Chapter 105 Goddess Realm

Chapter 105 Goddess Realm
Lily’s pov.
“What the hell?” I mutter out loud as I open my eyes to a blinding light.

I blink my eyes, trying to adjust.

When I open them one last time I’m met with a field of lilies and carnations, with the biggest, brightest sun shining in the sky.

“Lily,” I hear the voice of Sapphire, but it’s not in my head, it’s behind me.

I turned around quickly, met with the sight of Sapphire's huge form.

“Wow,” I breathed out, looking at my dragon in astonishment, “how is this even possible? I never thought I’d be able to see you like this.”

“We’re with the goddess, Lily. We must go speak with her, come with me,” she says, but her mouth doesn’t move.

She starts heading towards the sun behind me, I scramble to catch up with her.

“Wait!” I called out, “where exactly are we going?”

“To the double sided mirror of Selene. The goddess’s essence is inside of it, allowing her to see what happens down on earth,” her majestic voice echoes across the field.

I follow behind her as she leads me towards the goddess.

A million thoughts racing through my mind.

“The goddess? We’re with the goddess?” I breathe out in disbelief, my eyes wide as I try to take it all in.

“Yes,” Sapphire says softly, continuing in her path, “we almost died. Lily, the goddess isn’t very happy with us.”

I swallowed the lump in my throat, nodding my head as I mentally prepared myself for whatever the goddess had to say to me.

We walked through the field in silence, a comfortable feeling surrounding me.

I sigh contentedly, wanting to be this way with my dragon forever.

“You won’t feel that way after you see what is happening on earth, my child,” a soft, majestic voice echoes throughout the field.

Making me gasp as I spin around, searching for the voice.

A beautiful woman comes out of nowhere, her aura powerful enough to bring me to my knees.

“Goddess,” I whisper in awe, staring at her beautiful blue eyes and long red hair that cascades down her back.

“Oh child,” she whispers as she walks up to me, placing her hand under my chin and making me look up into her eyes.

“What am I doing here goddess?” I asked unsure, wanting so badly to get back to my family.

“I know you want to get back to them, my dear… but your body and dragon are weak. You dabbled in the wrong magic, Lily. You should have stayed away from the dark magic, it almost consumed you” she says, looking at me with a disappointed look on her face.

“I’m sorry, goddess. I did what needed to be done,” I whispered, looking towards Sapphire before looking back at her, “I assure you I won’t ever be using dark magic again.”

“No, you won’t,” she replied softly, looking at Sapphire sadly, “I’ll be taking most of your powers away, Lily.”

My heartbeat raced inside of my chest, my eyes darting from her to Sapphire.

Take my powers?

Why?

They are a part of me.

“I’m sorry, child. It’s what needs to happen. I won’t take them all. You’ll still have your fire and healing magic. Everything else… will be taken away before I can send you back to your family,” the goddess says softly, placing a hand onto my shoulder, “your magic doesn’t define you, Lily.”

“I’ll do whatever it takes or get back to my family, goddess,” I replied, looking up at her determined.

“And that you will,” she smiled, placing her hand on my head, closing her eyes while her lips moved soundlessly, “there. Before you can go… I must show you something.”

Tiny tingles ran through my body quickly before they were gone.

I blink my eyes a few times before following the goddess in the direction she went in.

“This is what is happening currently, my child,” she says, sounding so sad.

I walk up to the double sided mirror in front of her…

Taking slow, cautious steps.

My heartbeat pounding in my chest.

I clench my fists as I take the last step towards it, peering inside.

My mouth drops open as a gasp slips past my lips.

“That- that maid! They poisoned Mazikeen!” I screamed, a gut wrenching sob tearing out of my throat.

“My child, calm yourself. You’re the only one who can save her… in order to get back there you need to be calm, your head needs to be cleared. I can only help you partially, it’s all up to you,” she says as she grabs my arms, making me listen to her.

I nod my head, tears falling from my eyes.

“Listen to me, child. It’s been all of an hour or two here but down there, it’s been days maybe more. Time works differently here, we must hurry. Mazikeen doesn’t have much time, no one suspects that she’s been poisoned,” she says quickly, making sure I absorb every word.

“I- I understand,” I stuttered, trying to get the thousand and one thoughts out of my head.

I close my eyes and try to make them go away, but I grunt as more things pop into my head.

“Stop, stop thinking. You just get back home, the only thing you should even have in your head is Mazikeen, and how you’ll save her when you get back to her. No one can save her but you, Lily.”

Her words echo through my mind, each thought about Mazikeen making my heartbeat faster, more unsteady.

I clench my fists and grit my teeth, growling as I feel my body tingling.

My eyes shoot open and I feel Sapphire's presence slowly seeping back into me, her strength fueling me, making it easier to clear my mind.

“I’m coming for you Mazikeen,” I said out loud, a silent promise, “mom won’t let anyone hurt you.”

“Until we meet again, my child,” I heard the goddess’s voice say as my vision clouded and turned dark.
