Chapter 251
Lila stared at him with innocent, confused eyes, looking into his dark gaze. Her heart suddenly skipped a beat.
She instinctively tried to step back, but as soon as she lifted her foot, she realized his hands were pressing down on her shoulders. She couldn't move at all, so she could only shake her head and refuse, "No need."
"Why not? Weren't you complaining that we're not a real married couple?"
"I wasn't complaining. I was just answering your question."
As she spoke, she reached up to remove his hands from her shoulders. But just as she tried to push them away, she felt Alexander resisted her .
Lila looked up at him, wanting to tell him to let go. But when she met his burning gaze, she noticed his eyes held a playful, probing look.
For a moment, her voice weakened considerably, "Let go of me."
Alexander smiled slightly.
However, he actually did let her go.
Lila breathed a sigh of relief, "I'm going to bed."
With that, she turned around, thinking that since they'd hugged and he'd let her go, she could finally be free for the night.
But almost the moment she lifted one foot, Alexander grabbed her wrist.
Lila looked at him in surprise. Just as she was about to ask what he was doing, she was pulled into his arms. Her chin was lifted up, and before she could react, Alexander's lips covered hers.
It took her a second to process: he was kissing her again!
He was actually kissing her!
It was evening now, after work hours, during the hugging time he had specified, and they had already hugged just now. So why was he kissing her?
As Lila pondered this question, a guess popped into her mind—could Alexander have actually fallen for her?
Why did that thought feel so terrifying?
But somehow, as he kissed her, she didn't feel any urge to push him away.
This wasn't her first time kissing Alexander, so naturally she knew she'd never been opposed to his kisses. But he always seemed to kiss her whenever he wanted, never giving her any explanation.
Alexander seemed to sense that Lila's mind was wandering during the kiss. His large hand cupped the back of her head, pressing her more firmly toward him, his lips and tongue exploring even deeper.
Her small face tilted upward, passively receiving.
Until she felt Alexander's hand on her slim waist starting to slip under her clothes—then Lila snapped awake and pushed him away without hesitation.
She stepped back several paces, and after catching her breath, glared at Alexander in embarrassed anger, " You pervert !"
He let out a casual chuckle, walking toward her as he spoke, "I'm kissing my wife. It's reasonable and legal. How does that make me a pervert?"
"Are you just kissing me? You clearly—"
"What?"
Lila was too thin-skinned after all. The best she could manage after racking her brain was, "You touched my clothes!"
Alexander stared at her flushed, puffed-up face and spoke condescendingly, "I have desire for you. Shouldn't you feel honored, hmm?"
Lila felt completely helpless at this statement.
Alexander was really so full of himself.
Everything he wanted to do was, in his mind, a favor to others— an honor for them.
Why didn't he ask if others were willing?
She knew there was no point arguing with Alexander about this, so she gave up the idea of holding him accountable.
However, Lila looked at him intently and asked very seriously, "Can you tell me why you just kissed me?"
