Chapter 16 One Hell Of A Day.
Lily's pov:
After Alex left, Jason and Ryan slumped into Creed's couch that’s up against the wall by his desk.
“This is crazy, man” Jason says while rubbing a hand down his face, he looks up at us and sighs.
“I don’t know what to say but I know whatever happens I’m here for you, Creed, whatever you need just say the word. I can be the one left in charge, we both know Ryan gets the upper hand on me 90% of the time.. he’s stronger in the fighting area, I’m a lot smarter tho and feel I can make sure the tribe is running smoothly and no one suspects you are gone or missing. “. Creed nods his head for a second before speaking.
“I think that’s a good idea actually, I know that if it comes down to a fight I’ll need Ryan there, you also know exactly how I like things done so I trust you can handle things here.”
“Alright, that’s settled now, I’m off to bed, seems like this will be the last night I’ll get any sleep for awhile” Jason chuckles and stands up, Ryan gets up too.
“Yeah I’m off to bed too, I already knew I’d be coming to find you, I’m the best fighter you got I’d never leave you in a fight without me.” Ryan waves before exiting Creed's office. Creed runs a hand through his hair and heaves a heavy sigh.
“We should go to bed to, tomorrow is gonna be a long day and it’s only gonna get worse until we find your mom”
“Is it okay if I crash with you tonight? I’m worried about my mother.. I don’t think I’ll be getting any sleep tonight” I say softly. Creed smiles at me, takes my hand and squeezes it lovingly.
“Yes of course, sweetheart. You don’t have to ask you know, I’ll always be here for you” creed says and he warmly smiles down at me.
“Okay, lead the way” I smile back.
Creed tugs me along with him, down the tribe houses halls, it’s so eerily quiet at night.
Creeds humming, literally humming while walking to his room.
“How can you be humming right now, when we’re walking into what looks like our death” I ask him with a grimace on my face, scanning the area.
Creed laughs at me and shakes his head. “I’ve lived here my whole life Lily, I’ve gotten used to the darkness and quiet here around the halls. I love it here, it’s my home, my happiness” creed actually looks content while speaking, and it makes me realize how important the tribe actually is to creed. It makes me want to try harder, as his mate and queen.
Creed pov.
Talking to Lily is as easy as making pie, not that making a pie is easy, but you know the saying.
“Well we’re here now, no more need to be scared of the shadows” I tease her. Lily rolls her eyes, and swats at me playfully.
“Don’t tease me Creed, you might not like the outcome.” Lily winks at me and strolls towards my closet, when she gets there she opens the closet doors and peers inside; I stand there watching, waiting to see what she’ll do. She has one hand on her hip and her other hand rubbing her chin thoughtfully. She decided to grab a pair of grey sweats and a plain t-shirt, she places them in the crook of her arm and turns back towards me.
“I’m gonna have a shower now, since I didn’t get to do that earlier; then I’m gonna try and get some sleep. Your bed looks comfy, better than any bed I’ve slept on, that’s for sure.”
“Go ahead; do whatever you need to do sweets, everything that’s mine is yours.” I reply. She smiles at me, nods and walks towards the bathroom, I notice she leaves the door slightly open, like what I did. It feels like a dare and my ego won’t let me back down, i roll my shoulders and slowly walk towards the door.
‘We should do more than just look at our mate creed; we should take her right in the shower; claim her as ours’ hunter growls out. I can feel myself getting aroused, hunters putting all kinds of different pictures and ideas of our mate. I step back, no. I would never do something I knew she wasn’t ready for, this. She is not ready for it. I won’t let myself lose control, I step back again, venturing over to the balcony to get some air. When I’m outside I have to take deep breaths, to calm my racing heart.
‘It’s normal for us to want our mate Creed, it’s in my nature to claim what is mine.. im afraid I won’t be able to wait all that much longer’ hunter whimpers, actually whimpers in my head.
‘It’s okay hunter, we just have to wait a couple more weeks, we need to go find her mother.. you and I both know this trip isn’t going to end well, something is going to happen,I feel it.’ Me and hunter both growl at the thought.
I look around, noticing there’s still quite a few people out and about at such a late time. Some people look like they’re carrying groceries, some look like they just got off of work, even people getting ready to go to work, restaurants are just starting to close down, all the kids have been put to bed.
I sigh in contentment. I love my tribe, I ensure everything is running smoothly here, everyone has what they need, no unnecessary fights, no killing. I have the training arena set up in the forest, a secluded area, every single tribe member will get basic training and then the members who excel in fighting and those who want to get better go up a step, the rest who got their basic skills and training done went to find jobs in the tribes, letting everyone who’s an excellent fighter become a warrior to protect the tribe.
My eyes keep scanning around, making sure everything is okay outside, I don’t notice anything wrong so I decide to go back inside and see if Lily is out of the shower now.
Lilys pov.
When I got into the bathroom I left the door open a tiny bit just like creed did. I took my dirty clothes off and threw them on the floor. I quickly looked at myself in the mirror and could see my eyes glowing faintly, I shook my head a little and turned the shower on, I stepped inside the shower. It's got two shower heads, black tile and glass walls, plus a glass door. I sigh in contentment when the warm water hits my face, it’s been a long day and I want nothing more than to just curl up in creeds nice, cozy bed and pass out. I washed my hair, but I did have to use creeds stuff considering I had nothing of mine here. I’ll have to borrow some of Alexandra’s stuff in the morning before we leave, there’s no way I can fight in creeds oversized clothing.
‘Lily, I’m so happy here. My soul is at peace, all that’s left is our safety and making the tribe know who we really are, eventually. Creed and Hunter are amazing, I’m so glad we were blessed with such mates.’ Sapphire purrs.
I just laugh and turn the shower off, when I step out I grab a towel from the cabinet behind the bathroom door. I basically throw creeds clothes on to get out of the bathroom and back to him, I wonder if he actually peaked in here or not, when I open the bathroom door and step into the bedroom creed is just coming in from outside. Oh i think to myself he was outside the whole time..
“Hey how was your shower beautiful?” Creed asks with a smile. I give him a small smile back before replying.
“It was amazing; your shower is great, nothing I’ve ever had growing up. I could get used to it.” I flop on creeds bed and nusle into the bedding.
“You’re telling me; I shower in there everyday.” Creed says teasingly.
“Tsk tsk, no teasing.” I shoot a glare at creed. He just smiles and climbs into the bed beside me.
“We should try and get some sleep, tomorrows going to be one hell of a day.” Creed sighs.
“Yes it is definitely gonna be one hell of a day.” I agree with him. Creed pulls me flush againsed him and I fall into a blissful sleep beside my mate for the first time.
