Curse Broken

I don't know what I was thinking about when I came up with the idea of the art. It just hit me like a bat to a ball. We spent almost a week at the school with the artiest, drawing and untwisting his features. Draven had been over the moon that I had come up with the idea. Everyone wanted to know who the man was. If they could get a face, then they might be able to get a name that went with it. So painstakingly, they worked on getting everything right. All three had gone in the same direction to start with, but Monica trailed off to do a more portrait style. At the end we had three different faces, but so close to the same. It was the eyes that made me gasp. Raven looked at the drawings and gasped. All three had decided that he would have brown hair with blue eyes that shined in the light. At least in the art he did. He looked so much like Draven that it was shocking. I wasn't aware of him having a brother.
"He looks like dad." Raven's hands were shaking when she put the art back on the table.
"I am rather sure that your father doesn't have a brother." I told her rubbing circles on her back.
Juilian looked at the art, but it didn't seem to recognize any of them. I would have to show them to Draven to see if he knew him. I hope that he wasn't a relation because that would mean that Raven would have to leave him alone. I knew that her heart would break, and I didn't think she would rebound any time soon.
"Thank you so much for the help. I hope that these will help to find out who he is. Send me a bill and I will that you three are paid for the work you put in." I told them as I picked up the papers.
"We couldn't take money for this." The teacher said, but I could see that the students wanted the money.
"Alright, if you are sure." I would send some art supplies and maybe some new stuff for the class, I would for sure get the students some money for helping me.
"Raven let's take these to your father. See if he knows he is." I told her as I spun, heading out of the room.
We went back to the house with Juilian at the rear of the line. He seemed to be lost in thought. Maybe he had seen something in the art that he hadn't seen in a long time. I hoped that we could help him this way. It seemed strange that he didn't know if one of them was him. When we walked into the house, I called for Draven to come to the kitchen. After a moment, he came into the kitchen with a smile on his face. We sat at the table showing him the art to see if he knew who Juilian was.
"My god!" Draven looked from the piece that Monica drew. "This is- no, it can't be!"
"Who?" I asked, seeing that he knew something.
"Marcus DeFluex. He went missing so long ago that everyone had thought his dead. In the family, he would have been considered an uncle in a way. Not blood relation, mind you." Draven looked up at Juilian and then to Raven. "I have to call mom."
He left the room to grab his phone. The call went on for a while. I wasn't sure what happened, but when Draven came back into the room, he looked white as a ghost. When he sat down at the table, he looked at me then to Raven. At that moment, Edgar flew into the house through the window we would leave open for him. When he landed on the table he looked at the papers on the table. He cawed then flew up to the cabinets.
"How the fuck did Marcus end up here?" Edgar cawed down to them. "He is dead."
"Well, it would seem that he isn't dead. Juilian is Marcus." Draven told Edgar with an edge to his voice.
"You mean twisted meat is, Marcus? How the hell did that happen?" Edgar ruffled his feathers as he spoke.
"Yes, that is what I am seeing in the art. Even if the eyes are a little off." Draven looked worried as looked up to Edgar.
"What are we missing?" I asked looking confused.
"Marcus was the...How to put it." Draven started as he thought it through.
"He was the hunter, the monster that hunted monsters. Lethal with all forms of weapons." Edgar cawed hoping from claw to claw.
"Say it again." Juilian looked toward Draven his eyes seraching for an answer to something.
"You mean the name?" Draven asked as he looked over at Juilian.
"Yes."
"Marcus DeFluex." Draven looked at him when she spoke the name.
Something changed in the air when the name was spoken again. Juilian howled in pain, thrashing as he tried to get out of the back door. We all tried to get out of the way, hoping he would be alright. Raven was screaming as she watched him twist and howl. The night was dark but at that moment a bright light burst around him. The fur on this body fell away, showing just normal skin. He howled when his legs broke and reformed into human legs with feet. Raven was crying as she watched him transform. I had to hold her to keep her from trying to help him. I have never seen someone go through so much pain, the blood alone was shocking. Pieces of skin, teeth and something else lay on the ground. We watched for over an hour as he thrashed on the ground. Going into the second hour, he lay limp on the grass. I waited another few moments before letting her go to him. Draven brought a blanket out to cover him. Raven helped put it on him hiding his nude body. When she put a hand on his shoulder, he jerked away from her as if he was in pain. Which would make sense seeing what he had just gone through.
"Marcus?" Draven whispered his name. The moment he did Marcus looked up at him.
I gasped because his eyes weren't blue but a deep green. His face was smooth and looked so young. Raven sat on the ground looking at him in shock. It took him another twenty minutes to find a voice. The moment he did he didn't speak to Draven, but to Raven. He didn't speak, instead he pulled her to him putting his lips on hers. Raven froze for a moment, then melted into him. When they broke apart, they both were fighting for breath.
"I have wanted to do that since I first met you. It was hell to be with you and not be able to hold you or kiss you." Marcus told Raven, then kissed her again.
"Okay you two that is enough of that. Don't want to watch." Draven glared at Marcu
