our wolf or our Lycan, and right now I wanted Athena to be in full control. She was the best tracker, and so at full speed she ran following Bianca’s scent. Kaid was just behind me, he too shifted into Atlas, but we were faster than them now.
“Ivy, slow down.” Kaid mind linked me, but I couldn’t let her escape.
“I got this Kaid!” I told him, and closed the link, because I knew that he was going to try to convince me of not going alone.
Based on her scent, it was clear that she was not alone, but the people that were with her were no match for me and Athena.
I could see the forest move quickly as I ran, the greenery looked like a blur with how fast I moved. That was until I heard some voices, making me slow down to hear what they were saying.
“What are you doing? So useless!” Bianca yelled at one of the wolves that accompanied her.
“Someone is tracking us, Miss, we need to continue moving.” Wolf number one told her.
“Ugh! And where are we going to go?” The two men sighed in frustration. I couldn’t believe it either, they were helping her escape and she was still behaving like a brat.
“We don’t know Miss, they just told us to take you to the north, from there our Alpha waits for you.” Hmmm, apart from Alexander, I didn’t know more Alphas from the north, but it was clear that it wasn’t him, so who was it?
“Then take me there! So useless.” One of the wolves growled at her, it wasn’t a loud growl, just one that came out of instinct because of the way she was behaving, but of course, Bianca had to behave like a bitch.
“Did you just grow at me?” Her voice got a high pitch that was making my ears bleed.
“No Miss, we should go, someone is-.” But he couldn’t finish what he said because I heard a slap so loud that it definitely left a mark on whoever received it.
“You know what bitch? I’m done. Alex let’s go.” The fear that took over Bianca was palpable, she didn’t expect that they wouldn’t take over her shit. But of course, she couldn’t let that show, her pride couldn’t be hurt.
“Leave then, your Alpha is going to kill you.” That was an intelligent move, and even made them quiet for a moment. Probably, reconsidering their options.
“Probably, but we are tired of you. Either way, we can become rogues again.” Bianca panics and screams at the top of her lungs. They just laughed at her and left.
Bianca started talking out loud, how she didn’t have a cellphone, meaning that she couldn’t communicate with anyone, or she would make them pay. I left my hiding place and went behind her.
“Hello sister.” I said and she jumped. It was clear that she didn’t expect me to be there, but she tried not to show her fear or surprise.
“It took you a while.” She smirked as she was trying to act tough, but I could see through her facade easily.
“Cut the crap Bianca, I saw how they abandoned you.” Her smirk fell, but now she was giving me a murderous glance.
“So what? You came here to gloat? Even if you win, a lot of people paid a high price to know where the mythical white wolf was, and even more to know her identity.” That was probably how she got help, by using that information. Stupid bitch.
“No Bianca, I came here to kill you. If you continue living you will only bring more damage. You are evil, Bianca, and nothing can help you.” I growled at her. She just laughed at me, like she had won.
That was infuriating me, but I had to keep my cool, or she would win. That was what she sought, because that could be the only way she would win, but I was not going to give her the satisfaction of seeing me lose my temper.
“You think that because you got to my mother you can get to me? No, Ivy. My mom killed your bitch of a mother, and now I’ll kill you.” I laughed at her remark. Did she really think she was strong enough to beat me?
“And how are you going to do that? Last time we fought I almost killed you, and I wasn’t even trying.” Her smirk appeared once again, like she had something under her sleeve.
“Because you won’t kill me as I know where our mother’s journal is.” A journal? Could I have some insight from my mother? It was a great clue, but was it true?
“And you are going to give me the journal?” Of course Bianca started laughing, but I got what I wanted. Thankfully, we had kept my mind reading ability a secret.
“Of course, but only if you reject Kaid.” What? Was she mad?
“And why would I do that?”
“Because if you don’t, you won’t have children, ever. A small pact I made with a dark witch, of course.” WHAT?
I saw fucking red, how dare she! I lunched to her, and she smiled like she had gotten what she wanted. I was furious, I wanted to rip her throat open.
She dodged my attack and punched me in my side. The air left my lungs and I groaned in pain. I was starting to feel weak, when I looked at my side and saw a knife.
“You are so naive, my dear sister. I know neither silver nor wolfsbane have an effect on you, but this does.” My body felt numb, I couldn’t move my arms.
“What is this?” I tried to talk, but my tongue was suffering the effects of whatever she injected me with.
“Moon flower. It is very rare, but thankfully I’m not the only one that wants you dead.” She laughed hysterically. This was it, the end of my life.
“By now you shouldn’t be able to move a muscle.” She took my arm and lifted it up, only for it to drop like it was dead. Bianca smiled triumphantly, seeing that I was at her mercy.
She took a knife that she had hidden and approached me.
“Time for you to die bitch.”
Kaid’s POV
I tried to match Ivy’s speed, but she was fast. The only thing that showed me the way was her scent, but then it started to fade, meaning that she had masked it. Thankfully, she had to be close, so it shouldn’t be that hard to locate her.
I was going to try to mind link her once again when I felt a pain on my side. Of course, it wasn’t mine, so it could only mean one thing: Ivy was in danger.
I darted through the forest. I had to find Ivy, and I had to do it quickly. Finally, my efforts succeeded, and I could hear Bianca speaking, but I didn’t like what she was telling Ivy. My mate wasn’t answering back, and that wasn’t a good sign.
I jumped some bushes and found myself only a few meters from them, when I saw Bianca lift a knife to pierce Ivy. And then, all I saw was blood.
