Nolan watched her sharp eyes scan around as she walked into the section. She stood with her arms folded as she looked at him from his shoes upward, then locked eyes with him.

Smoke floated across his face, slightly obstructing her from his view, but he could still see her clearly in his head.

She was dressed in black. Her lingerie bra drew attention to her ample bosom and he broke eye contact to get a better look. She wore a garter belt that held up her black stockings, paired with red-soled stiletto heels.

Nolan smiled as he realized she had no intention to step any closer. She stared at him with pure displeasure that made his skin tingle.

"Step in," Luca coldly yelled at her.

She moved only her eyes to stare at him but she still didn't budge. She simply rolled her eyes and returned to staring back at Nolan. The Alpha nearly chuckled.

He took another drag and adjusted in his seat, placing his free hand on his thigh. The omegas on either side of him leaned close enough that their pheromones tickled his nostrils but he didn't care for them.

"Step in," he said.

She narrowed her eyes and for a moment he thought she would refuse his order. Not that he was against that. He couldn't wait to try all the methods he had to make her give in.

She reluctantly undid her arms and walked into the section but instead of walking toward him, she turned her back to him and sat down on the couch farthest away from him.

Nolan didn't stop her as she walked; rather, he watched her ass sway under the dim colorful lights. He didn't look away even after she sat down and crossed her legs.

Luca's face contorted and he looked ready to rush at her, but he immediately froze in his spot as Nolan sent a glare in his direction.

His right-hand man's actions were amusing because of her response, but he didn't condone someone else dealing with his women. She was his to order around.

"Don't you think you're seated in the wrong seat, Rosa?" He asked and took another drag.

She hated the way he called her name. He didn't have to say it like they had shared the same bed at some point.

"Wrong seat?" She asked with exaggerated confusion. "I don't think so. It was the only empty one."

Alpha Nolan's smirk widened. He knew she was talking about the omegas by his side. He turned to Luca and the guard immediately knew what to do. He was quick to be rid of the women.

They didn't protest as they were taken to a different couch, but he didn't miss the glares they sent to Rosa who didn't even spare them a glance.

"Rosa," he gently called and tapped the empty seat next to him. "There is another empty one."

"This is much more comfortable, actually."

"Really? Well, I suppose Franco—"

She stood to her feet and he sealed his lips, but his expression betrayed him. A smile tugged at his lips and amusement filled his expression.

Rosa wanted to kick him. This was clearly a game to him. The Alpha was aware of her powerlessness in this situation and he intended to take advantage of that. She wanted to smack him.

She took her time as she walked to him, but he seemed to enjoy even that as his eyes scanned every inch of her body.

The bastard.

She had dealt with enough creepy and sleazy men, so she was quite adept with them and their stares. But something about his deep blue eyes unnerved her.

Something about the way he tilted his head to the side so he could get a better look. Something about the way he held the cigar between his fingers as he smoked while locking eyes with her.

Something about all these little actions bothered her in a way she couldn't ignore.

She stopped in front of him, staring at him briefly before moving to the opposite space that he didn't tap.

Nolan closed his eyes briefly. She seemed insistent on defying him at every turn, and why was that freaking hot?

He switched the cigar to his dominant hand so the hand next to her was free. He particularly liked to keep his left free in case he needed to pull out his gun but he was willing to make an exception now.

She sat stiffly next to him, refusing to even look at him, while he did the exact opposite. He stared unabashedly at her and leaned closer to better smell her.

She was a beta; he didn't expect to smell pheromones, but surprisingly underneath her flowery perfume there was a sweet smell.

"You don't have to sniff me like a dog. I'm not an omega!"

Nolan brought the cigar to his lips once again, wondering if she would still speak as nastily as she did when he had her pinned to his bed.

"I know that," he said in response. "Was that why you sent that omega in your stead?"

She knew he was talking about Tracy and she had hoped he would take a fancy to her but by the dancer’s expression and the way he was describing her, it was clear he did not.

"Did you not like her?" She asked and finally turned around to face him. "She is exactly your type. Petite and blonde." She gestured towards the omegas sitting across from them.

Nolan didn't even glance in the direction she pointed. "You seem to have some misconceptions about me."

Blue. Her eyes are blue.

It was a little difficult to tell in the dim light but when she stared at him with such intensity, it was hard to miss the vibrant swirling color of her eyes.

"I don't think so. Besides, you didn't answer."

"Are you angry with me?" He asked with a raised brow.

However, before she could answer that he was being ridiculous, his gaze moved from her face to her chest, then rested between her legs, and then reluctantly lifted back to her face.

Shameless!

He couldn't even keep himself composed for a minute. She couldn't stand him and the longer she stayed in his presence, the more she realized it.

"No," she said with a polite smile. "Why would I be? I just thought it would be better to give you someone you’d prefer, Alpha Nolan."
