"The West is not ready for war! What is happening, how did Beta Kasim die?!"

When the morning comes unexpected news on Alpha Xander from the West brought my mind a lot of concerns. His Beta is murdered, and someone from the pack has given him poison. Now aside from the few warriors of the Royal pack that helps his army nothing makes Alpha Xander more vulnerable than the news of his Beta being poisoned.

"Rio is still out there, now he could be staging an attack."

Beta Derek muttered before he sips on his coffee and meets my eyes. "That is what I was thinking too and perhaps he is the one responsible for the death of Alpha Xander's Beta. Damn that serpent!"

I gritted my teeth, I have already thought about it from the moment the news came. I let out a harsh breath. "What a good way to start the day!"

Beta Derek put the cup of coffee back in his saucer. "My apologies your majesty, that you have to be the first one to learn the news."

I look at the cup of coffee in my table, and listen to the faint sound of footsteps coming. My back leaned against the soft chair as I refuse to take on the coffee, my appetite is gone. I know who is coming to the office this early, I counted three seconds in my mind, and then the door quickly opened.

"Your majesty, have you heard about the news!?"

Mrs. Venus Harger with her tear filled face yet gorgeous outfit in a silky long dress with two slits on the side showing her long pair of flawless legs. Not one can ever tell that this woman is almost twice my age. Her expression changes when she saw that Beta Derek is in the single couch at the corner of my office. 

"Oh, I'm sorry your majesty. Good morning, I deeply apologize for the late greetings. I was crushed with the news from my son. Poor Beta Kasim, he didn't deserve to die."

"Good morning to you too Mrs. Harger."

Beta Derek smiled at her and then realize the sad news, he cleared his throat and fix himself on the couch. "I hope you are well today Mrs. Harger."

He spoke softly, being mindful of the woman's feelings. "Thank you for the concern Beta Derek, I am glad to be here and grateful for the training lessons but I think I must leave. My son needs me back in the West."

I look at her and finally decided to tell her what is the plan. "I am instructing the warriors to go with you Mrs. Harger and that includes myself. We will leave as soon as possible."

Her eyes went wide as she took a step near my desk. "Your majesty, I am honored to be accompanied by you on the long travel. Thank you so much."

She bows her head in complete surprise so I made another statement about why I am coming. "I am coming due to some facts that Rio could be staging an attack on the West. Your son also cannot determine who has the motive to poison Beta Kasim, now we are waiting for Maleficus to tell us the identity of the wolf that did it. Please have a sit Mrs. Harger and try to calm yourself."

She follows my direction putting herself in the long couch. Beta Derek look at her. "Can I ask somebody to bring you a cup of coffee Mrs. Harger?"

"Oh, no Beta Derek. Thank you."

She fix herself in the sit and smile at him, if I am right Mrs. Harger has been flirting with my Beta for a while but Beta Derek is acting like he doesn't notice at all. He told me once that he doesn't need any relationship and that all he wants is to make sure that Carmela is safe and as well as the wolves in our pack.

The three knocks on the office door tells me that the old man has arrive. My eyes watch the door handle move slowly and then maleficus get in. 

"Good morning your majesty! Beta Derek and to you Mrs. Harger."

He bows his head a little to greet me and then walk inside the office. "You are late old man." I noted without humor.

"My apologies your majesty, some visions have made me woke up late. But I am aware that you are waiting for me."

This time his head bow lower and he didn't look up until I wave my hand. "Come forward and sit in front of me I wanted to know what are those visions."

The old man walk slowly and took a seat in front of me. Both Beta Derek and Mrs. Harger became silent, they have notice the difference in my voice. The wolves can feel the anger boiling in my nerves, I would hate to leave and let Ashley be alone in the Palace. I despise whoever is making chaos in the West.

"Your majesty, you have to get ready for the big fight in the West. It is going to happen after the burial of Alpha Xander's Beta. His enemy will come bringing a full forced army with weapons and wolves that are hungry for the kill. Things could get terrible just like your fights before but this time it is also dangerous."

I slammed my fist on the desk hard enough causing it to break and shatter to the floor. Mrs. Harger gasped and her lips tremble, as fear crawled on her skin.

"My apologies Mrs. Harger but I think it is best if you pack your things now and wait until the warriors escort you for the journey back to the West."

Maleficus told her in concern, that she could not stand it if an Alpha King like myself discharges too much anger. The low-level wolves would always be vulnerable in the presence of an angry Alpha King.

"Yes, Thank you Maleficus. I will take my leave now your majesty."

She bows her head to me and then took a step back to head out of the office. "You must relax your majesty. The West needs your support this time. However, if you wish, I can go there and help the young Alpha instead. The Queen might not be please to know that you will have to go there again."

Beta Derek stated with a sincere apology in his eyes. Maleficus cleared his throat and look at Beta Derek. "It will take a lot of effort and too many deaths from the warriors of the Royal pack and the Western pack Beta Derek. Your lead could be an option but to avoid wasting so much blood and sacrifices, Alpha King Vincent is their best alternative."

I shook my head. "You stay here Beta Derek, protect the Queeb with your life, and train well the young warriors of the pack. Wolves like Rio must be eliminated and all their followers should submit to Alpha Xander no matter how young he is. They might not be confident enough in his lead because he is still so young and the only family he has is his mother and Beta Kasim."

Beta Derek look me straight in the eye. "Then I will give you my word Alpha King Vincent. Luna Queen Ashley will be safe and I will do my everything to make days young warriors learn early. Just like Alpha Xander who took on a big responsibility at such a young age, the young wolves in our pack should get better too."

I nodded my head, my Kingdom is lucky to have Beta Derek. My father was right about the decision to keep him on the title. He is someone very reliable and easy for other wolves to get along with.

"Thank you, Beta Derek."

He bows his head to me, and as I let Maleficus continue his vision my mind is thinking about how I could tell Ashley without making her upset that I have to leave.
