Chapter 14 She saw the light in his eyes
He pulled her on his shoulder and stepped up on his horse.
" My king......," Raymond was behind him, Orion was standing far away but here he could see whatever was going on.
"You filthy thing! How dare you?" Orion was standing on the branch of the tree, and he fisted while seeing her in Ezra's arms.
Ezra brings her to her father's house, he knocks on the door and Esperanza's mother opens the door.
He was carrying her into his arms. Her mother was stunned when she found her daughter in the dragon's arms.
"She fainted," Ezra said, and her mother let him in.
" Emerson, Emerson," she shouted, and Ezra placed Esperanza on the kline.
He was rubbing her hand and caressing her hair.
"Do we have someone to look at her and find out what has happened to her?" Ezra asked.
Concern and anxiety were specific on his face.
Her mother's heart was striking and her body was trembling.
"Do not be afraid, I am not going to do anything," Ezra clarifies.
"We... We do not have anybody to treat people," her mother said.
"What?" He frowned.
"Raymond.....," he shouted, and Raymond, who was standing outside, was engrossed in the notion.
"Yes my king," he asked.
"We need to take her to our kingdom," He said.
"No.... You cannot take her," her mother said and Ezra glared at her.
"So what do you want? Let her suffer," Ezra asked with a growl.
In that instant, Emerson ran to the room.
"What.... My king," he kneeled, and behind him, there was Caspian, who followed his steps.
In his heart, he was overfilled with rage.
"What are you doing here?" Emerson asked.
"Get up," Ezra said and Emerson saw Esperanza lifeless on the kline.
"What happened to my daughter?" He looked in horror at Ezra.
" King, did not do anything to her; she fainted," Raymond said.
"This cannot be; this never happened to her." Emerson was doubting Ezra.
"This will happen if you let that delicate thing do this much work," Ezra says, seeming furious with Emerson.
"If I could, I would tear you for doing this," Ezra said, and Raymond clutched his sword. Caspian and Miranda's eyes widened.
" No... Please," Amanda whispered.
" Do not, Raymond," He commanded, and Raymond nodded.
"Pardon me my King," Emerson apologized.
"After she got married she would not be doing any of that, even from today," Emerson said.
"Married? What do you mean? Whom is she going to marry?" Ezra was shocked and furious after hearing this.
"My King, meet my son-in-law Caspian," He said, and Caspian did not dare to look up.
"So that is the coward you chose for her," Ezra frowned.
"My King, he is the richest man in the valley," Emerson said.
" So you really are." Ezra gets close to him, and he looks up to him while kneeling; his soul lets his body go when Ezra goes a bit deep into his being.
"No.... No, I am not, and I am not going to marry her, I am leaving, please my Kin,g, forgive me.......," he let out and ran straight out of the house.
"How could you be so ruthless with your daughter?" Ezra asks.
Emerson was ashamed because of Caspian; he was the only way he could save her, but at the peak point, he betrayed him.
"I think you are right my King, Esperanza always says the same thing," Emerson said.
"We should consider her for once, you are doing this for her protection, but he cannot be protective." Miranda placed her hand on Emerson's shoulder.
Ezra had done what he planned in his mind; that was not an enormous concern for him, but he was making his path clear by not dealing with any chaos.
" Is she your real daughter?" Suddenly Raymond asked a very unusual and flustering question.
"What do you mean Raymond?" Esra felt dumbfounded by Raymond, but then he predicted her parents' reaction.
They were frozen in their place, not any expression nor any debate, their body language shows that Raymond had spoken the truth.
Ezra then took a very precise look at their appearance and did not find any similarities with her.
"She does not belong to you," Ezra said.
" No.... She is our daughter, our life," Her mother comes forward and lets out.
"That's a fundamental thing, we follow our ancestry and there is no trace of your ancestry in her presence," Raymond inquired.
"Maybe you people are lying," Raymond was ruthless he had predicted something unique and impending,
"She does not belong here," Raymond narrowed his eyes at them.
" What is he saying?" Miranda's body was trembling enormously, and her nerves were getting frantic.
" You need to calm down," Raymond, Ezra commanded, but Raymond did not move a bit.
"Do not forget," Raymond warned her.
"Or..... Orion.....," she whispered.
"Who is Orion?" Ezra turned his eyes on Emerson.
" I do not know, maybe he is one of her friends," Emerson said.
"Which friend?" Ezra was getting possessive about her.
" I... I do not know," Emerson said.
He got close to her and tried to recognize her illness because her mother can see different illnesses and can cure them.
"I cannot catch that," Ezra was disdainful for not finding her illness.
" But there is no disease that you cannot get," Raymond frowned.
"But today that happened," Ezra replied.
"Orion.....," she let out again, and now near his ear.
" Do .... not ...... go.....," she let out while her eyes were closed and her forehead was embraced with little pearls.
"Esperanza, open your eyes......," Ezra got close to her and caressed her forehead.
Esperanza's mother wanted to take her daughter but Raymond stopped her with his hand.
He glared at her and Emerson stopped her.
He cleaned her sweat with his hand, he clutched her hand, and found some sensation going through her body.
"I think we should take her," Ezra said.
"She will be okay here, she is a human, she cannot get to that dragon kingdom," Emerson said.
"You can sneak in but she cannot go while the king is letting her," Ezra said.
"My King, my daughter is really naive and innocent, please do not do this with her," Emerson requested.
"I am not doing anything with her, everything will take place as her heart compels," Ezra replied. He took her into his arms, and Raymond opened the door for him.
"Do not worry, she will be alright," Ezra said, and took her with him.
"If anything happened to my daughter, I would not let you go with hands down," Emerson said before he left.
Raymond heard him and got him down under his shoe.
" And you are so foolish to hassle with a dragon king," Ezra smirked.
Let him go, let's leave, Ezra said and Raymond let him go.
He took her on his horse, clutching her body just close to her and wrapping her all around.
There were butterflies all over in his stomach, and his being was feeling new with her this close touch, he had never felt that bland and peaceful.
"I wish this moment would never end," Ezra let out in his heart and grabbed her hand closer around his stomach.
"This is my one and only choice, no one would take her place ever, but I have to make her mine, before she could think," He was proposing in his mind, suddenly Raymond asked.
"There is something strange about that girl," He said.
"She is just so innocent and soft, nothing else," Ezra said.
" No, this is not the problem, the problem is how she can predict that golden light in your eyes," Raymond said.
"What golden light?" He asked.
" Before fainting, she said that she saw that golden ray in your eyes," Raymond said.
"Maybe that was a ray," Ezra said.
"No, this light is a part of your being; everyone from your family has a sprint in their eyes, but no one can predict it," Raymond said.
" I..... Do not know what you are talking about," Ezra frowned and they kept moving.
