Chapter 250

Chapter 250

Lila silently gritted her teeth.

Since he was so convinced of it, what else could she say?

Whatever.

Anyway, from what Alexander was saying, it seemed like he couldn't do anything about her either. Being accused of those things he mentioned would not cause any real harm, as long as he didn't bully her.

As Lila lowered her eyes, she noticed Alexander was still holding her chin. She couldn't help but look up at him and asked in a neutral tone, "Honey, are you done hugging? If you're done, I'd like to go to sleep. I'm a bit tired."

His deep eyes stared at her beautiful, delicate face as she asked, "How do you feel when I hold you?"

Lila frowned slightly. "Why do you always have to do a post-event interview?"

Alexander laughed, and as he lifted his eyes, there was a hint of surprise in them. "Post-event? When have you ever done anything with me?"

"I'm talking about kissing. After kissing, you ask me how I feel. After hugging me, you also ask how I feel. Honey, let me boldly ask you something—are you worried your kissing skills are too poor, or are you concerned your embrace isn't warm enough?"

His response was a light snort from Alexander, tinged with amusement.

Lila smiled too. "Why are you so insecure?"

Alexander frowned and scoffed coldly. "Me, insecure?"

"Yes. If you were confident, why would you ask me these questions?"

"I'm being considerate of your feelings."

She drew out a long "Oh," playing along with him. "Well, thank you then."

Looking at her obedient and gentle face, Alexander suddenly felt, for some reason, that a missing part deep in his heart was being filled, completely filled.

He unconsciously pinched her cheek and tossed her two ambiguous words, "So chubby."

Lila immediately wriggled out of his arms, stood facing Alexander, and protested, "I'm not chubby at all. Elara praised my figure, said I know how to carry weight well—meat where there should be meat, and not an ounce of fat where there shouldn't be. She even envies my figure."

"From what you're saying, she's seen you naked?"

"When girls go shopping together, sometimes we try on clothes together. Sometimes when I visit Elara and stay at her place, we even shower together. What's wrong with seeing each other naked? I've seen her naked too."

Alexander took a step back and looked her over from head to toe. "You're my wife. If others can see you naked, why can't you show me too?"

Hearing this, Lila realized what his complicated gaze meant when he'd just looked her over.

She suddenly felt like his eyes had violated her, and she shrank her neck in fear.

Lila took a step back, creating what she thought was a safe distance, before speaking. "You're a man. There's a difference between men and women."

Alexander raised his lips and reminded her emphatically, "I'm your husband. The relationship between husband and wife should be the closest one. Weren't those your own words?"

Lila didn't hesitate to refute him. "We're contractual spouses, not real ones."

Alexander didn't seem upset by her words at all.

He stepped forward twice, and as he leaned close to her, his hands pressed on both sides of the woman's shoulders. His eyes, dark and complex, met her almond-shaped eyes as he spoke persuasively, "If you want me to become your husband in name and reality, I can reluctantly agree."

"Agree?" She didn't quite understand what he meant.

Alexander answered with a low hum, his voice strangely alluring. "Agree to let you sleep with me tonight, to make your identity as Mrs. Sinclair real. What do you think?"
