Chapter 740

Chapter 740

"Why didn't you go after Liberty just now? Why come here to take out Margaret instead?"

Margaret knew martial arts, which Stella was aware of, but Diana could easily handle Liberty.

For a moment, everything was upside down. Diana was still in a bit of a daze. She had thought today's plan was foolproof, but she never expected Raymond and Margaret to show up and resolve everything so effortlessly.

Their plan hadn't even had a chance to unfold.

"Stella, I..."

Before Diana could finish, the police burst in, handcuffing both Stella and Diana.

Then the officer turned to Raymond.

"Mr. Seymour, sorry we're late."

Raymond, feeling a headache coming on, was only concerned about Liberty's condition. He didn't want to deal with anything else.

"Take these two to the station. We'll handle the rest tomorrow. It's too late now."

The officer nodded. "Understood, Mr. Seymour. We might need you and Ms. Neville to come in for statements tomorrow. We'll notify you."

After the police took Stella and Diana away, the house fell into an eerie silence.

Raymond and Margaret were still shaken, but Liberty looked pleased.

"Dad, Mom, isn't this great? Those two women will be taken away by the police and won't come out for a long, long time, right?"

Margaret nodded. Although Stella and Diana hadn't killed Liberty, what they did was still illegal.

Even if it wouldn't lead to a long sentence, they would face legal consequences.

Liberty saw how tense Raymond and Margaret were and tried to lighten the mood. "Dad, Mom, don't worry. I'm fine now. With Stella and Diana gone, everything will finally go back to normal."

With Stella and Diana gone, Liberty was safe for now.

Margaret felt a pang of sorrow seeing how brave Liberty was.

"Liberty, thank goodness you're okay this time. If anything had happened to you, we would've been devastated."

Just as Margaret finished speaking, Wesley and Ryan rushed in. They had seen the police outside but not Stella and Diana and were worried.

"Mr. Seymour, Ms. Neville, what's going on? Where are Stella and Diana?"

Raymond took a few steps forward. "They've been taken by the police."

Ryan sighed in relief. As long as those two women were gone, they could relax.

Raymond and Margaret stayed with Liberty at the villa. After what had happened, Raymond didn't want to leave her side.

He stayed with her all day, not even going to the office.

In the evening, Raymond received a call from Dorian, who must have just finished work.
Raymond answered the call, sounding impatient.

"What is it, Dorian? What do you want?"

"Raymond, I need to talk to you in person."

Raymond snorted. "Dorian, after what your family did, why would I meet with you? For all I know, you'll be the one trying to stab me next."
Dorian sounded embarrassed.

"Come on, Raymond. Stella and Diana were desperate. I want to talk about their situation."

Raymond frowned, sensing Dorian might be asking for leniency for Diana and Stella.

"Dorian, if you're here to plead for them, forget it. Stella has kidnapped Liberty twice. I won't let them off."

No matter what, he had to teach Stella a lesson so she wouldn't dare show her face again.

"And Dorian, don't think I'm heartless. When Stella tried to kill herself, you begged me to save her, and I did."

"You promised to keep her in check, but you failed. So now, however I deal with Stella, you can't interfere."

"Whether you accept it or not, Stella and Diana's fate is sealed. I won't be lenient."

Dorian frowned deeply.

"Raymond, even though I have a mistress and a son, Diana and I have been married for years. Stella is my daughter. How can I watch them suffer like this?"

Raymond remained indifferent.

"They brought this on themselves. There's nothing I can do."

With that, Raymond hung up.

Margaret had been listening the whole time. She had decided that if Raymond let Stella off again, she would be furious.

Liberty was her bottom line. She had let it slide once, trusting Raymond to handle it. But if he let Stella go again, Liberty's life would be in real danger next time.

"Are you sure it's okay to reject Dorian so bluntly? Won't he target your company?"

Margaret asked softly.

Raymond sneered.

"Impossible. The Brown Group is nearly bankrupt. They don't have the time or resources to target my company. Even if Dorian wanted to, he couldn't."

As they spoke, Ryan called.

Raymond answered, hearing Ryan's excited voice.

"Mr. Seymour, I've uncovered the truth about what happened back then. Are you at Ms. Neville's villa? I'll come over."
