Chapter 13 Some nightmares are following me
" She was utterly beautiful; I have never seen this kind of beauty before. I have been more than eighty years old and never saw someone as beautiful as her." Raymond also did not contradict him.
"So you agree?" He asked and Raymond nodded.
"I never step back from praising something fascinating," Raymond said.
"But humans are good for getting your nerves down only, but not for marriage," Raymond said.
"Thank you for your trash words," Ezra said, Raymond smiled.
"What are you hoping to do today?" Raymond asked.
"I am going to do what I promised yesterday to those humans, we need a force," Ezra said.
"Were you serious about that?" Raymond frowned.
"Yes, I am serious; we have to do this before those people die from lack of water," Ezra said, and Raymond nodded.
"But what are you going to do for the kingdom?" Raymond asks.
" Let's visit the manufacturing of interest, the only thing I wanted to demolish first was corruption," Ezra said.
" A very divine start," Raymond said.
"But first, we are heading off to the human valley, I do not want to delay my promises," Ezra said, and Raymond chuckled.
"Maybe they were trying to forget the incident as a nightmare," Raymond said.
"They are afraid of us," Raymond was trying to close all the doors.
"They need to know whose territory they belong to," Ezra let out and went to get ready.
He wore a white silk tunic and a white silk sack, and on top of that, a golden cloak.
He ruffles his hair, and that looks perfect, simple, and royal.
"Please my lord, see your father before leaving," Raymond requested.
Ezra gasped and turned to his father's room.
Wayne was sitting on the chair while looking at the miniature three-dimensional sculpture of the kingdom. He predicted his presence and looked up.
"Welcome son," he said.
"Father," he gets to him and pats his hand.
"Where were you last night?" Wayne asked. He was silent and shocked.
"You started your work very early," Wayne said.
"That's what I have committed," Ezra let out.
" Or you were extremely eager to visit that valley," Wayne makes him alert.
" So he gives you all the stated information," Ezra smirked.
"I want you to get married, and I am looking for someone who will be ultimately powerful like you, and will know how to engage things in the royal kingdom," Wayne said.
"No, father, I would never accept someone like that,"
"You decided everything for me, but this is something I want to decide for myself," Ezra was clear, and that was against the rules.
"But a human?" Wayne asked.
"If you lay your hands on her or her family, then you will see my power," Exra said and left.
He came out and peeked at Raymond.
"I thought you were someone whom I could trust," Ezra said and walked away.
" My king," Raymond, tries to elaborate, but he has passed.
He got on his horse with his men, they were a group of earth dragons who could build anything with a snap of their fingers.
"Everyone ready?" He asked, and they hailed with enthusiasm.
"From some distance," he saw Raymond coming on his horse.
He rolled his eyes and looked away.
" I cannot let you do anything alone. I am with you like your shadow. Even if you don't like it, I am standing to bestow my life for you," Raymond said.
" You need to be confidential; if you cannot, then I have many other options," Ezra said.
"But no one can beat me," Raymond smirked.
"That's why I am forgiving you," Ezra nodded, and they left to see the human valley.
Esperanza was immersed in her thoughts; she seemed to be tired, her face looked dull, and her body was not working well.
She was trying to pull the wine cellar, but her hands were not letting her.
She was about to fall and suddenly a hand lifted her and the cellar effortlessly.
She gazed back and saw Orion's hand snaking around her waist.
"You....," she whispered and he gave her a lovable smile.
"So what do you want? You cannot astray me Esperanza," he let out while looking profoundly into her eyes.
"You cannot deny it as well, I was the first man you saw in your life, and at a very young age you bestowed your heart on me," He said and pulled that wine cellar on his shoulder, she smiled and looked down.
"I was oblivious to whatever you are saying," Esperanza said.
"Maybe your dragons get mature before time," Esperanza said.
" No, we do not, but the situation made us, you cannot even imagine," Orion's face was emotionless and painful, his face seemed straight and harsh.
" What is that thing? Maybe I can understand, if you let me," Esperanza said.
"If I facile my past, you would not be left to deduce," he said.
" If you let me, I would love to know about you," Esperanza said. He stopped and looked into her eyes, then gazed at her lips. She felt that suddenly and hid her lips with her hands.
"Do not do this again, not that time," she said, and he looked amazed.
" You are pretty immature," Orion said.
" Yes, I am walking with the right time, not like you, in the age of being pampered, got a sword in my hands," she said, and he felt that.
Esperanza predicted it and apologized for it in that instance.
"I.... I am sorry," she let out with a quivering voice but his stiff face went frozen.
"I was not saying that;" she felt it too. There was something behind his harshness.
"Do not be sorry, you are the one and only person who can say anything to me," Orion replied.
She smiled so decorously as she took his heart and breath for another time.
"Why.... Why did you smile like that? Do not do this to me," he let out, and all of a sudden she stopped.
"What.... I am .... I am sorry," she started to apologize.
" I was not provoking you, I smiled because none of my friends ever talked to me like that," Esperanza said.
" First, I am not your friend; friends never kissed that way," which makes her stunned and stuck in her place.
"And second thing, I am not agitated, I just love the way you did that," he let out and her heart went crazy.
"My Dear Dragon, you need to remember that you are talking to someone's wife," She smiled.
"Who? That dazed?" He let out.
"Oh....., why do you hate him so much? He is not that bad," Esperanza was trying to make him jealous.
"He is the most hated person in my life, if you let me, I will kill him in just seconds," he said, and she gasped.
"Do you dragons have something else to do, killing, cutting, slaughtering, what else?" She asks.
"Loving," he replied, and she stopped in her place; she looked down in embracement.
"Stop loving me then," she said.
"Stop attracting me then," he said looking straight into her face, and she was trying to sneak her gaze
"I do not know why, but I feel different when I am with you," Esperanza said she did not believe in her feelings, but that was getting stronger every passing day.
"You are going to destroy me," Esperanza said.
" I cannot even imagine it," he let out.
" I can burn this world for you, just your one hiss and you will see everyone burning," he said while his hand grabbed hers.
"And if someday you kill me?" Esperanza asked
"I can kill myself, but not you. Everything that you need to cross first has to get from me," Esperanza said, and go profoundly into his eyes.
"I am not okay," she said.
" What happened to you?" He asked while they were not moving their eyes.
"Some nightmares are following me," Esperanza said.
"Once you are mine, nothing is going to haunt you; you just need to decide," Orion said.
"I have no choice but this is not in my hands," Esperanza said.
"Just say yes for once," he said.
"I cannot, my parents are more important than anything, even more than my wish," Esperanza said.
" Tell me about those nightmares?" He asked.
"There is something strange about me, the thing that I am also oblivious of, some magic that is connected to me," Esperanza said and Orion frowned.
"Something is hidden in my roots, something that I have to discover before it is too late," she said
"What is it about?" He was curious and suddenly he heard the footsteps of horses.
"They are here, but why?" He whispered.
"Who?" Esperanza was shocked.
"Whom I want to destroy," he said.
"I have to go now?" He said, and Esperanza turned. The moment she looked back again, he vanished. She looked around but did not find him.
"With another wink of the eye, I lost him," she said and gasped deeply.
Esperanza stood in the garden and saw the horse standing just in front of her. She panicked and flinched backward.
Ezra got down in his majestic aura and stood in front of her, she took her steps backwards while gazing into his eyes.
" Fa..... Father......," she let out in terror.
" Do not be afraid," he let out politely and she stopped moving.
"I am here to fulfill my promise," Ezra said and she found him propitious.
" Esperanza," he let out, and suddenly she predicted a golden light reflecting his eyes.
Her being got uncomfortable and traumatizing.
"Why are your eyes glowing golden?" She asked, and that question made Raymond a percussionist.
"My... My eyes are glowing," he said, and she got frightened.
She stepped back and felt whammy, abruptly she lost control and fainted before she touched the ground Ezra caught her in his arms
