Her lower jaw nearly hit the floor as Tracy walked out of the room. She had expected the woman to need a little more convincing but she didn't even allow her to say all the speech she had prepared.
She glanced at the girl in the dressing room and smiled to herself. She had a witness. When things went south, Franco couldn't fault her.
There was more than enough proof that she had indeed told Tracy that Alpha Nolan had requested her, but Tracy had just pushed her out of the way to go instead.
She stepped out of Tracy's dressing room with a smile on her face and made her way back to her own dressing room.
She didn't have anything to do in the club right now, so she would hide in the back. It was too bad that she couldn't watch the fallout, but it was best if she wasn't seen right now.
The last thing she wanted was to be spotted after her efforts to avoid him.
After a few minutes, the music stopped abruptly and the DJ announced Alpha Nolan's name. Music started again in the background while he chanted praises about Alpha Nolan. He loudly announced the drink bought and the amount spent.
Rosa could imagine the scene. It was one she had experienced a number of times.
Lines of girls and bouncers walking around the club with Tracy holding a sign that would boldly display Alpha Nolan's name as they made their way to his VVIP section while the DJ continued speaking about him.
She shook her head, wondering why he would want to draw this much attention to himself. Didn’t the Mafia King have enemies? Layla had been attacked because of Alpha Davian.
She pushed thoughts of him away from her mind. She didn't care about him and what he did. She hoped he would take a fancy to Tracy. She was an omega after all.
Less than five minutes after the DJ returned to playing the regular club music, Rosa heard loud footsteps marching towards the dressing room.
She didn't stir; rather, she picked up her lipstick and began reapplying it even though there was no need to.
"Rosa!" Franco's voice echoed in the dressing room. "Have you lost your mind?"
She caught his reflection in the mirror. He wasn't alone; he held Tracy by the wrist as he walked in. The blonde dancer had her head bent as she was pulled in.
She slowly turned around and kept her expression dull. "Franco," she said, making her voice a little raspy.
"Are you trying to get us killed?" He queried.
Rosa winced as he stepped closer. She didn't think she had ever seen him this angry. His forehead creased so much that even his bald head was frowning.
"I didn't do anything. Tracy didn't let me go. I told her Alpha Nolan said I should lead the procession, but she called me a liar."
"I didn't stop you from going!" Tracy yelled.
She turned her gaze to the dancer and frowned. Her makeup was smeared and her eyes were red. Had she been crying?
"You pushed me away from the door!"
"I didn't do—"
"I don't care what this is about, Rosa," Franco cut in, "but you won't throw a tantrum."
"I am not throwing a tantrum. I am telling you what hap—"
"Get up and go to his section. You are to remain there until he leaves."
"Even if he does something inappropriate? You can't expect me to condone his behavior simply because he is a Mafia King. This isn't even his turf. This is Alpha Asher's club. We don't need to be subservient to him."
"What are you talking about? How has he been inappropriate?"
"He groped me. What are you talking about?"
"He apologized for that and tipped you generously. Did you forget your pay?”
"He didn't apologize."
"Well, he would have if you hadn't stomped out of his section."
"Would you rather I stay there despite how uncomfortable I was?"
Franco narrowed his eyes. "You were not uncomfortable. You were being a nuisance as you are now. I know you hate Alphas, but you wouldn't work as a stripper if you hated to be touched."
"Inappropriately! Nobody wants to be touched like that." She yelled.
"Enough! We both know you've done a few lap dances where the clients could touch you to some extent as long as they pay enough. You don't have to go this far to prove a point.
This is not someone we want on our bad side. You know I wouldn't care if this was some random Alpha. So appease him. I just spent the last two minutes apologizing about how we brought out the wrong girl.
"Never do this bullshit again. I will let it go this time. Next time, I'll take whatever damage we incur out of your pay. He could have refused the open drink because the presentation wasn't to his satisfaction. Let's see how you'd pay that up."
Rosa sighed and stared at Franco. The more he spoke, the angrier she got. At first, she was simply irritated, but now his presence was threatening her livelihood. That was not something she could allow.
"Are you deaf?" Franco asked when she didn't reply.
She turned away from him and looked at the mirror, then slowly stood up. "I am not. Apparently, my job is on the line simply because I won't suck some Alpha's dick!"
"No one is asking you to do that."
"Tell me the difference," she said as she started towards the exit.
"You know better than to take that attitude there!" Franco yelled at her back.
"Whatever, Franco," she said as she stepped out of the room.
Finding Alpha Nolan wasn't difficult, and even before she walked to the VVIP, she could feel his gaze on her as she walked through the crowd in the club.
She soon got to the top and entered his section. She stood at the entrance, not saying anything and not stepping any closer.
She could see him seated on the couch with two women by his side as usual. He was dressed in shades of brown this time. A dark brown coat, an even darker shirt, and pants that matched.
His eyes drifted to her as soon as he walked in and they locked eyes. A lit cigar rested between his fingers and he took a drag. He blew out the smoke, letting it float in her direction while he smiled at her.
