Chapter 739

Chapter 739

Last night, Stella used a sedative to knock out all the bodyguards, so if she did something extreme now, it wouldn't be surprising.

Margaret and Raymond didn't dare make any sudden moves.

They were supposed to wait for the police before taking any action, but just then, Margaret's phone rang. It was Stella calling her.

She quickly answered.

"Stella, what do you want?"

Stella's face was filled with a triumphant, almost manic smile.

"Margaret, I never thought I'd see you like this. I know you desperately want Liberty to live, but I need you to kneel before me. Beg me. I want you to kill yourself in front of me. Only then will I let Liberty go."

Without hesitation, Margaret responded.

"Fine, I agree. Can I come to you now and kneel before you?"

Stella was stunned by Margaret's quick agreement.

Before she could respond, Raymond's phone rang. He looked down and saw it was Dorian calling.

Dorian knew that Stella and Diana had secretly left the Brown family, and he sensed trouble.

After calling Diana earlier, he found out that the two women had kidnapped Liberty again.

His company wasn't in dire straits; even if it went bankrupt, he had some assets and could potentially make a comeback.

But now, with Stella and Diana causing such a mess, he had once again offended Raymond and the Seymour family. Staying in Harmony City would be impossible.

Raymond frowned and, after a moment of hesitation, answered the call.

Before he could speak, Dorian hurriedly explained.

"Mr. Seymour, I'm really sorry. These two women must have lost their minds. I've already fenced off the house, but they still managed to sneak out."

Raymond's face darkened. "Dorian, our families have had grudges for years, and it's time to settle them. I just called the police. I saved Stella before only because of you. Since you can't control your daughter, I'll let the law handle her."

"I can't let her run wild and threaten my daughter."

Dorian, though dejected, knew he couldn't save Stella this time.

"Mr. Seymour, I know you've done your best. Stella has gone too far. I tried to convince her this morning to leave Liberty alone, but she wouldn't listen."

Raymond snorted.

"If Stella is this reckless, I can't be blamed for cutting ties. From now on, the Seymour's family has nothing to do with the Brown family. Don't come to me for help ever again."

With that, Raymond hung up.

On Margaret's end, Stella was shocked.

"What's going on? Is Raymond there too? Let me speak to him."

Margaret turned to Raymond with the phone.

"Stella wants to talk to you."

Raymond, slightly surprised, took the phone.

"Stella, just say what you need to."

"Raymond, today I will kill Liberty. You and Margaret betrayed me first, so don't blame me for being ruthless."

Raymond found it laughable.

"I was never with you, so how could I betray you? If you kill Liberty today, do you think you'll walk out of this house alive?"

"I know I won't leave alive, but even if I die, I'll take someone with me. That someone is Liberty. I want you and Margaret to live in endless pain."

Stella's original plan was to break up Raymond and Margaret. But she realized that even if they separate, they'd still live their lives. It was better to take Liberty away before she died, leaving Raymond and Margaret with lifelong regret.

Hearing this, Margaret grew anxious.

"Stella, don't do anything rash. Liberty is just a child. She can't handle this."

Stella sneered.

"She's already close to death. What's a little more suffering? Margaret, you'll regret this for the rest of your life."

With that, Stella hung up.

Raymond and Margaret exchanged a glance and rushed into the house, unable to wait for the police.

As they burst in, they heard the distant sound of police sirens.

Raymond quickly kicked open the door and grabbed Stella.

Stella was weak, and both Raymond and Margaret were fighters. Handling Stella and Diana was easy.

Raymond restrained Stella while Margaret ran to Liberty. Diana lunged at Margaret with a knife.

"How dare you bully Stella? I'll make sure you suffer, Margaret. Today, you'll die here."

Diana, older and weaker, was easily overpowered by Margaret.

Margaret kicked Diana aside, making her stumble and fall.

Margaret picked up the knife and cut Liberty's ropes.

Liberty showed no signs of fear.

"Dad, Mom, I knew you'd come for me."

She looked at Stella and Diana.

"You two idiots! Didn't you learn anything from the last time you kidnapped me? You're so foolish, getting caught so easily. You're a joke."

Liberty's casual mockery nearly drove Stella mad.

"Mom, what are you doing? Didn't I tell you to kill Liberty if something went wrong?"
